Saiyuki Reload is the sequel to the popular anime series Gensomaden Saiyuki. The group continues their journey to the West to stop the resurrection of Gyumao - this time, tensions flare in the group as their painful histories start to collide and cause friction between them. The series picks up just before the Kami-sama arc of the Saiyuki manga, and runs until the end of Saiyuki manga volume 9.
