M. Bison's Shadowloo organization has taken over a village surrounding an ancient temple with the power to focus energy, the Temple of the Soul-Flyers. After slaughtering all of their guardians but one, the honorable Yuji, he takes the Temple and begins to focus his dark Psycho Power through the crystal which sits above the temple's throne. Yuji, meanwhile, gathers allies to train to break through the Shadowloo encampment and take back the Temple. But others are working their own agendas, including Akuma, the mysterious Wraith and the flippant but potent Caldy.
