HI... I meant to work on my other fandoms, but with all things related to my work, my mind and imagination take over and I write (or Draw) whatever it is in me to write or draw. I do not dictate to my creativity, it dictates to me. I hope to hear what you all think of this, my newest creative effort.

Ai No Shinjitsu

Chapter 2:

Welcome Home

Strands of platinum whipped around in the dark breeze as Iason stood on the balcony of his penthouse. Iason allowed his gaze to drift back inside where Riki and Chi stood looking around the lush accommodations. Iason sighed and went back inside. The place was immaculate. He looked at the calendar and saw that they had been 'dead' for at least a year. He dragged a white-gloved finger over his desk and it came away without a smudge. “Raoul” The name was whispered and Riki looked up before he went back to riffling through their supply of food and selecting a tin of cold pudding. Chi had called it Ice Cream, a favorite of a place called Earth.

Riki had not been able to get the full story of Chi's Reilly, but he would content himself to look at her for now. Iason had been jealous of his pet's preoccupation with the Princess, but he could not help but be grateful to her. Iason went to his computer and turned it on, he gasped when it came on as if it had been finely tuned. “Katze,” Riki said and looked over his shoulder. “Eat some of this.” Riki said and took the spoon from his own mouth to reload it before pressing it against Iason's lips. Iason had resisted the curiosity to taste the strange elven/earthling food thus far, but he could not resist the pull of Riki. He opened his mouth and gasped. The stuff was exceedingly cold, and sweet. Riki grinned before he pushed another spoon full past Iason's sensual lips.

“You like it?” Chi said from across the room smiling at Iason. Iason took in her appearance and gasped. The Princess had changed. No longer was her skin the pale lavender of deeply colored frozen skin. Instead she was a warm milk chocolate color and her hair fell in soft ripples down her back. “The more you two interact,” Chi said and smiled. “The more I am reminded of how it is to be warm. How it is to control and use my powers, not to be consumed by them. I froze myself to avoid the painful emotions that I thought would surely end my life. But you have shown me so much...” Chi paused and her small white kitten licked the tears from her smooth cheeks and Iason frowned. She looked so unbelievably young.

“Why do you seek revenge against Jupiter?” Iason asked as he read the recent newspaper headlines and began to browse some of the articles. Chi had been right Amoi, and especially Tanagura, was in chaos.

“ I do not exactly seek revenge against Jupiter, but the person who helped to create her.” Chi answered and brought a crystal glass to her lips and drank water with an undue amount of relish. “Do you know how long it has been since I have been able to drink water? Just the touch of my hand would cause it to freeze instantly.” Chi said and drained the glass licking the moisture left behind on her lips.

“What did this Kalen do that would cause you to want Revenge?” Iason said and clicked a few more buttons on his computer. Riki dropped into a chair and gazed back and forth between his Blondie and the Princess. “It had something to do with your Reilly.” Iason stated what he perceived as fact. Chi lowered her head and Riki had a moment to wonder at the tears that fell from her eyes. She cried a lot, he thought. It must be a great deal of pain that this one person caused. But how much pain was enough to make her turn her powers inward and remain frozen for such a long time?

Before Chi could form an answer the door of the penthouse slid open. “I... Iason!” Iason, Riki and Chi looked up with varying degrees of surprise, curiosity and pleasure. Wavy golden hair flowed over blond shoulders and framed an artfully beautiful face. “You died, Katze saw the place go up with you inside.” Raoul walked forward and placed his hands on Iason's shoulders and looked up at the slightly taller man. He stared long into the face of his best friend before tearing his gaze away to stare at Riki who waved a hand casually before going back to his ice cream.

Iason tried to speak but the door opened again and Riki stood to his feet grinning at the enraged red head that stomped thorough the door ready to kill the intruders. Katze was speechless as he stared at his two dear friends and dropped his laser gun from fingers numbed by shock. “The computer... someone was in here... You are dead...” Katze said and backed away. He paused when he noted the stranger smiling at him. Chi stood and placed a warm hand to his cheek. “Who are you?”

“Gentlemen,” Chi said with a gentle tug on Katze's arm. She led him to a plush chair just as Iason had sat Raoul down. “I saw your friends in trouble and I retrieved them.” She said in a simple manner as if it was an everyday occurrence. “The DNA used to create you all came from my home planet. It is called Earth. Technology used to create the Ai Jupiter came from a fellow elf. I will need your help to control her and cease the foolish cruelties she has inflicted upon you all.”

“Cruelties?” Iason and Raoul said in unison earning them a sad smile from Chi.

“This society is based on looks and abilities.” Chi said looking out to the balcony and beyond to the spectacular lights of Tanagura. “Classes and privileges given and revoked at whim. A pet, a mongrel and a Blondie are all the same but she has you all believing differently. You are all human. If a pet was given an education in other than carnal pleasures you would be surprised at what he or she could accomplish. They know nothing but how to please themselves and others. Mongrels are not given a choice but to steal in order to survive. Blondie's are given the best and so they behave with more elegance than any other class on this world.” Chi's impassioned speech caused Iason and Raoul to frown. “The only reasons Blondie's are the top of the food chain, so to speak, is because they are the exact opposite of my Reilly.”

“This world is in enough of an upheaval as it is.” Raoul said getting to his feet. “Once it is made known that Iason Mink has returned some semblance of normalcy will return. Our system has worked for centuries and it will not crumble just because you do not like it.”

“But crumble it has, and because of the unfair rules that blocked the love of this Blondie,” Chi placed a hand on Iason. “And this mongrel.” Her lips curled in displeasure as she looked at Riki hating to call him by a name that clearly marked him as inferior.

“Love?” Raoul questioned and looked at Iason remembering plainly a game of billiards from some time ago. “Would you laugh,” Iason had said. “If I told you that I loved Riki?” Raoul had not wanted to admit it then and he sure as hell would fight to keep from admitting it now. This mongrel did not deserve the love of the most beautiful man on Amoi. “I could have altered his mind then and I can and will do so now. Jupiter would relish it.” Raoul said looking at Iason.

“Could you really destroy something so beautiful.” Chi asked clutching Raoul's arm. “You...” She turned to Katze with imploring eyes. “You have said nothing.”

“Who... What are you?” Katze said as he looked at the ears that had so fascinated Riki.

“I am Chi, winter child of the water clan of a planet called Earth.” Chi said with a gentle smile. “Reilly was a earthling prince of a land called Ireland. We fell madly in love. He and I were intimate, but he swore he would wed me. My father consented. My dearest friend Kalen did not agree with the arrangements. She felt that humans and elves should not intermarry. She waged a war on his clan and captured him. She kept him a prisoner for many years. By the time I managed to rescue him, all I could do was nurse him through the last years of his mortal life. My heart broke and I froze myself. I did not want to feel that pain ever again. Then I saw these two and I vowed that never again would Kalen hurt others as she had hurt me. Class separation should not get in the way of real love. I have to put a stop to it. And I will, with or without you.” Chi said and gave Raoul a determined scowl.

“Who is Kalen?” Katze asked and moved over to Iason's computer after clicking a few buttons he pulled all he cold on the events of the past year. Iason looked over his shoulder with some interest. “This is the man who invented Jupiter when this planet was Terra-formed.” Katze held up a large Holo disc and showed the room at large the video of a tall man with sandy colored hair and the prototype of Jupiter. She stood beside him in her large cape and helmet; a series of light and metal in a perfect female form. “Besides even if he did have the help of this Kalen, this was done centuries ago, he and any workers besides are dead.”

“If you knew how old I am you would not make such asinine statements.” Chi ground out. “Elves are extraordinary creatures our aging is beyond your comprehension. I am sure that an AI unit, any unit is free thinking as you would like to believe. I have my suspicions that this world is run by Kalen. Even if it were not, her ideals are outdated and this world should know freedom from her prejudiced tyranny. Will you aid me?”

If it meant that his Mongrel would be free... Iason sighed before he gave Chi a single nod. Riki shrugged, he had always like bucking the system, and this could be fun. Raoul looked at Iason, he was so relieved to see he best friend that he would have ripped Jupiter's ivory tower down with his bare hands if he thought it would make him happy. Raoul nodded.

“Jupiter is an Artificial Intelligence Unit. I am a hacker, I always have been.” Katze said with a smirk. “It's what keeps me in trouble.” Katze gave a lopsided grin at Iason before he agreed to help the Princess. Chi literally collapsed with relief into the chair she had vacated during her speech.

Iason turned off his computer and stood. “The details can indeed wait until tomorrow. I find myself exhausted and in desperate need of rest.”

Katze nodded and followed Raoul to the door of the large room. They turned back to say their farewells for the night and caught Chi staring at Iason with a frown.

Chi looked from Iason to Riki and tried to gage the heated looks passing between them. “You should have received full rest in my regrowth chambers and be perfect alertness now.” She said with a smirk knowing full well the 'rest' Iason wanted. “If you are so abominably tired, I will retreat for now and leave you to your 'recreational rehabilitation' I will see you anon.” Chi said and vanished. Katze and Raoul looked around the room before they left in much the same shock that they had entered with.

“Keep this quiet for now. I do not want any one to know I have returned as of yet. I will never know peace otherwise.” Iason said and walked over and Pulled Riki to his feet. Raoul scowled as Iason dipped his head and kissed the mongrel before the door had shut completely leaving them in solitude.

“Never thought I would be working with you again. ”Raoul said to Katze who raised a well sculpted red brow before he smirked and headed down the hall. “Where are you going?”

“To get a welcome home gift for Iason and Riki,” Katze said before he was shut behind the lift doors and taken to the streets of the beautiful city that was built on cruelty and lies.

I do in fact have something coming for my Pet shop/FAKE series. Please have patience with me. Oh and I do not own Ai No Kusabi or any of it's intriguing characters. There will be crossovers in the future, the Anime/Manga will surprise you but it will make sense.
