This is an anime about baking bread. That may not sound that interesting, but if you cook, and do it well, and watch Iron Chef, this is like the Iron Chef of baking, in Japan. Its actually got solid chemistry/cooking facts in there and various tricks. The hero is mostly clueless to anything but baking, but since that's his passion and he works as an apprentice baker in Tokyo but has been learning since he was 6, he's actually very experienced and knows every trick without knowing that he knows it. The other characters are interesting and fun, sometimes surprising. The girl who works with him is expected to be the usual bandai fluff, but she's actually rather intelligent, just plays things understated most of the time. What seemed to be a weird concept actually grows on you as the season passes and while I'm fairly sure this will never be released to the USA or dubbed into english by pros, its still worth watching as a fan-sub on YouTube.
