Problems that he still was trying to get on the top of. It didn't help that Sir Raoul continued to want him to call with daily reports on what his schedule and duties for the day would be. Not even Iason demanded him to do that. You would think that with Iason back at the helm the other Blondie would go away but he didn't. Hell if anything the damn Elite was getting more demanding.
He was use to the dominating and arrogant personalities of Tanagura Elites, a trait that was doubled in the Blonds, the elite amongst the elite. The beings that ruled Amoi and all the protected planets under Amoi control. But out of all the Blonds there were seven that were the prime pillars of Amoi. Iason Mink bring the supreme pillar of the seven. The one that held everything up.
Without Iason the other pillars would undoubtedly be able to hold up the foundation of the Amoi civilization but without their main support but it would only be a matter of time that it all came crashing down. To put it in much more simpler terms it would be like if someone, that someone being Amoi, were lost in the desert with only a flask, Iason, which was filled with water. That flask would only sustain that thirsty man for a day, if he was lucky, before he succumbed to the scorching heat. Iason Mink wasn't just some figure head; he was someone that they all needed to survive.
This was probably why Jupiter almost fried the city when she felt Iason s life force nearly flicker out. And Riki?...Maybe she knew that the Mongrel was Iason s water . But then again Iason was more then just a Blondie. With his history with Iason he’d seen and experienced things that Iason did that under the circumstances any other Blondie would have acted differently, predictably. Iason thought differently then they did, and it wasn't just from what happen to him and how he became the Black Market boss or Iason taking Riki as his pet that made him think that. He has been in Iason’s service for almost thirteen years. He was chosen at age eleven to become his Furniture, which he stayed as such for five years before getting caught hacking into the system in Eos. And seven, close to eight, in the Black Market. There s a lot you learn from someone in thirteen years and he had a theory on why Iason was Jupiter s favored son.
Katze chuckled at his idiotic thoughts. Whatever the A.I. thought he was just happy that she brought Iason and Riki back to them. What he should be thinking about now was what he had to do to get Sir Raoul off his back. Hell in those daily reports he had to even log the time he took to shower. If there were any black spots in the time lines sure enough his ass would get a call from the towering Blondie. How did one go about asking a Blondie to fuck off politely anyway?
Before, when Sir Am first stepped in to take over while Iason was in the healing chambers, it didn't bother in him the least to give him an account of every little move he made. But these last two months he had begun to rebel against reporting his every move to the Blondie.
Sending his schedule in the morning then not going to the places that were on the list or going to places and not putting it on the list. Faking the time lines on how long he d been somewhere.
He wasn't sure why. Maybe because in a couple months he would be turning the ripe old age of twenty-five, not that anyone knew that. Everyone believed he was much older then that, which he took no insult to. It s not that he looked older in appearance but it s the look he presented that made him look older. That and one glance at the scar on his face and people tend to not want to look too closely.
But even that couldn't be it because he always made sure Iason was made aware of every move and change he made and the why’s of it. Just thinking of doing what he was doing to Sir Am to Iason sent shivers of fear down his slim frame. But he couldn't deny the change he was experiencing. The restlessness he sensed in him, the wildness in the pit of his stomach that wanted free or maybe he d been hanging around Riki too long and his attitude was rubbing off on him.
Katze was jerked out his thoughts as the door to his office was kicked in. He quickly leaped to his feet and got his body into a defensive fighting stance but quickly straighten him self when he got a full view of who had dared to barge into his office.
Tanagura androids. High level androids. To anyone else they wouldn't see anything special about them. Unlike their Elite brethren in Eos they weren't tall or beautiful; they were average, plain in looks and in height. They could come and go any were they wanted without being noticed because there was nothing about them that was worth noticing. It was only because of whom he was and what he did that he knew immediately who they were. And getting a visit from them was not something you would want.
The Hounds of Amoi. Katze knew enough about them to be very frighten. Any threatening movement and before he could blink they would be holding his arms from across the room detached from his body.
“Overseer of the Black Market, step away from the communicator on your desk and back up to the wall.”
Katze didn't hesitate or argue. Holding his hands, palms up, away from his body he slowly did as he was told. Trembling he watched as four more Hounds entered but it was who entered last that damn near made him piss his pants in fear.
“Katze ex-Furniture and Overseer of the Amoi Black Market. I am here because of your involvement in the attempted assassination of Iason Mink. Prepare yourself for you have been judged.”
At that moment Katze knew he was dead. No one, not even Iason or the overbearing Sir Am could save him.
It took just ten days to completely heal the ghastly and vast damage done to Iason's body. As for Riki... Till this day he still had no clue where he had been taken. He still remembered clearly the masked sexless figures wearing Tanagura Syndicate uniforms informing him that the pet Riki the Black was to be released into their custody by order of Jupiter. The only information they were allowed to disclose was that Riki was to be revived. Not even when he teamed up with Katze could they locate the Mongrel.
Katze...Damn ex-Furniture failed to report to him yesterday and when he contacted those barely coherent employees of his they had no clue as to where their boss was. When he got his hands on him he'd make it very clear to the flame haired ex-Furniture that he was to never take off without speaking to him first. That damn Iason gave him too much freedom. With someone like Katze one needed to keep a firm grasp on him at all times.
Maybe it was time to discuss the possibility of switching ownership of Katze over to him with Iason. After all Iason had his hands full as it were with Riki. When he went to pick Iason up for their night out he was shocked by the noise that came from the mater suite. There were rumors, of course, that Iason had been having sexual intercourse with the Mongrel and Iason had also said he was in love with him. But it was just speculation, no one for sure knew if it was true or not. Now he knew it was. Riki was very...expressive in his passion...and in how he wanted Iason to appease him.
I wonder what kind of noise Katze would make. Raoul shocked him self with that unexpected thought but didn't stop him self from that line of thought. He had always thought Katze was a lovely man, still did, even with the hideous scar. Tall, slender with hair just like a Ruby's and his golden eyes flashed with knowledge and barely concealed defiance. He would have been an excellent pet if he had not been modified.
Raoul froze as another thought occurred to him. All though Katze was modified he could still be sexually active. Castrates were recorded to be able to feel phantom climaxes even though they did not have the necessary parts and he could still be penetrated. He could very well be with a lover right now while he was stuck here and couldn't do anything to stop him. Katze moaning on his hands and knees as another kneeled behind him, pleasuring him, allowing someone else touch his body...someone that wasn't him.
"Raoul?"
Raoul blinded his eyes to see Iason standing before him. He had been so lost in his thoughts that he never noticed Iason approach.
"Are you alright, my friend?"
"Forgive me Iason I must have been deeply submerged in my thoughts for you to have caught me unaware." Raoul was still reeling from the last image that his mind conjured up before he had been drawn away from them. Images that he filed away to review later along with the rage of some of those images caused.
"Thinking about body parts again, my friend?" Iason said with an amused little smile.
"Yes actually." But in a way that you would never think I would be thinking Raoul thought.
"Ummm...never fails to amuse me how you can only think about bodies."
"Well I am a Biotechnologist so one would assume that, that is what I would be thinking about."
"You do have expertise in other areas other then that. Don't you ever get bored?"
"Never, unlike someone I know," Raoul smiled at Iason. "I find that I am much more proficient staying in one area and although I am quite capable of undertake projects in my other fields. I find that don't want to."
Iason nodded in understanding. "You do have a tedious job so it is understandable but also very stressful. To my knowledge you no longer have any pets to enjoy, relieving your mind from such a tiresome occupation."
Raoul found the opening he had hoped for. "As to that...I was wondering if we could come to an agreement on someone you claim ownership on. I understand that you might not turn him over to me completely but maybe if we could...share, I guess you could say. Come to some sort of split custody maybe."
While Iason's facial expression did not change, Raoul could sense the change. Iason's body language became glacier to the point that Raoul wanted to test to see if the room temperature dropped.
"And who might this someone be?"
Raoul automatically realized his mistake. "I want Katze." Raoul hadn't meant to be so blunt but considering who Iason thought he was talking about had to be corrected immediately. He and Iason might be the closest of friends but he held no illusions that Iason wouldn't physically do him considerable harm if he thought he posed a threat to taking Riki from him. While Iason performance as their leader had not in anyway diminish, he was in fact more powerful and proficient in his duties then the ever had been since the incident, he had changed.
Maybe it was because of their close friendship that he and he alone noticed the change or maybe others have but were wise to keep it only to them selves. But the fact was that Iason had changed. Where before Iason shrouded everyone in a smoke screen of the true nature of his and Riki's relationship and gracefully evading inquires, he no longer did any of that.
There were few who would dare to come up to Iason and those who did were given the truth. Riki was his, body and soul. Before it was the faint hickeys that covered Riki's body that showed everyone Iason's mark of ownership but he in the past he never confirmed nor denied that he was in fact having sex with Riki. Now he thought nothing of marking Riki in places that everyone could see more clearly and thought nothing of snapping his razor sharp teeth at anyone suicidal into thinking to challenge him and his claim on the Mongrel.
"Katze?"
Raoul gave a mental sigh of relief when he heard the amusement back in Iason's voice. "Yes Katze. I have become...intrigued by him and the workings of his mind."
"Umm...Yes I had noticed your continued involvement in the Black Market. It was understandable when I was...indisposed, but when you did not step down I had to wonder if you were trying establish a higher amount of authority to try and take over a part of my territory."
Raoul's eyes widened. "No Iason I would never do such a thing. Not to you."
"Don't worry, my friend, I noticed at once that your interest seem to only revolve only around my Overseer and his...assists... then the actual profits that the Market makes."
Raoul wasn't sure why but the amusement Iason was showing made him uncomfortable and that alone irritated him. "I fail to see the amusement in this."
Iason gave a low chuckle. "So I see."
"Iason-"
"I believe that this discussion can be held off until a later date, my friend. This is not the place that we should be speaking of this. Although every where else it would be proper to be fashionably late today and this place is not one of those times. Come."
Raoul followed Iason to the elevators that would take them to the private conference room reserved only for the seven, of the thirteen, most powerful Blonds. At the peek of Jupiter Tower was the place that was their Mother's sanctuary where only one Blondie was allowed to enter. Iason Mink.
They were almost to their stop before Raoul was compelled to ask. "So...?"
Iason chuckled again. "So?"
Raoul heaved a sigh. The one thing he hated is when Iason played his little games with him. "I understand that now is not the time or place to be bringing this up. But I would appreciate at least a straight answer on wither or not an understanding can be reached."
"Umm...You are correct. Now is neither the time nor the place to be speaking of this. But we may be able come to some sort of agreement. I have been thinking about this for some time now and in that time I have come up with something...but it all will depend on your perspective on what I have in mind."
Raoul was startled. "Just when exactly did you think of this?"
"Four months ago," Iason said with a sly little smile.
Four months ago...That would mean that Iason noticed his improper fascination with his ex- Furniture from the very beginning. "Have I ever told you how irritating I find your ability to seemingly know everything that goes around?"
Iason elegantly nodded his head. "You may have mentioned it a time or two."
"Yes well now is one of those times," Raoul said irritably.
"I'm sure you re not the only one."
"Yes I am sure." Raoul said sourly as the elevator doors opened. None descriptive androids were waiting for them, escorting them to the closed double doors that lead to the conference room. Raoul had always found the carvings on those doors to be almost hypnotizing in its savage, and to some, frightening beauty. Huge double doors, twice the size of the normal, cream in color that shined to a glossy finish. Winged beasts frozen in mid hunt with snarling fangs and ferocious expressions, claws extended and ready to swipe on the human prey cowering under them. With those beasts were other forms, human male and females, with the same ferociousness smiling enticingly as they lead, what had to be their enemies, to spike filled pits and other such means of death.
"Did you ever wonder why Jupiter would have such a thing?" Raoul asked Iason quietly.
"I think it s to intimidate those that enter don t you think?"
Raoul turned and sighed. "Hello Aisha."
"Good evening Raoul nice to see you out of your lab coat. Sir Iason."
"Aisha," Iason said coolly.
"Actually this carving is roughly around six hundred years old, portraying the civilization that once inhabited this world. A time before our creator was born. One can only assume that the person or persons that carved this was one of the savages portrayed in this master piece."
Raoul smiled at the new voice. "Good to see you Mikhale," Raoul said warmly. After the Blondie had helped him locate Iason on that horrendous day he found that he quite liked the Elite.
"And why would you say that?" Iason asked indifferently.
"Just by looking at the carving you can see that outsiders were killed, some quickly and some painfully, which one could only conclude that the artist could only be one of their own."
"And how would you know how old this is?" Aisha asked picking an imaginary piece of lint of his shoulder making Raoul want to roll his eyes. If Aisha had been the rumored Elite having sex with his pet he was sure no one would have caused such a huge up roar like they did with Iason. Aisha Rosen the only elite he knew that loved trouble. Some of the stunts the Blondie pulled use to leave them all shaking their heads in amazement that the Blondie hadn't killed himself. It was funny considering he was he head of Health and Safety Department of Eos.
"I submitted a requested to Jupiter asking if I could take a sample."
Raoul stared at the Blondie in disbelief and noticed Aisha was doing the same. Only Iason showed no reaction.
"That was very bold of you to do." Raoul said.
"Bold? I'm amazed Jupiter didn't zap you were you stood when you asked her." Aisha snickered.
"Why would she?"
"You said it yourself. That thing is almost a thousand years old. How would you feel if I asked you if I could chop up something priceless like that just to put it under some microscope?"
"The last time I was here Jupiter noticed my interest where upon I was given permission to take a few shavings of the piece."
"Why?"
Mikhale looked at Aisha. "I was curious."
Aisha laughed. "You dared probable dismemberment over mere curiosity? The service androids I've seen touch those doors in a seemingly inappropriate manner are carted off never to be seen again."
"She never gave me the impression that I was over stepping any sort of boundaries of any kind."
"Well I say you’re very lucky. On to a different subject how is that pet of yours? I was disappointed when you canceled the performance between my high bred and him. I've heard great things about your pet so I was looking forward to tonight."
"Lilly needed to be disciplined so all performances with him have been put off till a later date." Mikhale said stiffly.
"Really? From the out standing reviews I heard and from the elites, that were fortunate enough to see your pet perform, they all told me that your little pet was the poster child, the pet that other elites point to, to their own pets on how a pet should behave, in essence the perfect pet in face, form and manner."
"Lilly is a very well behaved but like all pets he has rules that he needs to follow. Rules that I still need to reinforce." Mikhale said coldly.
Raoul turned to the strangely silent Iason and noticed that Iason had a peculiar look in his eyes. As if he had Sir Mikhale under a microscope himself. Raoul turned back to Mikhale wondering what Iason saw to get that look in his eye. The high ranking Blondie, Sir Mikhale Tain, six foot six inches tall, long straight blond hair a tad shade darker then Iason's. Beautiful, as they all were, with extraordinary lovely aqua colored eyes. But other then the elegance of his clothing and baring there was nothing that he could see that would bring about the intense look that Iason was giving him.
"Iason?"
Iason ignored Raoul as he continued to watch Aisha batter Mikhale on his pet and when they could set up another performance. Interesting Iason thought. Very interesting indeed.
"Your Excellency Iason Mink?"
All four Blonds turned to the monotone of the small pale android dressed in a white body suit. "Please enter Your Excellency. While it is not yet time for Jupiter to welcome you and while there are three more that have yet to arrive, please come in and comfort yourself. I would be disrespectful of me if I allow one such as you to stand out here to wait." The android said in a low bow.
"Yes one would want to stand and wait out here with the rest of us." Aisha said with humor winking at Raoul.
The pale android looked at Aisha for a moment. "I have been informed that you may wait inside as well." Turning the android motioned to two other identical androids that appeared seemingly out of no where to open the heavy doors.
"Royalty first," Aisha said bowing to Iason.
"That wicked attitude of yours Aisha will get you into trouble one of these days," Raoul muttered as he followed behind Iason.
"Ahh but what is life without a little trouble?" Aisha chuckled.
"Less stressful is what it is." Mikhale softly said.
Iason turned his head slightly to Mikhale looking at him with a small secret smile.
Raoul took one last look at the carvings as the door was being opened. Maybe he would ask Mikhale if he knew any other history on the thing. The story looked to be more then a civilization of savages killing their enemies, it looked like a fight for survival. While still fierce you could see that many were also on the run, fleeing the monsters they were fighting. This made him wonder. If this carving was the last thing from the people that use to inhabit this planet how did they die? Where did they go and why did they disappear? And most importantly what happen to the monsters that were at war with them?

~~***Forever Caged***~~
Katze sighed, leaning back in his cushioned desk chair are he rubbed his tired aching eyes. He had been staring at his computer monitors for thirteen hours straight without a break. Although Iason had only been out of commission for three weeks, two in the healing chambers and another for physical therapy to make sure all was in working order, those three weeks without him caused all sorts of problems and back ups.Problems that he still was trying to get on the top of. It didn't help that Sir Raoul continued to want him to call with daily reports on what his schedule and duties for the day would be. Not even Iason demanded him to do that. Raoul waited in the lobby of Jupiter Tower. He, Iason and the five other top Blonds had been finally summoned by Jupiter in regards to the incident at Dana Bahn. Raoul was surprised that the A.I. took this long to call upon them. Five months had already passed since he and Sir Mikhale Tain, who had been present when the emergence call came from Katze, lead rescue teams to the smoldering site.It took just ten days to completely heal the ghastly and vast damage done to Iason's body.
