It's really that -glare- that make the -girls- swoon, trust me. He really wouldn't be -anything- without -the glare-. Portraying Professor Snape -smiling-? That's just not the thing. -Glaring- however, is one of the most -amazing- features that he has. That voice...can make almost every girl swoon (unless they have it for -other- hot men in Harry Potter - and trust me, Harry Potter has A LOT OF HOT MEN and guys). I'm more of a Remus Lupin, Sirius Black, James Potter, Harry Potter kind of thing (and I've viewed the fanart you've made of them. Made me swoon! A lot!), but this picture of Severus Snape is one of my most favorites. I've asked before, and I'll ask again. Could you -please- do Lucius Malfoy? And even, Tom -Marvolo- Riddle when he's young? You know, that Diary-Preserved version of him?

Snape's my favourite character too and I love to see him portrayed as an anime character. I took a look at all the HP characters you drew and they all looked terrific, but I have a special place in my heart for Snape. I really like how you drew his hair as well. I think that's the first time I've seen a picture of Snape where his hair isn't simply lying limp.

When you view these ratings please understand i'm just playing the critic ^_^ Anyways, let me explain the reasons for these scores...for originatlity I gave you a seven...why? Well, I understand that snape looks a certain way, but what makes your own personal art interesting is to put your own creative flare into him. He looks a lot like every other anime-like bad boy with a cape...put some flare into him that is different...that will make someone say "wow, yeah that's really different...I like it" Don't get me wrong I already said "wow I like that" but you don't become a true artist if you can draw like everyone else, you got to put a piece of you into your artwork...ok...sorry..i talk too much...anyways for drawing skill a solid nine, why should I give you a ten? If I give you a ten you would think it's perfect, done, there is nothing else you could do or change...but that's wrong, we all have room to grow and there is always something you can do to change or improve or add to a painting. Nine for the use of medium good work!! Again there is still room to grow, I would have liked to have seen the balance of that red...perhaps use that beautiful red very very lightly in his hair...doesn't make sense, but think...the red is the first think you look at because it is SO different from everything else, what do you REALLY want them to focus on? The emotion in his face right? His eyes and expression, so...you have to dull down the red a bit, make it blend just a little more in with the rest of the picture. (personal opinion) but It really does work...haha...anyways...overall rating, you already know why...because THERE'S STILL ROOM TO GROW!!!! Keep drawing, you are very talented, a lot talented than other artists I have dealt with....O.O....you have style, just make sure to put a little more YOU in your art...that's what makes it different from everyone else's!!!

Somehow reminds me of Anubis from Yoroiden Samurai Troopers, aka Ronin Warriors! Was this done CG, or with water colours? copic markers? he looks quite the bishounen, I would certainly glomp the man. |
