He's gone again. Duo sat at the single desk and stared at the blueprints, photographing every detail with his mind. It was calming, this series of staring coldly, analyzing, filing it away with all the rest. It kept his mind off…other things.
Heero had slept all day. Heero was tired. Heero should not have been on a mission. They should have gone together. Duo wouldn't be there when Heero got back. What if Heero didn't get back?
Shaking his head, Duo looked back at the mission plans and forced his mind to continue. He would not think about what he could not have.
Besides, Duo wouldn't be coming back either. Not to that room. Not any time soon. Glaring at the mission report, Duo wondered where the next night would find him. He wanted to leave a note, wanted to leave something…anything!
He caught sight of the blanket…it was such a warm blanket. He didn't want to give it up, but…
