Artist's Commentary
Illustration for chapter 20 of my AU fanfic, "Love Her and Despair," a dark future in which Yuna sacrifices herself in the Final Summoning. Thirteen years later, Auron is accompanying another summoner when he meets Rikku and Wakka, now sorely disillusioned and raising a family. Predictably latching onto the man her father would most like to strangle, "Yunie Junior" sees Auron as a surrogate grandpa. |
