Characters: Aoi Chizuru, Fujimiya Ran/Aya, Hibino Nanami, Hidaka Ken, Hiro Yuuki, Jei, Kitaura Karen, Midorikawa Hikaru, Murase Asuka, Noae Nagi, Okiaya Ryotarou, Omi Tsukiyono, Yohji Kudou Weiss Kreuz - Description/Synopsis Weiß kreuZ is a show about four guys and how cool they are. The series follows four main good guys, eight main bad guys, and a clan of Takatories in their misadventures in taking over Japan. OK, that makes it sound more corny than it actually is. Basically, the assassins called Weiss have to try and kill the crimeboss Takatori Reiji and his cronies before he can get his dirty hands on any more power. The show's name "Weiss Kreuz" is German meaning "White Cross" and the show originated because of the band called Weiß made up of the seiyuu group Koyasu Takehito, Seki Tomokazu, Miki Shin'ichirou, and Yuuki Hiro. A few drama CDs and a contract with Project Weiss later...well, the rest is history. Fan Submission: A pure existence glittering in a filthy society…Aya Fujimiya, Ken Hidaka, Yohji Kudou, Omi Tsukiyono. They are Weiß…the white assassins who hunt the dark beasts at night. Owners of Koneko no Sumu Ie, or Kitty in the House, Flower Shop…only a cover-up operation. With Omi and his darts and arrows, Yohji with deadly wire, Ken with bugnuks equipped, and Aya with his fierce katana, this assassination group rarely fails a given mission. Persia…Manx…Barman…Helpers of Weiß, giving the missions and the information to them. Takatori, Schurient, Schwartz…the main targets of Weiß…a clan of power-hungry members of the Takatori family…a four-woman team of assassins, and a group of assassins with psychic powers…each must be eliminated. Twenty four episodes make up this series featuring the voice talents of Koyasu Takehito, Tomakazu Seki, Shin-ichiro Miki, and Yuuki Hiro…members of the band Weiß Kreuz (pronounced like “Vice Kroitz”).[ Back To Top ] [ Jul 31, 2001 14:04 ] koneko Weiß- Florists by Day, Assassins by Night. ^-^ I particularly loved this series......The characters all had a distinct personality...Aya with his coldness, Yohji being the playboy, Omi all perky and happy(though the poor kid has a traumatic past), and understanding KenKen. The guys -could- get a new wardrobe though(I really...don't like that orange turtleneck of Aya's...*shudder* ). The OAVs were -very- good in my opinion with the whole Weiß vs. Weiß theme. (Me being a big Aya fan nearly went insane in that big fight part).
I also find it interesting how they include German in this, such as the episode titles, the show's name, Schuldig(Schuldich...whatever), Kritiker, Schwartz....etc. (Though they're gonna take all that junk out when it's brought to America...Media Blasters...*cringe* ) Music? Wonderful. I bought the TV Animation Soundtrack before I even bought the series itself and from that alone I could tell it was gonna be an awesome series. The band also uses some of their own songs in some episodes like Hiro Yuuki's "Future" song in episode 10 as well as "Oh Mercy" in the same episode. For anyone who HASN'T seen this series or the OAVs and won't because they thinkthe whole florist cover-up is gay, you're really missing out. Watch it for the seiyuu voices then! We're talking Takehito Koyasu(Zechs, Hotohori,Kira Sakuya...etc), Tomokazu Seki(Kamui, Chichiri, Touji, Van...), Shinichirou Miki(Allen, Keisuke, Serge, Larva...), and Hiro Yuuki(Dios, Henri Claytor, Leon...). I mean jeez! The guys have wonderful voices! I'd also recommend their CDs(their new one is Flower of Spring). ^-^ Happy anime-viewing...now watch this series!! Aya: Shinigami demo Akuma demo nai.
