Kodomo No Omocha Fan Fiction ❯ Hated, Love ❯ Chapter 8 ( Chapter 8 )

[ T - Teen: Not suitable for readers under 13 ]

Ongaku: Hey-Hey-Hoo! Like I promised the update was soon. ^^ I'm still trying to decided if I want to make an epilogue type of thing for this fic or not. I really can't think of anything good, so it all depends on how this all turns out. I have this chapter and the next and then this fic is done hehe. Yay!

Akito: Are you planning to write any other stories?

Ongaku: Actually I have already started a new CCS fic going to be called Mistaken Young. But I don't plan to let people read it until I at least finish 5 chapters if not the whole thing.

Syaoran: Good you need to write a CCS fic and not just things of that weirdo.

Akito: What was that?!

Ongaku: *Shakes head back and forth* now, now don't fight you two. I am probably going to write just one CCS fic. I will leave that series up to my sister because she is a great writer and I don't want to be compared to her with those. If you get what I mean.

Akito: So does that mean you will write more KNO fic?

Ongaku: Yup it sure does, but don't hurt me lol. I don't have anything mind for another story yet. All I can say it that is most likely will be rated R next time.

Akito: Rated R? 0_0

Ongaku: No! Not what you are thinking no nc-17 stuff just things that little kids shouldn't read if you know what I mean.

Syaoran: Hey wait a minute! Isn't that one for CCS you are working on going to be rated R?

Ongaku: Yuppers got it right. Anyways, on to the KNO fic now. Talk more some other time ok? One more thing! You guys are going to hate more for the ending of this chapter. hehe

Chapter 8 Hated, Love

Sana slammed her hand down on her alarm clock to get it to stop ringing. She really hated that noise and someday she planned to get one that played music instead. Today would be the first day back to school for her since that indecent on Thursday. She had all weekend to kind of talk with her mom and just think things over as best she could. She decided she would go on break for her acting career but would not give it up. Also she would attend school until she just couldn't. Sure talk would spread like a wild fire, but she wanted to finish her last year of high school.

She had gone on her first meeting with a doctor with out Akito since it was just going to be simple stuff and she really just didn't want to see him. She pretty much begged her mom not to call him for it.

The doctor had told her that since she got pregnant about 2 or 3 weeks ago her due date would be sometime around the end of May. That seemed like such a long time away, and she was so sick of her morning sickness. Her mother told her she should tell Akito everything important the doctor told her. She really didn't want to, she felt so nervous having to talk to him, but her mother was right. He had a right to know.

Sana walked groggily to her bathroom to take a quick shower. It wasn't as relaxing as it usually was. This time it just felt cold and tiresome. Washing out the last of the soap in her hair she turned off the water then stepped out drying herself off with a towel.

She grabbed her simple school clothes and put them on carefully trying not to slip and fall. Then she got the blow drier and started to dry her hair. Everything seemed like a normal school morning, but Sana knew it was far for normal, because this time she was carrying a life inside of her.

Walking out of the bathroom she headed back to her room so she could brush out her hair and put it another braid. For some reason that is all she wanted to do with her hair. She didn't even add in accessories of any kind or curl the loss ends, though that didn't matter because they were curly enough already.

She powdered her face a little and added her simple lip-gloss. Stepping back she took a full look at her whole self in the mirror. Lifting up her shirt a bit she took a long glance at her belly. She wasn't far along enough for it to show, but she could feel the difference. It seemed so odd to her. It gave her a feeling a dread and happiness at the same time. Dread because she became pregnant at such a young age and not married, and happiness because she was going to have a baby. It seemed weird but that was how she felt.

Taking a look at the clock she noticed that is was time for her to go. She grabbed her bag and headed down the stairs. Her mother handed her a piece of buttered toast and a protein drink that the doctor recommended. He had told her that it was important to eat a lot and gain weight. Sana almost wanted to faint after she heard that. She could barely stand to eat, but it was for her baby so she sucked it up and did as she was told. Later through time the eating thing was starting to grow on her once again.

"Hopefully I won't throw this up." Sana mumbled to herself.

She walked carefully munching on her toast and slurping her drink. It was a beautiful autumn morning. So quiet and peaceful the walk was. It was so quiet in fact that Sana could here the leaves bristle by the wind.

Sana adjusted her backpack as she finished up the last of her toast. For some reason it just felt uncomfortable and heavier than usual. "Ugg this sucks."

As she was fidgeting she began to lose her balance. "Oh crap."

Expecting to feel the cold hard ground she was embraced by a warm tight hold. Looking up she saw a pair of strong golden eyes. "Whhaa.. Akito? What are you doing here?"

Akito helped her back up on her feet and let her go, backing up a bit.

"Waiting her for you." He said, while handing out his hand.

Sana stared at his open hand. "What?"

Akito sighed inwardly, "Your bag."

"Oh but!" Sana exclaimed. She couldn't believe he was doing this. Something must have happened to him over the weekend. Still Sana didn't move.

Akito walked up to her and grabbed the bag throughing it over his shoulder. Then turned and started to walk slowly as if waiting for her to catch up.

Sana blinked in confusion, but caught up with him anyways. She would have to get use to this because of what her mother had said. How she expected them to be responsible. Knocking her out of her thoughts, Akito began to talk.

"My father says he wants to see you." His voice was so plain as if he was talking to himself.

"Oh?" Sana said slightly high-pitched, She didn't mean for it to come out that way, it was just what he said came as a slight surprise.

"Yeah, is that ok?"

Sana nodded her head even though he couldn't see it and said, "sure. When?"

"When ever you are ready." Akito said still not looking at her.

Sana wished he would look at her when he talked. It made her feel really incompetent. "Oh ok. I will think of a good time today and tell you later."

Akito didn't say anything else to her after that and the rest of the walk was in complete silence.

Finally after what seemed like an eternity they arrived at the school. Akito still had her bag and they where still walking side by side as the entered the school yard, getting stares from the people already there.

Sana looked up at Akito, but it didn't seem like he was bothered by it at all. It bothered her though, because she knew they couldn't be thinking anything good. The last time people saw her she had fallen being sprawled out on the ground barely conscience.

Akito watched as Sana squirmed by his side glancing around nervously at all the people staring. `Annoying people.' He thought. Didn't anyone here of the saying, `Mind your own business'?

"Just ignore them." He said calmly getting Sana to look at him in question.

Sana nodded her head. He was right; she really should just ignore them. It wasn't like they knew anything about her.

Just as Sana thought she could calm down she felt a cold shiver run up and down her spine. Turning around she searched for the source of the chill. Immediately she came eye to eye with Onmei, who was glaring coldly at her. She knew the girl couldn't be happy since it wasn't long ago she was going out with Akito. It stung a little remembering those awful times, she almost felt anger again but she held it inside knowing it wouldn't do any good right now.

She looked up at Akito hoping he noticed as well but he was just staring off into space. If only she knew how deep in thought he really was.

Akito thought about his conversation with his dad and about how he took it.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

"Dad I need to talk to you." Akito said in his stone cold voice.

"Does it have to be now Akito?" his dad answered back slightly irritated he was sitting at the table paying his bills.

"Yeah it has to be now." Akito became irritated. What was so hard about a talk?

"What could be so important, Akito?"

Now Akito was mad. "Fine I won't tell you. You don't need to know. It's not like you are a part of my life. Sometimes it is hard to believe I was a planned child."

Akito's father looked at him as he said this. What had happened to his son to make him blow up like this. Every since his mother died they hardly ever talked and now that his sister had moved out there was no more yelling and they could at least say a few things to each other. Only thing was they still weren't close. "Akito you know that is not true. I am a part of your life."

"No your not." Akito spat back in more anger. "You don't know anything about me. You don't even know what I do and what I am up too! I could be getting married and you would never know!"

To bad Akito's father was taking a sip of his coffee at the moment, because as soon as Akito said the word married he began to spit it back up coughing and gagging. "What's going on here Akito?" he finally mustered to say. "You aren't getting married are you?"

"NO! Will you just LISTEN!?" Akito yelled as he pounded his hand into the wall.

Akito's father flinched at the sound of bone meeting wood. "Ok Akito I'm listening."

Akito took a deep breath to try and calm himself down. Who would have thought that things would turn out this way?

"I have slept with a girl." He said just barely above a whisper.

"Did you use protection?" his father asked.

"That's just it, I found out not to long ago that she is pregnant."

"What are you going to do?"

Akito's eyes widened at his fathers bleak reaction. "I don't know."

"Hum.. well this is very surprising. What is a father to tell his child at a situation like this? You have some time to think on it, but keep in mind she is carrying a baby that has your blood in it as much as hers. Soon it will show and things will change. Right now you need to make sure you help her through it. Watch her carefully because this will be a lot of work for her. She will need as much help as she can get."

Akito stared at his father for a while before saying, "But what if she doesn't want my help."

"Even if she says she doesn't it is a lie. Everyone needs help more than they think. Do you love her?"

Hearing that questions Akito faltered. He didn't feel any love to her, just regret. "No."

Akito's father brought his hand to his chin. "I see, well I trust you to do what is best. I'm not you and I can't make the decision for you. It is obvious you don't hate her, maybe in time something will click."

At those words Akito was about to tell his dad, of course he hated her! But then he heard the, it is obvious you don't, and he couldn't understand why it was obvious, when he definitely thought he hated her.

"Can I meet her?"

Akito looked back up at his dad after deciding not to tell his dad any of his thoughts. "It's up to her." He strangled to say.

"Ok then. If she can I would like to meet her."

Nodding his head Akito turned and left the kitchen heading back to his room to think things over some more.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

Coming back to reality Akito opened the door and let Sana walk in first following in behind.

Fuka and all of Sana's friends were already there. So as soon as they saw her they gathered around, asking her how she was doing.

Sana smiled telling everyone she was ok and not to worry. No one took notice of Akito still behind her just watching with no emotion on his face.

"So Sana?" Fuka whispered into her ear. "Did you tell your mom yet?"

Sana simply nodded her head, and Fuka smiled glad that she finally did.

That's when Fuka finally took notice of Akito. She started at him curiously but he just stared back. "Hayama?"

Everyone stopped talking and looked in Akito's direction.

Sana gulped, she had almost forgotten all about Akito. She couldn't believe he would still be next to her, but then of course he still had her bag. Turning around she became face to face with Akito once again.

"Sorry." She mumbled.

Akito didn't say anything to her though.

"Sorry everyone I got to stop talking right now. I will talk to you later ok?"

Everyone just nodded slightly stunned. Only Fuka, Aya, and Tsuyoshi knew why he was with Sana.

Sana didn't know if she should just start walking and he will follow or to grab his arm and pull him. The image of her doing that just didn't seem possible though. She reached out her hand to take his but pulled back immediately wondering what in the world she was doing.

As she was pulling back she felt a warm hand slide into hers. She looked up seeing it was Akito's and felt really nervous. They started walking over to her desk still not saying anything.

As they reached her desk Akito put her bag on the back of her chair letting go of Sana's hand quickly. He couldn't believe he had done that, but for some reason when he noticed her reaching out he just had to.

Sana bowed slightly, "Thanks." She said quietly. Then she sat down as Akito did the same thing behind her.

Class started shortly after that.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

The rest of the school day was pretty boring. Nobody really bothered Sana or asked her what was going on between her and Akito. The only slight problem she had was the constant glares and snickers that came from Onmei and her friends.

She ignored them like Akito said though, talking to her friends and pretending that nothing out of the ordinary had happened to her.

Akito had walked her home even though she told him he didn't need to but then he said if she where to fall like this morning then where would she be? Blushing in embarrassment she finally agreed and walked with Akito in that uncomfortable silence again.

Now Sana was home and soon she would have to call Akito to tell him when it would be ok to meet his dad. She had talked it over with her mother and she said it would be a good idea to meet him sooner than later. Sana decided to take up what her mother said, so she was going to meet him this weekend.

Dialing his number she waiting patiently for someone to pick up. After about 4 rings someone did.

"Hello?" came a rough voice.

"Um Hi, is Akito Hayama there?" Sana asked slightly nervous.

"This is him. Is this Sana?"

Sana sighed glad that it was just him and not his dad or something. It was the strangest thing feeling that though. "Um yeah. I called because I wanted to tell you that this weekend would be a good time for me to meet your father."

"Ok." Was his simple reply.

She wished he would talk more; she hated having to be the one doing all the talking. "Ok then, bye." Then she hung up not waiting to see if he would say bye or not.

Akito just stared at his phone for a while. "That was weird." He finally mumbled.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

Days past and nothing really new happened. Before Sana knew it, it was already Saturday and she would be meeting up with Akito to head towards his house so she could meet his father.

Just as Sana was about to sit down on the living room couch the doorbell rang. "He is a little early." She said out load to herself.

She made her way to the door and opened it to see of course Akito. She grabbed her coat and yelled as she walked out the door, "Bye mom, Rei! Be back later!" Then she shut the door and turned to Akito.

"I'm ready."

Akito nodded his head and they began to make the journey to his house. The weather outside had already gotten colder so now they where both wearing coats.

Sana watched Akito's strange facial expressions. She wondered if he was thinking about something big to be looking like that. She hopped his dad was nice, and wondered about his mother and if he had any other family.

"Are you ok?" Sana finally asked, curiosity getting the better of her.

Akito stopped walking and turned to her. He was surprise she asked him such a thing. "Yeah why do you ask?"

This time it was Sana's turn to be shocked. She couldn't believe he actually said a sentence! "I don't know, you just seemed like you where thinking about something bad for a minute."

Coming back to his senses Akito just shrugged and said, "Just thinking, I have a lot to think about you know."

Sana nodded her head at this. "Yeah I guess you do."

They where quiet the rest of the walk before they were in front of a quaint house. It was a nice one and very lovely, Sana thought. She hopped maybe it wouldn't be too bad.

Akito walked in his house holding the door out for Sana to catch it and enter as well.

As soon as she came in she looked up to see a tall man with dark black hair and the sign of old age showing on his face. He looked really tired and stressed out and the way Akito and him stood side by side seemed really cold or uncomfortable.

"Hello." The man began to say, "You must Sana Kurata. Nice to meet you I am Akito's Father."

Sana bowed respectfully and greeted him. "Nice to meet you too Mr. Hayama."

Akito's father liked this young girl already. Something about her held a strong glow. It almost reminded him of his deicide wife. He smiled at her to make sure she was a little more comfortable.

Sana noticed his effort and smiled back at him. He seemed to be so nice, but it was odd how Akito and him didn't even bother to greet each other as he walked in. With her being so nosey she just couldn't help but ask.

Bowing again in a more uncomfortable manner she began, "I'm sorry to ask this but it seems like you too are in a fight."

Akito coughed at her realization, it made him feel weird, almost happy knowing it right away.

Akito's father said nothing but in shock as well. He thought she was definitely sharp on things and she could feel bad vibes in a matter of speaking.

"That is some pick up on things you have their Sana." Akito's father said. "Since you ask, we haven't really been on good terms for a while now."

"Oh." Sana said a little sad, "Is it because of all this?"

Akito's father nodded his head. "It might seem that way but that's not the case at all."

Akito finally snorted, "Yeah it is more of the case of you being a lousy father."

Sana was shocked to here him say something like that to his dad. His dad didn't say anything back though. He just had a sad look in his eyes. Sana was also a little shocked because he soon to would be a dad. Did he even realize this?

"Umm.. Akito." Sana sacredly started.

"What." He spat.

Sana flinched, but she had to say it. "Isn't that being a little hard on him? Pretty soon you will know what it is like to be a father if you are still around that is."

Akito looked at Sana in shock. She was getting a lot bolder then he thought she would.

"What is in the past is the past" Sana continued. "It's sad to fight for so long. I have no idea what caused it but it is obvious in your fathers eyes he is regretful for it. I can also tell you wish it would be over as well Akito. I never had a father, but I wish I had. But I never regret on the past and I am happy to be with my very loving mother and great friends. It is what keeps me going even through all that hard times."

Akito looked back at the ground now. If only she knew how much her words were perfect for topic. He felt even more bad for doing this to her. She was so strong unlike he was.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

After that they conversed all three of them with the tension in the air disappearing more and more. Sana was happy for them and hoped they would all work it out in their time.

Now Akito was walking Sana back home. They where still quiet but Sana wasn't as uncomfortable as she use to be.

Suddenly Akito said something. "Thank you Sana." He mumbled.

That took Sana by surprise. "For what?"

"For telling us all that stuff at the beginning."

Sana now understood and she smiled to herself. "Oh that. Your welcome."

Sana finally got to her house. She waived bye to Akito. "See you tomorrow at school." Then she entered the house.

Akito just stared at her entering the door, not saying anything in return. Something weird was going on with him.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

That night Sana had slept well for once. She woke up feeling a new serge of energy in herself. Akito had actually said some words to her and he said thanks you! She was also happy that the walk back from his house wasn't as tense as it used to be.

It gave her hope. Maybe there was still a chance to be with him, and maybe he really did care about her. She knew it was stupid to be in love with a guy who had hurt her so much in the past but it just couldn't be helped.

She didn't want to tell anyone though. She knew her friend Fuka would probably hit her over the head if she told her. Fuka was a good friend and all but sometimes she just didn't understand things. Tsuyoshi couldn't be told because then he would probably end up telling Akito and she couldn't get Aya alone with out Tsuyoshi being there now.

She wondered about Naozumi as well. The last time she had seen him was when Akito had told him off saying that he was her boyfriend. Now it all made since for him to say that to just Naozumi. He didn't need some guy to get in the way. One solitary tear fell down her cheek and landed quietly on the carpet floor. "If only what he said was true." She muttered to herself.

She quickly got ready for school doing her daily morning routine and set out to for school. She knew she would probably meet up with Akito shortly so she made sure not to take her time.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

It had been 2 months now and she was starting to show. Akito had been treating her the same lately. Being there to help her carry things and acting like how a gentleman should. Only problem was that it never got any further. They still hardly seemed like friends, and people loved to stare. Especially now that she was showing.

Sana sighed as she walked down the sidewalk towards the school and Akito. For some reason she had a bad feeling about this day, and didn't even want to get up this morning.

Akito was leaning against a fence just staring up at the sky. Sana watched him for a minute a slight blush coming to her cheeks. Her heart was pounding but she had to ignore it. She cleared her throat to let Akito know she was there now.

He turned to her and got up off the fence. Then he walked over to her taking her bag once again with out saying anything as usual.

Sana shrugged and she decided to be a little brave. "Good morning." She said in her genki voice.

Akito didn't look at her but replied, "Good morning."

Sana smiled; it was the same as usual. She never asked him any questions afraid of what he might say. Being more afraid of hearing the cold hard truth.

She was really tired of that stupid girl Onmei snickering at her and saying rude things about her. She knew she did, even if it was behind her back and she felt that Onmei was a coward for not coming face to face with her. But then she figured it was probably because Akito was always next to her. She was glad of that.

Arriving at the school, Akito and Sana headed for the classroom. Sana greeted her friends and they said there good mornings back, smiling at her. Other's who didn't know Sana felt sorry for her. They knew she was pregnant now of course and they figured she was raped. At least that is what one of the rumors was that was going around. Before they new it, class had started.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

It was now lunchtime but Sana didn't feel like meeting up with everyone just yet. She told Akito he could go on ahead but he had insisted he stay next to her. She really didn't want him to because she wanted some time alone, but she didn't have the heart to tell him that.

Now the two of them where walking outside even though it was cold. To Sana it felt nice having her face get numb, it also gave a good excuse for getting a runny and red nose.

It felt weird having Akito just follow her wherever she went. Like, some sort of stray kitten who didn't want to be left alone.

Walking down a ways she noticed somebody in the distance. It didn't take long for her to figure out whom it was and for them to catch up with her since she was walking their direction as well.

"Well if it isn't the slut Sana." Onmei spat.

Sana flinched at those words. It was the first time Onmei was actually saying something to her face. She turned to Akito but he wasn't go to say anything he just stared at her with an angry expression on his face. She figured he thought she could handle it.

"How dare you call me that." Sana finally said.

"Why shouldn't I call you that?" Onmei replied. "I bet you don't even know who the dad is. Probably been sleeping with a lot of guys."

Sana clenched her hands into really tight fists. She couldn't stand this girl.

"You know whatever you say to me doesn't matter. I know what's the truth and what's not. You are really pathetic you know." Sana finally spat back in a really angry tone.

Onmei just rolled her eyes. "Say what ever you want little bitch. But remember here, you're the one pregnant not me."

The she turned to Akito and said, "Why do you follow her around like that? She isn't any of your concern. It makes me sick how she has you tied around her little finger. I bet that baby of hers is going to be just as slutty and stupid as she is."

Sana wanted to cry. It was one thing to say all those things about her but to say those kinds of things about her baby like that really hurt. She was about to say something back when Akito did instead.

"Shut up Onmei. Don't talk about her child like that. You have a problem with her then say it to her. But don't be a coward by calling her baby names."

Onmei looked at Akito with a hurt look, but it vanished quickly. "Whatever. Then she walked away as if nothing happened."

Sana still wanted to cry badly. Akito might have stood up for her, but not how she had wished. He had called the baby just her child and didn't even mention he was the father.

Akito noticed Sana look of complete pain. He was about to reach out to her when she quickly darted away running as fast as she could.

Sana didn't want to see him anymore. She was mad, and hurt. She felt really stupid for ever falling him love with him, when it was clear that he did not feel that same way and probably only thought of her as a thorn in his side.

Akito tried to catch up with her but he fell behind more and more. She was a really fast runner, he realized, but he didn't give up.

Sana ran with the tears now freely pouring down her face. She didn't know where she was going she just had to get away from Akito.

Fuka was starting to get worried now that Sana hadn't shown up for lunch, so she went outside to look for her. It shocked her even more when she noticed Sana was running in her direction with tears springing from her eyes.

Sana took notice of Fuka and ran up to her, throwing her arms around her. "Oh Fuka I'm such an idiot."

Fuka hugged her friend and tried to sooth her down but it wasn't working. She had really hit hard this time and the only way to calm her down now was to wait and give her time.

Akito stopped and hid behind a wall close by peeking over it when he heard Sana say Fuka's name. He listened carefully to their conversation.

"Sana what is wrong." Fuka asked wanting her to at least tell her why she was crying.

"Fuka." Sana said between sobs, "I'm so stupid. I know you will think so as well. It hurts so much and I'm so embarrassed that I don't want to show my face to Akito ever again."

Akito's ears perked up at hearing his name and he listened even more closely now.

"Sana, please tell me. I promise I will not think you're stupid. How could I ever think that when you are my best friend?" Fuka said while petting Sana head softly.

"I… I still love Akito so much Fuka." Sana said getting the hiccups now. "I love him so much and it hurts because I know he hates me just as much. I am such a fool to fall in love with him, but I just can't get out the good feeling I got when he touched me or kissed me. Oh Fuka! What am I going to do?"

Fuka felt really bad for her friend now and really pissed off at Akito. She too began to cry with Sana and the held on to each other crying together.

Akito leaned against the wall now in complete shock. He had no idea that she was in love him with still, and to be in love with him that much. He didn't know what to do but his stomach began to turn and the next thing he knew he was running towards the men's bathroom.
