Petra was
absolutely livid. Farin had stowed her away in a compartment under the capt ain's
wardrobe,
and it had been at least two hours til we could take off and let&nbs p;her out, even though no imperial, besides
th e Moff ever stepped foot on the deck of& nbsp;the ship. Seeing Petra this angry was li ke watching a baby
rancor. The tiny  ;pilot nearly threw Ferin across the ship. Sh e settled down when dasi'l offered her h is
chocolate. Mossak was only a short d istance from Felucia, close enough that if&nb sp;things went south, we
could likely escape& nbsp;there.
I was sitting in the cockpit with& nbsp;dasi'l when he shut off the hyperdrive,& nbsp;the station stil fare from being o n
our newly amplified radar. "Petra, co me up to the cockpit". A moment after Da si'l's cal , she climbed in
and sa t on my lap. "What's up"?
"The station is gonna be able to det ect us soon, lets switch it over to dead drift".
The slight smile on her face signaled the captain to get out of her& nbsp;chair, and me to tighten my safety
straps.
"Alright captain, switching to dead&n bsp;drift...". Petra reached under the control&nbs p;panel and the metal ic
clicking of&nb sp;switches sounded off one after the another.&nbs p;The lights in the cockpit shut off and  ;the engines
died. The only sound was&n bsp;the fans for the life support system  ;and they began to shudder.
"Hey Thalia"? I&n bsp;looked at the blue skinned man, as he&nbs p;put a holocom in my hand. "Take this i nto the
medbay and hail the station, one&nbs p;of us would do this but our faces are too familiar to republic&nb sp;lackeys.
That and yer probably the b est actor outta al of us". He nudg ed me with his elbow grinning like a&nbs p;mad
man.
On my way out of the&nbs p;cockpit, I passed Ferin, who was sleeping on&nbs p;the couch in the main room.
"The stati on is gonna be able to detect us soon, g et us turned around".
The slight smile on her f ace signaled the captain to get out of h er chair, and me to tighten my safety&nb sp;
straps.
"Alright captain, I've got th e escape pod aimed at the station". Petr a reached under the control panel
and&n bsp;the metal ic clicking of switches echoed one another. "that'l disable the safety  ;lock. She's ready to
separate".
"Hey Thalia"? I looked at the blue skinned man, as he put a holocom in my hand. "Take th is into the
escape pod and hail the station.&nbs p;Once you've got the data, sebd three f ast clicks then four slow on the
h olocom. We'l come a runnin'. One of&nbs p;us would do this but our faces are too familiar to republic lackeys.
That and yer probably the&nb sp;best actor outta al of us.". He  ;nudged me with his elbow grinning like a&nbs p;mad
man.
I knew he was right, but the fact that he knew it was unsettling, a question for another time though."I'l  ;
need to borrow some cloths and find some where to&nbs p;keep my lightsaber"
"What kind"?
The Escape& nbsp;Pod was large enough to fit seven or&nbs p;eight people in, it had seats and cabi nets. I sat down
and wrapped a bla nket around myself; the life support system&n bsp;wasn't heated on in here. The door < br> behind me ceased shut and Dasi'l's voice  ;come on over the intercom. "Go ahead an'&nbs p;strap in, we'l be
seperating in  ;a moment, once we're gone, use your hol ocom to get a hold of the station". Out& nbsp;the
window, I say he ship pul  ; away and shrink into the black til I& nbsp;lost sight of the thrusters. I hit the open
signal button. The only place& nbsp;near enough for the smal device to reach would be the station, or a < br> passing ship. After a few moments, an&nb sp;old man in robes gleamed up from the holocom. "This is a
restricted area, wh at is your business here"? I didn't even  ;need to act, just loose the imperial ac cent and
the chatter in my teeth a nd the fog of my breath could carry  ;me, "t-t-this Ashil Moro, m-m-my Pods b-
been d-drifting for days. P-please I-I  ;need some w-where to land"!
"How may ar e in the pod with you"? The concern in&n bsp;his voice was heavy, but I could feel something&n bsp;else,
he wasn't just an ordinary ol d man. 'He's a fool for not masking his& nbsp;presence with the force'.
"Only m-me, I& nbsp;c-can't stand the quiet any more p-p-lea se..." I pretended to choke down a sob, which
seemed to convince the Jedi fool.
"We wil send a ship to tow yo u into the hanger, hold on, help is comi ng".
Al igator tears freezing on my face,  ;I thanked him in my chattery shuddering,&nbs p;scared little girl, voice.
'what a su cker right'? The transmission closed and I&nb sp;sat in there, wearing a pair of Petra 's flight pants and
a bright blue vest that Joeci had&nbs p;offered me, looking like a classic spacer&n bsp;girl wrapped up in two thermo-
blankets.< br> The pod shuddered and the door to the&nbs p;pod swished open, letting in a wave of fresh, warm air which
was closely foll owed by five armed Republic soldiers. Bare&nb sp;foot and only armed with my heavy bla ster, I
staggered forward to their poor  ;gul ible arms. The largest of them caug ht me and I dropped my blaster,
wh ich I hadn't planed for. "Come on, lets get you to the mess hal for a hot& nbsp;meal". I nodded quickly, just
noticing& nbsp;that I was actual y rather hungry.
They&n bsp;gave me hot chocolate and a warm bow l of soup. Both seemed beyond delicious compa red to the
food on the ship. The&nb sp;cook and the man that had carried me sat next to me on either side. "That was r-
real y good...".
"It real y isn't much, just the usual republic rations and hyp othermia kit". In response to the soldiers&nb sp;
words, the cook nodded and picked up the bowl and cup before walking back in to the gal ey. "lets take
you up to the command deck to talk with Master Ukiora. He's the one that you talked with you over the
holo terminal".
"What's y-your name"?
"I'm Sergeant Ross".
I held out my arms and he picked&n bsp;me up, easily cradling me in his arms.&nb sp;Moments later, we were in the
Comman d Room with the Jedi scum. Ross set me&n bsp;down in front of Master Ukiora, I st umbled a bit, just to
add to the act.
"I'm glad to see your wel Ashil". I smiled and laughed lightly,
"T h-thank you master jedi"!
"we'l let you& nbsp;stay aboard this station with an escort til we can figure out what else to do. Do you have
any loved ones that you co uld cal "?
"N-no they w-were al stil&nb sp; on th-the ship when the Imperials attacke d us my pa told me told me to wait
in the escape pod, then he sh ot me off... I-I saw the ship when it... when it..." Tears flowed freely down
my cheeks and my false sobs shook me hard. The old jedi embraced me,
"The empire won't be& nbsp;able to hurt you again Ashil, you're saf e here".
I had to struggle to keep my&nb sp;sob from turning to a laugh at the&nb sp;horrible irony of the truth. Then the  ;old
jedi whispered almost to quiet to hear "Very nice story little sith, lets see&n bsp;what you have planed".
'SHIT, shit, shit,& nbsp;shit, shit'! I couldn't keep the supersi ze from my face. "Wha...".
"not here, no t now, I don't want to have to kil you, especial y not in front of my men. We'l talk later". He
pul ed a way smiling softly, " Sergeant Ross, could yo u show our guest to my padawan's chambers and tel
her to keep Ashil compan y".
"Yes sir".
So, with al of the color drai ned from my face and the confidence I&nb sp;had stripped away, I followed Ross to  ;
what would be my prison.
