(A\N: I made this songfic after listening to the song “angel” by sarah mclaughlin. This is a self insert. Please read and review, I would really love to hear what you have to say. This is a pretty powerful songfic, I almost cried during the making of this songfic and reading it. It's a very sad subject. If you don't like stuff like this, piss off…..)

Angel

Spend all your time waiting

for that second chance

For the break that will make it OK

There's always some reason

to feel not good enough

And it's hard at the end of the day

“No, it's not time, I won't let you go, not yet” cried belldandy as I could feel the life draining from myself. In a couple of more minutes I'll be dead.

I need some distraction

or a beautiful release

Memories seep from my veins

Let me be empty and weightless and maybe

I'll find some peace tonight

“Belldandy, please let me go” I said weakly. I knew I wouldn't hold out much longer.

From this dark, cold hotel room,

“Belldandy” I called to her. “I will see you again, someday” I said coughing up some blood. I had previously been stabbed by Mara. I was lying in belldandys lap. She was trying to comfort me.

So tired of the straight line,

and everywhere you turn

There's vultures and thieves at your back

The storm keeps on twisting,

you keep on building the lies

That make up for all that you lack

“do you promise, Shane?” she said to me. The rain was pouring like mad. I looked up into those blue eyes of hers and said “I will search for an eternity, if I have to. You never gave up on me. I swear that I will never give up on you. Because I love you”

It's easier to believe

“I love you too, and I always will” she said planting a kiss on me. “Belldandy” I called to her “yes?” she said almost sobbing “thank you. Ever since you came into my life you changed me. Made me into a better person, and I thank you for that. I can rest happily now, now that I know I spent my last few minutes on this earth with you. Farewell my love. We will meet again”

Belldandy. She just looked up at the sky and yelled. Urd and skuld went over to her. Urd held her. Then she broke down and cried into Urds arms.
