Ah My Goddess Fan Fiction ❯ Ah! My Revolutions! ❯ Skuld Hawk Down ( Chapter 2 )

"Hey Tamiya." Said the overall wearing goddess, coming up from under the hood of a car, finishing some repairs. "I'm done with this one, can I please make a few modifications?" She asked.
The hulking and dark skinned Tamiya, who was repairing a nearby bike in their shop, looked up at her with a bemused expression.
"No no no Skuld, your "modifications" always get us in trouble, business executives don't need nitro or military grade weapons on their cars."
"Awwww"
It's been a year and a half since this shop was running. Tamiya and Otaki, after graduating and passing the Nekomi Motor Club leadership to Keiichi, who in turn gave it to Sora Asegawa, have been a little hard pressed for jobs. Although they were always doing freelancing jobs here and there to keep the income flowing, they knew they had to put down more stable roots eventually. Especially for Otaki who had recently married his sweetheart, Miss Satoko Yamono. Luckily Morisato's girlfriend's sister was a genius and a savant far beyond what they could understand. So one day, like an angel no doubt, she approached them and offered to help them set up shop in order to "keep her wits sharp" or something.
The shop grew in the year and half that it operated, giving healthy business rivalry to Chihiro Fujimi's shop, Whirlwind, where Belldandy and Keiichi worked (though Whirlwind was a motorcycle shop while they were a full mechanic garage). They built a shack in the back of the property for Skuld. The only thing Tamiya and Otaki saw were green flashing lights at night coming from within. It frightened them…
And the name of the shop was…Skuld's.
The name turned out to be a marketing master technique, considering it also had a neon sign of Skuld as well, this seemingly bought in many male customers.
Skuld now appeared to resemble a sixteen year old girl, which also helped sells.
Today it was only her and Tamiya alone, which was more than enough to meet their daily quota. She'd have to take some time later to meet her boyfriend, but he was busy with his studies as well so it all blended well for her.
"Hey, we've worked all day, we should be calling it a night soon" Tamiya said as he finished screwing something in.
"Huh, sometimes I barely notice the passage of time." She said as she put away her wrench.
"You treat this as an art, that's normal." Tamiya said as he begun making the preparations to close shop.
"Alright, I gotta get something in the back before I leave." Skuld exited the garage and headed towards her "laboratory", her private sanctum, away from Keiichi and Urd, a place where she can just build away.
Opening the door, she felt hot air hit her face and an almost blinding brightness. When her eyes straightened out she noticed she was definitely not her laboratory…or in Nekomi from that matter.
She quickly guessed, judging by the skin tone of the people, she was in Africa…a hot, humid part of Africa…and a very poor decrepit part as well. While people were giving her looks, they mostly continued their way. She was in some busy avenue, judging by the heavy people traffic and substandard cars passing through.
She needed to get somewhere private to teleport away, or perhaps a body of water, even a puddle. She began walking down the street, trying to avoid bumping into people, who were given more and more curious and hostile looks. However it would seem she would not escape the notice of this city as a jeep approached her. The occupants were men armed with AK-47 rifles.
"Oh-uh" She said as they spotted her.
"Stop the jeep." One of them said as he jumped off and walked towards Skuld. The man was bulky with a serious demeanor. His sunglasses covered any emotion from his eyes. He was dressed in a flak jacket, cargo pants and a red beret.
"You're a bit off from the embassy aren't you?" He asked seriously.
"Um…"
"Ah, come on Nadif, let's take her back and have some fun." Said a skinnier one with a crooked smile.
"Ja ja, look at that body, we don't see many girls like that out here, it's too easy." Said the driver, she can sense the dishonest lust in those two.
"Nonsense, do you guys WANT TO cause an international incident?" Nadif said. "What we should is instead take her back to the nearest embassy before she gets hurt." He said looking back at her much to the disappointed sighs of the others. This man's words obviously carried weight. "Now come on let's take you back…" He said extending his hand.
"Sorry no can do." Skuld said as she sweep kicked him, causing him to fall quickly. She then did a handstand as the one with the crooked smile began shooting at her. Human weapons do not scare, for she can move much too quickly for them to catch her. She jumped and kicked the man in the face, as she flipped in the air and kicked the driver as well, knocking them both out.
The people looked at her in wondrous curiosity, but she needed to move quickly as more jeeps headed her way with the men shouting angrily.
She began running at superhuman speed the other way, intending to get far away from the area. As he neared a corner, hands came and covered her mouth, grabbing her and being pressed against a feminine body.
"Quiet, you've already caused too much of a ruckus." Said the woman as she jumped upwards, with Skuld in hand, and landing on the roof. She released her, causing her to land painfully. She turned around, seeing who it was only to be confronted with an annoyed looking female demon. She was a pretty brunette, having her black hair loose, and wore a business like attire. Her demon markings were that of the club symbol, like casino cards. "Where the hell did you come from? I don't think you're part of the opposite unit assigned here. Which makes me think you were just taking a stroll around here…little girl when I contact your supervisor you are in deep trouble. I have been trying to get this area stabilized for Niffelheim for years, and you could have undone all of that. There are procedures and rules for warfare between us and…" As Skuld barely listened to her blabber, she was more attentive to a figure floating right behind her.
A masked man, in robes not that dissimilar to a god, with a bizarre avian mask decorated with glowing yellow feathers was charging what appeared to be a ball of light on his snake staff.
"And these aren't like the old days, you just can't go and do whatever you want…"
"Watch out!" Skuld said as she threw the demon out of harm's way as she let the blast come to her. The ball exploded with quite a force, a large flash of light, but it seems to have been somewhat subdued.
When the light cleared, Skuld was spinning something, apparently having dissipated the attack. She had also summoned a red and yellow battle robe that had replaced her overalls, which like all goddesses' attire, hugged her body quite well. She stopped the spinning, revealing her weapon, a long and fearsome looking pole axe which was modified to be part hammer and half axe.
"A goddess? I could have sworn I disabled all communications…well, no matter. I'll kill you both!"
"What the hell is wrong with everyone today! That could have killed me!"
"I don't think that's a god…or a demon" Skuld said, guessing the truth.
"You guess right little bitch! It's too bad you won't tell anyone about it!" The man said as he charged another light projectile and tossed them at him by hitting it with his staff like a baseball bat. They off course dodged it easy, the demon being able to carry her weight.
"So if you're not a god…or a demon…are you thinking what I'm thinking little goddess." The demon said.
"Yes, but I don't agree with it…we can't hold back though." Skuld said, for she, unlike her eldest sister, was beginning to feel empathy for all living things, which is why she was a candidate for first class license. Still, she wasn't in the complete naivety that her other elder sister, Belldandy was, after all…she was going for a different type of job than either of her sisters.
"You two are talking like you can actually beat me? Me? Huitzipochtli? The Sun itself!" He said his name with pride as he charged another ball of light in his hand.
"Now that I think about it…" Urd said to herself, pondering what he just said "That did feel like UV radiation." She said as she prepared to dodge another ball of light, but instead she stood still and took out her hammer. As the ball came to her, she swung at it, hitting it and throwing right back at Huitzi. Not being prepared, he was hit by his own attack causing him to be hurled backwards.
"Noble Scarlet!" She said as she summoned called upon her angel to only partially appear, giving her wings only. "We should move before he recovers!" She said as she took flight, her wings enabling her to fly faster. The demon followed behind, magically changing her clothes to traditional demon robes.
"What's your name?"
"Skuld, second class, first category, limited. Yours?"
"Eini, first class, third category, unlimited…wait…are you that Skuld? Daughter of O…"
"Yes…." She answered for her before looking back "Oh…Kami-Sama…" Skuld said as she saw Huitzi rapidly approaching them fast on his own shining wings which looked like they were made of light. She then looked at Eini, who suddenly summoned her own dark bat wings...which suggested she had a familiar similar to how Skuld had an angel. Realizing now was not the time to ask, they both sped forward heading towards the polluted ocean of Somalia.
They landed on a small cargo ship, and judging by the way the men there were armed and looked generally gruff, they definitely weren't sailors.
"Be gone!" Eini said as she summoned a large tidal wave to wash over the deck, clearing out all the pirates on board and throwing them into the water. Also automatically providing all who couldn't swim with a flotation device… she still enjoyed watching them squirm though.
"Hmmn…technology…" Skuld said surveying the ship as she landed.
"Speaking of that, I can't call for help, it's like I'm being blocked from Nidhogg." She said.
"Let me see…" Skuld summoned a small display above her wrist, hacking into any demon wavelengths in the area that connected to their computer. "Yup, someone put a jam here, they've scrambled all communication, from Heaven too…very nifty work...and…there. Communications back up." She said.
"Wow…you live up to your reputation". Eini then immediately accessed her link to Nidhogg. "Eini-san? Can you read me?" said one of the staff from Nidhogg's control room.
"Yes it's me."
"You've been off the grid for nearly twenty minutes, what is going on?" This was the voice of Hild herself, she must be in her seat in the control room.
"My apologies Hild-Sama, but I am being attacked by an unknown assailant, I need to boot my restricted abilities on Midgard." She asked.
"That's only for emergencies! Are you sure you need that?"
"Yes, I don't know what I'm dealing with, better safe than sorry right?"
"Approved, mind the collateral damage alright?" She said, giving confirmation. Eini then bent down, grabbing a knee cuff she had on her left leg and ripped it off, breaking it into little pieces. At that Skuld felt the surge of her power coming off her, she had unsealed her powers. The club symbol on her face had changed into a that of an acorn, signifying her true self.
"I'm going to go see what I can do with the ship, can you handle him?" Asked Skuld.
"He's going to see the true power of a demon first class." She said as her aura began to grow.
"I'll take that as a yes. Watch out for the radiation, even a being like you can't take heat at that level." She said before heading to the nearest door.
Huitzi had finally caught up, zooming in and stopping off the forward bow, entering a cinematic standoff with Eini.
Hutizi could sense her heightened power levels. "Damn it, this was not supposed to be this difficult" He said. He knew Eini was a powerful demon, which is why this was supposed to be a sneak attack. He wondered how Xipe was doing…he seemed to have an easier mission.
Still, he was Huitzipochtli, the Sun incarnate (although he suppose that might be a bit unbelievable). He would not be defeated by one of Niffelheim's foot soldiers (though Eini actually worked in financing and demon resources).
"What's wrong little man, realizing YOU BARKED UP THE WRONG TREE!" She said as bared her two fangs and moved her hands, summoning a large tidal wave to come from his side.
Huitzi however looked at the approaching attack with amusement. "Heh…" He said as he begun to release his aura from his body as it emanated at full angle. She could feel the heat from here, and she was generally immune to high temperatures. The wave evaporated before it him, the steam rising back to the sky, prematurely going in their next stage of the water cycle. The radiation around his body was turned off as he flew down. His stick then caught flame, changing shape into a flaming scythe.
Eini barely dodged him, even with her at full power, his attacks were fast. Eini summoned a staff to block his scythe, which it managed to do, but it cracked a bit under the pressure. He struck again and she blocked vertically, this time the staff broke, but she still had enough momentum to slide back and avoid the scythe.
Not to find herself at a disadvantage, she summoned a torrent of water from the sea to hit him, he barely dodged it as he flew upwards. As he flew up, she touched her demon forehead mark as it began to glow. A beam of water and electricity fired from it at a fairly fast speed, hitting Huitzi right on the spot. He got thrown back to quite a distance, landing several meters off the bow of the ship, but managing to gain his composure in mid air.
Huitzi stood there floating for a moment, presumably pondering what to do, when another beam came towards him. He was prepared this time, as he made a shield of radiation around him. The attack burned out and dissipated before hitting him. He stopped radiating afterwards, as it requires energy much like anyone else.
"You can't even touch me demon!"
"Oh really?" She said with a sadistic smile. Huitzi thought she had become delirious as there as really no way for her to touch him although he began hearing a peculiar sound from behind him.
He turned only to see a giant tidal wave nearly on him. "Oh crud…" He was soon enveloped in the water as he bought down into the sea.
"There's no way he's getting out of that one." She said as continued observing the seas, not trusting her own words. And of course not surprisingly to her, a column of light emerged from the sea, with the enraged Huitzi flying towards her.
However the ship began to move by itself much to her surprise, she slipped off but gained her composure as she floated. The ship was overturning itself, but Huitzi wasn't paying attention and was charging towards her at full speed.
A gigantic hand came from her left and back-slapped the masked attacker, sending him flying backwards.
"What the?" Eini said to herself as she flew away to get a better view. "Oh Hild-Sama…she did not just turn that ship into a giant robot." The ship itself was still moving, attempting to stand upright as several of its gigantic components began to rearrange itself. The forward bow began to form an intricate shape with two glowing blue lights at the center and a huge V above them. While a second hand began to form at it's right.
Its large metallic legs were soon visible as it began to slowly walk while its head was finally fully formed.
"By Hel's bosom, she did!" Skuld herself stood proudly atop of its head, smiling with her axe in hand. Eini looked at the sight with a mix of respect and fear, if this is what they were up against in the long run, they were going to lose the war…but damn.
Huitzi finally stopped spinning in mid-air and resumed his stance, even though he was wearing a mask, his rage was felt.
"Damn you, I am Huitzipochtli, the living embodiment of the sun! There is nothing more powerful around!" He said as he threw his hands in the air, forming a symbol above him. It's shape was of course that of the sun, white in color, but of a classical medieval drawing with its rays slowly spinning. Above, from the real sun however, came a ray of light and hit the symbol making its rays go faster.
"He's charging some type of attack, and it looks rather dooms-day-e." Eini said out loud, hoping Skuld could come up with something. Skuld got into a stance with her axe, flexing her arm as she held axe and then threw it. It spun quickly, dancing beautifully through the air and went right towards Huitzi. It cleaved off one of his arms effortlessly. As soon that happened the symbol disappeared and so did the beam coming from the sun.
He was screaming as he clutched his amputated limb, while the other part fell towards the ocean. For all his talk of being the sun, he was bleeding like a normal human.
The giant robot then pointed it's fist towards him and launched it as rocket. Thanks to his painful distraction he was not able to move fast enough and was swept up in the punch. It continued going off, eventually passing the horizon far beyond their sight.
"Oh by the way, I'm also a Valkyrie in training"
