Gundam Wing - Description/Synopsis
The space colonies have grown tired of the oppressive rule by Earth Government, a corrupt organization ruled by people who have no real interest in the colonists or their well-being. Resistance forces in the colonies have created five special Mobile Suits (robot-like vehicles) called Gundams. Five young pilots have been selected to sneak these Gundams down to Earth and begin a guerrilla campaign that will end the Earth Government\'s rule forever. These pilots appear little more than children, but they carry the hopes and dreams of thousands of people with them as they descend to Earth to fight for their freedom.

Gundam Wing Rocks!!!!!!
I got into Gundam Wing somewhat when they were still showing it on Cartoon Network, but once I started reading some of the fanfics for it I'm hooked! Gundam Wing is the best Action anime around so fair it's sooooo much better than the other Gundam sagas. You wanna know a really weird thing? I'm a girl on top of it as well, not to mention my favourite couple is....HeeroxDuo alll the way!

Yo, it's Gundam Wing!
Those Cartoon Network commercials DIDN'T do this anime ANY justice! When I saw those commcercials, Gundam Wing looked like a really corny show. But when I saw the first episode, I was immediately hooked! Three years ago, I didn't really pay attention to the whole "bishonen" thing. The plot is amazingly complicated and there's a ton of action! So this series is ideal for a guy. But then you have the girls, they LOVE bishonen and how the colonies picked out the five hottest guys in the universe is BEYOND me! For me, I love the plot AND the bishonen so, I'm basically happy all the way! ^_^

Gundam Wing
Gundam Wing is my ALL TIME favorite anime... and the funny part is... I'm a girl. That's right. I love the action and complex storyline of Gundam Wing. It takes alot to understand it (half the time I ignored the narator ^.^)

I hear the manga is not as good, but as long as it is Gundam Wing, than it's gold to me. Gundam Wing is a great series and deserves nothing under five stars!

3 years GW fan
I love Gundam Wing. But too bad I haven't seen the Japanese version before. I've only heard the Japanese voices and their image songs . The opening song was great and I thought it had something to do with the anime. Too bad I haven't seen all of the 49 episodes just a few various ones. If anyone is going to ask who's my favorite character you can just picture me in a corner trying to count my fingers, because I love all 5 pilots. But If anyone ask me who's my favorite supporting character... that will be Noin.

My SHOW!! *ahem* ^.^
Okay, okay, I'll admit it. Gundam Wing is very likely not the best anime in all existance. It's probably not even the best Gundam series (it certainly isn't in the eyes of many Gundam fans). I'll even admit that Gundam Wing borrows so much from the original Gundam that it's a bit diheartening (Char Aznable/Zechs Marquis, anyone?)...

Why then, am I still obsessed with it?

Because it's good. While the battles are epic in nature (albeit often "meaningless," as the show likes to phrase it)to satisfy the need to watch things blow up, the little things grab the more attentive viewer. More specifically, I'm talking about plot and character development. Gundam Wing is blessed with a variety of characters ranging from dispisable to lovable, all weaving into the plot with an integral purpose, despite how large or small the part (and some of the roles are very small... Trant, Alex & Muller, Otto... the show wouldn't have the same ends without each of them). And, more importantly, these characters change with the passage of time, for better or worse, as they grow and develop within the year the show gives them. Within its plot, Gundam Wing raises some interesting points about humanity, almost all of them political; most prominent concerns the true meaning of peace, but the show also branches out into the oft-uncomfortable question of the worth of humanity. Between the ZERO-system and the mobile dolls, machines seem to replace humanity, while humans (specifically, Heero Yuy & Trowa Barton) are little more than machines themselves. Such dehumanization, the becoming of the "perfect soldier," is both idolized and criticized within the context of the series. In the end, humanity triumphs over the mechanical mess it has created, both within their technology and within themselves. Fitting, especially considering that one machine tells another, before they realize that they are indeed human, to "always act on your emotions"... maybe they weren't too far gone after all.

Not bad for "likely not the best anime in all existance," huh? ^.^

GUNDAM RULES!
I've watched all the gundams and i have to say, this is the best i've seen yet! it's totally abstract from the rest of the series. Plus there're are cuter bishonen in it to glomp! *sigh* hmmm...duo...

An all around wonderful series...
There is one thing that annoys me about people who insult gundam wing: they speak usually after only seeing commercials or one episode. The thing is, gundam wing has such an intricate plot, that you're not going to understand everything that is going on the first time you see it. The best thing to do is ask someone who has seen it to explicate what's going on, or remain patient throughout the series. I promise it'll start to make sense. This is one of those series that you can watch over and over and over again and never get tired of. The art style of the boys is wonderful and aesthetically pleasing (especially for female fans), and you'll find yourself humming the music in your spare time. After watching, during watching, or before watching, I suggest reading the Episode Zero Manga. You'll get so much more out of it if you do because it explains the motivations of the characters. Gundam Wing is extremely addictive, and you'll find yourself cheering for your particular favorite character! And besides that, you'll find that as the series progresses, characters you may have originally not favored will grow on you. Don't make any generalizations before having watched the series because there is more to each pilot than you might think. This has gotten long, so I'll leave you with one more tip: GO WATCH THE SERIES!

Sugoi!
Gundam WIng is a good anime it's just sad that it ended at 49 episodes and a three part OVA. The opening songs Just Communication and Rhythm Emotion done by Two-Mix are the best! Heero's great an all but I much rather perfer Duo-chan any day compared to Heero. As for Wufei....I'm not even going to touch on that subject... Anyways Gundam Wing's great! VIVA LA RESISTANCE!

Gundam Wing kicks butt!
I haven't seen much of the anime, but I'm so hooked on the anime and manga. Duo and Wufei are my favorite bishonen of the series, and I guess Relena's ok, as long as she doesn't hurt Duo in anyway. ^^

Mechas and Bishounens
Well- the only reason I started watching Gundam Wing was because the bishounen characters caught my eyes. Namely Heero Yuy- he's so adorable ^^ Anyways, I started watching the show, and I find myself completely lose on what was going on. I suppose it was because I started somewhere in the middle of the series, and I didn't watch it in chronological order.

I found myself more interested with the characters than the actual plotline. When I finally did figure out what was going on, I saw how intelligent the whole show was. Considering the political and war aspects between Earth and Space. Yet, I did not care for those. What interested me most are the characters- and just to let you know, it's just not because they're cute, Gundam pilots.

First of all, how interesting is it that the Gundam pilots were a group of boy-band looking 15 years olds? These were the ones that were supposed to fight for an entire world of space colonies against Earth? Along with girls as young as them, who did not pilot mechas but were involved in other different ways.

I guess what disappointed me the most was the lack of character developments. The show focused so much on sounding intelligent and the whole mecha fights. I guess I shouldn't have expected anything more, being that Gundam Wing was meant to be a mecha show. Most tune it to see the cool Gundams blow things up- and that's just not my thing. I like to get to know the characters, their lives, their personalities and find out why they were the way they are. Although, that's what makes the Gundam Wing characters fun. Fans can make speculations and therefore bring out the most interesting fanfics and fanart I've seen. Debates run rampant within the fandoms of the romantical side of the characters. It's quite fun.

All in all, Gundam Wing is a good show for anyong looking for nifty looking mechas, cute pilots... and cute pilots. Still- it's one of my favorite shows ^_^
