8th Man Fan Fiction ❯ The Towering Lies ❯ Pekai ( Prologue )
[ P - Pre-Teen ]
The boy was dead.
His Face, once alive with wit and cleverness, was distant. His eyes no longer sparkled mischeviously at the sight of something that appealed to him, rather, they stared ahead, seeing nothing. In the final moments of his short life, he had thought not of his whole life, girlfriends, parents, birthdays, but what had led him here. He shouldn't have listened to them, shouldn't have come. Otherwise they would be safe. Or, at least, safer. But he couldn't mourn his regrets. He would never cry again, ever. His dying wish, if he'd had time to think of one, would be to tell his girlfriend he loved her. That he was sorry. That he should have listened. But he couldn't. Everyone knows you can never have your dying wish.
