Chapter 7

 

　

 

While Keichii and the two goddesses were getting accustomed to their new life, up in Heaven, the third sister, Skuld, was just beginning to notice that her sisters hadn't been around in a while.

 

　

 

Granted, as the Norn of the Future, she was the one most adept at repairing the damage done in the recent Bug outbreak, but she was concerned about not seeing them in a while, and worried that something had happened to Belldandy or Urd.

 

　

 

Checking on the last time either had last logged onto Yaggdrisil, she was disturbed to find that weeks ago, Belldandy had set up to grant a wish to a mortal boy she was interested in, but after that, she disappeared from the system, with no record of the wish being granted.

 

　

 

It seemed unlikely to Skuld that a mere mortal could do anything to Belldandy, the Goddess of the Present, or her sister Urd, the Goddess of the Past. However, it was her only lead, so she set herself to travel to the last shown address for the boy, a college dorm in the town of Tokyo, Japan.

 

　

 

Transporting through a puddle of water in the alley behind the building, she goes to the front door and knocks.

 

　

 

When the door opens, she's a little perturbed to be confronted by a tall, spikey-haired man.

 

　

 

Refusing to show intimidation, she grits her courage and states, "I'm looking for Keichii Morisato, is he in?"

 

　

 

His response to her question tells her she's on the right track, although it worries her some as he says,"Man, what is it with him nowadays, he already has two babes living with him, and now another girl is looking for him."

 

　

 

Giving her an apologetic smile, he tells her, "I'm sorry little girl, he doesn't live here anymore. He moved out weeks ago."

 

　

 

Taking in that unwelcome information, she asks him, "Are the girls living with him named Belldandy and Urd?"

 

　

 

When he answers in the affirmative, she asks for Keichii's new address, and, on receiving it, goes back to the puddle in the alley and transports to the largest body of water at that location.

 

　

 

She's embarrassed to realize that she's appeared in front of a naked boy.

 

　

 

Grateful that he's not looking at her, she's about to leave when she hears the voices of her sisters, and looks up to see them, naked, and coming towards the pool.

 

　

 

Going from feeling relieved that she's found them, she instantly assumes the worst about the boy under her, and, screaming, "Pervert!", grabbed her debugging hammer.

 

　

 

Ignoring the yells from her sisters, she smashed him in the head, feeling satisfaction in saving her sisters from some some BOY. Not satisfied with hitting him once, she was winding up to do it again, when she was hit with both a lightning bolt and ball of manna. Her last thought before unconciousness claimed her, was, "Why did they do that?"

 

　

 

Returning to awareness was a gradual process, wherein she heard her sisters talking, but wasn't quite awake enough to be curious as to what they were talking about.

 

　

 

"How is she?" she heard Urd say.

 

　

 

"She'll be fine, we both hit her only hard enough to knock her unconcious for a little while. In fact, she should be waking up any time now. It's Keichii I'm worried about." replied Belldandy.

 

　

 

"How so?", Urd asked, then with more concern, "You were able to heal him weren't you?"

 

　

 

Belldandy answered, "Yes, but it was a near thing. He'd sucked in a breath of water before we were able to get him out of the pool, and I had to heal a cracked skull as well as the associated concussion. If you hadn't leant me some of your strength, he would be days in recovering. As it is, he just woke up, and will be with us soon to decide what to do with Skuld."

 

　

 

Hearing this last remark was enough to cut right through her haze, and jerked Skuld directly into full wakefulness.

 

　

 

Seeing her eyes open, both her sisters crowded around her with expressions of releif, exclaiming over each other how glad they were she was alright.

 

　

 

Feeling the residual ache in her body, she gave them both a hurt look and said, "Why did you attack me like that?"

 

　

 

The question silenced her sisters, but she was surprised to get an angry look from them each of them when Belldandy answered her,

 

　

 

"Do you know how close you came to killing the boy that you hit? One more blow from your hammer like the one you had just given him and nothing short of direct intervention from Father would have saved him. As it is, Urd and I together barely kept him alive long enough for a healing spell to take hold."

 

　

 

Skuld didn't understand what the problem was, she was protecting her sisters from a pervert boy, and a mortal one at that.

 

　

 

Skuld replied, "I was protecting you from a Pervert."

 

　

 

On hearing that reply, Belldandy just had to say,"But he wasn't doing anything to hurt us."

 

　

 

Not giving an inch, Skuld retorted, "He was there where he could see you naked. Besides, he's only a mortal, its not as if I hurt anyone who deserved your concern."

 

　

 

From the stricken looks on her sisters' faces, she got the feeling that maybe she shouldn't have said that last out loud.

 

　

 

When she heard a male voice from behind her, she was sure of it.

 

　

 

"You know, I wasn't going to do anything to you for your attack on me, as your sisters told me how protective you are of them, and I can understand how things must have looked. But your statement against mortals makes me think you are just a jealous little girl who doesn't want to share your sister's attention. I think it's time you found out what its like to live as one, as well as pay you back for that pervert crack."

 

　

 

After making this alarming statement, he turned to her sisters and asked Belldandy, "Can you strip her of her Goddesshood and make her Mortal?"

 

　

 

It was with relief that she heard her reply, "No, its impossible for anyone but Father to do that."

 

　

 

Her relief was short-lived when he went on to ask, "Well then, could you supress her powers, so that she has no more power than a normal mortal girl, and no more protection from whatever happens in life than any other girl?"

 

　

 

Reluctantly Belldandy answered, "Yes, I can do that, as it's a punishment sometimes levied on us, although never to complete supression. Why do you want to do that?"

 

　

 

The boy, whose name she remembered was Keichii, told her, "I'll tell you after it's done. Also, make sure that only I can restore her."

 

　

 

Before Skuld could think of trying to escape from her position, her sister had placed a binding on her that held her immobile and silent.

 

　

 

Once that was done, Belldandy and Urd left the room, leaving her alone with the boy she had injured. He didn't say anything to her, but the way he studied her as he walked around her was making her extremly nervous.

 

　

 

It was almost with relief that she saw her sisters come back into the room, even though she knew what that portended.

 

　

 

Sure enough, Belldandy held a bracelet out to Keichii, telling him, "This will seal her powers away, and if you lock it around her wrist, only you can take it off."

 

　

 

This entire episode was scaring Skuld. She didn't understand how this boy could be making her sisters, especially Belldandy, a Goddess First Class, Unlimited, do this to her.

 

　

 

Unfortunatley, he was doing it, as was proven when he snapped the bracelet on her wrist. The first thing that she noticed was the loss of her connection to Yaggdrisil. The next thing was, her senses seemed to dim slightly. Colors weren't as bright, sound was muffled, and it felt as if her nose was deadend.

 

　

 

While she was preoccupied with her senses, Keichii turned to Belldandy and told her, "Ok, you can release her now."

 

　

 

Feeling better for being able to move again, Skuld just had to ask him. "How can you make my sisters obey you like this?"

 

　

 

He answered her, and the thought of a wish giving a mortal the power to make a Goddess his willing, totally loyal lover, scared her more than everything else that had happened to her today.

 

　

 

She just had to know, so, screwing up her courage, went on to ask, "Why didn't you do that to me?"

 

　

 

Of all the answers he could have given, "I wasn't in my right mind when I made and used that wish, and hopefully I'll never use that power ever again. Besides, I'm pretty sure Urd and Belldandy did what they did because of their love for me, and not from any compulsion," was not it.

 

　

 

This stunned her so much that she could only squeak out faintly, "Well then what are you going to do to me?"

 

　

 

"Well, you are so worried about perverts, I'm going to show how to be a real pervert. But first, you need to be punished for your attack on me."

 

　

 

Nothing he'd just said was calculated to make he feel at ease, and when he told Belldandy and Urd to each grab one of her hands and to pull her arms away from her body and not let her go, she was sure she was in trouble.

 

　

 

She was sure of it when, after excusing himself and walking away, he came back holding a large, sharp-looking carving knife.

 

　

 

She heard Belldandy ask in concern, "You're not going to do anything to her with that are you?"

 

　

 

His answer both relieved and frightened her, for he said, "No, the only way she'll get cut is if she wriggles around too much when I use this knife to cut off her clothes."

 

　

 

Facing her directly, he continues, "You were so concerned about me seeing your sisters naked, I thought I would show you how it feels. It would be best if you held very still now, as Belldandy only uses the very sharpest of knives, and I don't think you want to jog my arm while this blade is close to your flesh."

 

　

 

Suiting action to words, he grabs her collar, pulls her clothes outward, and brings the knife too close to her vulnerable neck for her liking.

 

　

 

Gazing fearfully at the knife, but almost more afraid of what's coming, as well as very aware of the feel of Keichiis' hand touching her flesh just above her breasts, she tries to appeal to her sisters. "Please, you can't let him do this."

 

　

 

Although looking troubled, neither sister lets her go. Belldandy does look at the boy and say, "Keichii?"

 

　

 

Still looking at Skuld, he reassures her sisters with, "Don't worry, I'm not going to do anything worse physically to her than a hard spanking, but she is going to learn that she can't get away with judging others, and that she needs to think before doing things. Lord knows I certainly learned that."

 

　

 

Continuing his actions, the boy slips the tip of the blade, thankfuly sharp edge out, into her exposed cleavage, and pulls it down.
