Prince Planet was standard-issue Japanese animation: Prince Planet, a preteen who hailed from the pacifistic planet Radion, was a member in good standing of the Universal Peace Corps. The Galactic Council of Planets chose Prince Planet as their delegate to Earth; the Council wanted to invite Earth to join up, but couldn\'t do so until the third planet from the sun was purged of warmongers and criminals. The Prince was selected as ambassador because of his advanced intelligence and his heightened sense of right and wrong. After his spaceship crashed in the American southwest, Prince Planet was befriended by Diana Worthy, daughter of a wealthy but kindly oil tycoon. It was Diana who suggested the \"ordinary everyday name\" of Bobby as an alias for the Prince, who wanted to pass as an Earth boy when not on duty in order to avoid being pinned down as an \"alien\". Relocating in New Metropolis, Prince Planet carried on his fight against evil and crulelty, armed by a special pendant round his neck. Marked with a personalized \"P\", the pendant was powered by atomic energy from planet Radion which endowed the Prince with supernatural powers, extra body strength, and the abilety to fly. Maintaining his peacekeeping stance, Prince Planet avoided fisticuffs, preferring to use strategy and speed to conquer his foes. From time to time, the prince was spelled by two volunteer helpers, Arabian magician Ajababa and ex-champion wrestler Dan Dynamo. The chief villains were weighted down with giveaway names like Warlock the Martian and Krag of Kragmire.
