Hemino is a very cool character..Any girl could learn to relate to her...plus why wouldn't you watch it...it has a bunch of hot anime guy's... that should be enough of a real reason to watch Pretear... in the begining it's really funny...then it takes a turn at it gets really serious.. but anyone could like it...u just have to give it a chance.

I just got this anime the other day it is really good not to be missed out if your a fan of any shojo, magical girl, action story. Some people will say it's like a short anime of sailor moon, they're wrong! It starts out with the seven Leafe knights in a world called leafenia (kinda sounds dumb and idiotic I thought so to at first) and what happens is the princess of disaster escapes from her imprisonment and brings what's called red snow that takes away leafe (which is from plants, water, anything living like that) the leafe knights decide to find a pretear and change the snow from red to white, Hayate (a big main male character) goes against this idea from occurences that happened in the past; 16 years ago...We soon meet Himeno Awayuki who's father just remarried and now her and her father live in a huge mansion a size of a mini country also with Himeno's two step sisters Mayune and Mawata and her stepmother Natsue. Himeno ends up being late for school just as the leafe knights are looking for the pretear, with Hayate finding Himeno and after a quick fight realizing that she is the pretear. Himeno goes off and goes to school but when she goes back home she's greeted by the seven knights and a demon larva soon shows up...and it all begins with the journey of being pretear. What I like about this series is Himeno can gain the power of one leafe knight when she merges with 'him'. She can chose from (Hayate: Wind, Sasame: Sound, Go: Fire, Kei: Light, Mannen: Ice, Hajime: Water, and Shin: Plants) and each time she merges with a new knight she has a different outfit so it's always different and there's action just enough to have a good series but not overdoing it or having to little of it. Really worth a try in at least watching a few episodes, if you have to choose though between the anime and manga pick the anime. Last thing this series seems like Cinderella you might think it's a new cinderella story but it's actually another Snow White story the show and manga are actually called 'Pretear: The New Legend of Snow White' That's all I have to say kind of a long review but I wanted to help any one who wants to buy this series or check it out once, hope I helped any one^^;
