(Finally Reposted) This painting was done with both watercolors and coloring pencils (Faber Castel). The most challenging was the hair and the white babboon fur. But, mostly, the hair. I was trying to get it as dark as possible, however, when I noticed it looks cool the way it does, I decided to leave it that shade. I did his hair strand by strand and by hand. Yes, it was a real bitch. And to give it more style, I surrounded this wonderful image with an off-black frame to add strength as well as elegance.
