Yuri, a 15-year-old high school girl, lives happily together with her parents and her both sisters in Japan. But one day suddenly a pair of odd hands turns up out of water and tries to pull her down into the water several times. During a walk in park these hands finally manage to pull her into a puddle and takes her to a strange world. This place turns out to be Hattusa, the capital of the Hittite Kingdom in Anatolia (present Turkey) in the 14th century B.C. .

From then on, Yuri becomes more and more involved into intrigues and fights for might between the nobles there. Some of these nobles even possess magical powers. Some often try to kill her (because she plays a very important role there), other always do their best to protect her. One of her protectors is Prince Kail, the intelligent, handsome third son of the Hittite king Suppiluliuma I.
