Nico Robin , Nami and Tashigi

One day I decided to put my How to Draw Manga paper to good use , and this interesting drawing came to mind . Finally after about 2 weeks of drawing and suffering I finally finished this . First of all I want to say that my Scanner sucks , Big time so blurring and some discoloration is due to that . About this drawing , it features Nico Robin , Nami and Tashigi from One Piece . I was going to include Vivi but unfortunely she never came out good enough so I had to eliminate her completely . The inspiration for this drawing is those wallpaper like One Piece manga color portraits that Echido Oda does so perfectly . Ok , the map background didn´t come out that good but it was hard shading it once the girls were done because since I used charcoal pencils , it spread and looked horrible . I decided to draw each one of them kind of fancy and if you notice closely Nami´s dress is like one she actually wears in a manga illustration but I also found that almost exact dress in a magazine and thought it was such as coincidence that I had to draw it , other than the bow decoration on the dress it is identical to the one she wears in the manga . About that weird looking rock on the background , it´s supossed to be Raftel ( the last Island on the Grand line ) but the picture I found was kind of small so I really coldn´t see much detail on it . This whole drawing is supossed to be like a chapter thingie that I made up , so if it´s corny just ignore it , I was out of ideas . Well , just incase your wondering , I really worked hard to capture each one of the characters personalities and traits and I really hope it shows because my style of drawing women is kind of , hard to distinguish . Hopefully Robin looks mature , Nami has her cat like eyes and Tashigi has that sort of sad look in her eyes . That´s about it , hope you enjoy and don´t mind Nami´s sudden perm – michiru1
