Desperation

…Zack burst through the doorway to find the apartment dark. His only illumination came from the light flooding in from the hallway, and what he saw made his heart clench in terror.
Sephiroth stood in the center of the room, his back to the doorway, holding a gun against his temple.
Zack’s frozen horror lasted only a moment before he was bolting across the room. His arm went around the General’s waist as his hand came up to grip the other man’s wrist, drawing the gun away…
