Lines are made in Illustrator and the coloring in Photoshop. Harry is pale and his t-shirt is black (symbolizing the events to come.) Ron is lighter and (being redhaired) also more colorful. He symbolizes hope and protection. The background is dark and heavy, while the front of the drawing (their legs) are a bright blue. This hopefully shows that they go from uncertainty and fear in the present towards a bright future. The moment this picture takes place is at a break in their troubles.
