~~**Forever Caged**~~

Raoul shouted at the lab assistants as he walked around the laboratory. While his formidable mind worked on lab results his thoughts were on the conversation he and Iason had yesterday when he had brought Katze over to see him. Simple questions that had blown him away because it was something he should have thought about himself.

Damn Iason, Raoul thought growling at one of his assistance who didn't move out of his way fast enough. He some how knew he had not thought beyond obtaining Katze on what he was going to do with him after he got him. The thought of treating him like a normal pet didn't sit well with him. Pet performances were out of the question he didn't want others seeing the innocent expressions Katze made while drowning in the rapture of the new found pleasure he had awaken in him. Tasting him like he had done. In fact everything that related to what he had his pets do in the past was out of the question. Katze was too refining of a man to be subjugated to such things.

With his mind filled with questions with no answers he and Katze had returned to his apartment in silence were upon Katze had escaped to his bedroom with the excuse that he needed to make calls to get the proper equipment brought to him so he could get started on the important job Iason wanted him to do and he had let him go. He wished he could get advice but the one person he always talked to was the one who put these questions in his head.

Katze did not fall under the same laws as pets in Eos but it was still uncustomary not to have him participate. He had no trouble keeping his elite brethren in line, maybe not as elegantly as Iason, but he was able to hold his own and being one of the seven helped. The plain truth was that he did not want anyone, elites or pets; looking at Katze with desire in their eyes something he probably already felt subconsciously which could be the reason why all the outfits he had made for Katze were conservative, showing the barest amount of skin.

There was only one path he could take after thinking about the whole situation and he had a sinking feeling Iason had brought these questions to his attention to get him to go down this road. How Iason knew the true extent of his need for Katze when only now did he himself just found out irritated the hell out of him but not as much as the time he spent thinking about it. A whole night and day, since he wouldn't be back to the apartment until late tonight. Almost twenty-four hours of arguing with himself when he could have had Katze entertaining him, when the answer to those questions was so simple. Katze was his and only he would be the one to touch him. Why did he feel like he had just been corrupted?

Katze paced back in fort in his room. Once they got back yesterday Raoul had thankfully left him alone, from the moment they had left Iason and Riki's place his mind had been occupied with that hair brain plan Riki talked to him about in hushed whispers. Plans that had so many holes in it he didn't know how Riki thought it would work and the nonsense about some pet, his main highlight in his mad plan, with a "Freaky voice" that could make anyone do anything he wanted had him putting his hand on Riki's forehead to make sure the Kid wasn't delirious with a fever. But the Kid explained what he saw he got him curious enough to go along with his insane plan to.

But that wasn't what had him pacing the confines of his room pulling at his hair and chain smoking like a mother; it was the envelope Iason gave him. The moment he saw it he knew immediately it had nothing to do with the Black Market, Which he no doubt only said because Raoul was there, since now he could only utilize his services only for the Market.

Iason never needed to personally give him anything. Everything had always been sent to him by email. The only reason Iason would hand deliver something to him was if sending it online was unsafe. Something he did not want to leave a trail of any kind and sure enough once he locked himself in his room and opened the envelope there was a short message under it a list of estimated dates and times all regarding Riki and his medical records. It was only one page hand written by an elegant hand that to this day still amazed Katze by how perfect Iason's penmanship was. The message was short "Find everything you can about Riki's visits to the hospital. Here are dates and times recorded and another set not recorded. Don't call or email me the information we are to meet in person only."

At first he wondered why Iason wanted him to look into it and why be so hush, hush about the whole thing when it seemed like a pretty cut and dry thing that Iason could do himself until he hacked into the mainframe after hours of searching came back with nothing. So he dug deeper and deeper, using every trick he knew and even the ones that Iason or anyone else knew about. He felt like the information he needed was just a key stroke away, close enough to touch and it pissed him off that he couldn't get it

Throughout the years he had perfected his skills, hacking into every so called un-hackable computer systems on Amoi. He even hacked back into Eos just for a few seconds just to see if he could again a couple years ago. It was the most nerve racking experience of his life. Every second sounded like a gong, the fear that Iason would catch him until he could take it no more and left without doing a thing. Sure enough only thirty seconds had passed and he got a call from Iason but all he told him was "Don't have too much fun." After having those cold eyes on him he never again tried to test his skills on the Tanagura elites home. So he had turned to hacking into systems on other planets to find a challenge.

Hacking into the mainframe in Eos wasn't hard, not with his skills now, but even as he hunted for the information he sought he felt as if something was hunting him as well, countering every move he made, stalking him and when he too close putting up a wall blocking him. He didn't know if he was just being paranoid but he felt like someone was watching him even when he was all but invisible, not even an experienced hacker would be able to notice his presence even if he was sitting next to them doing it. The feeling got so bad that he high tailed it out of there erasing all traced that he had ever been there. But thankfully he didn't leave empty handed.

He had a bad feeling about the whole thing and he knew one thing for sure was that Iason wasn't going to like the little bit of information he had been lucky enough to stumble across because the one thing he did know was that Riki was being experimented on. The thing he found he hoped they hadn't been testing it out on Riki and if they tried… then god help all that were involved and help them find a quick death once Iason got his hands on them.

Ceres

Unwashed bodies packed into the cramped run down room they called a bar. Broken bottles, tables and chairs littered the un-swept floor. It was the grungiest joint in Ceres. A place that if one just walked pass could feel the despair of the poor saps that could only drink any their pathetic life away and bitch about the injustice of how the system was. But unlike the normal screams of rage and sounds of fighting that echoed through the night it was laughter that rang out drawing the attention of everyone on the street and pulled them in.

"I swear I saw him! It was Riki of Bison he was high tailing it down towards Ceres!"

"Riki of Bison is dead everyone knows that. He got killed by the Darkmen."

"That's not true! I heard he got a hot ticket and jumped off planet. They say he's having an easy life out there."

"Its true I tell you! I was close and watched the whole thing!"

"Bullshit!

Arguments broke out but with it laughter and stories of when Riki was with them. Their Varja in the flesh that had once lived among them. The only person, when thought about, that brought pride in being a Mongrel to their hearts.

"You sure you saw right kid?"

"I know who I saw and it was Riki! I may be young but I saw Riki before he disappeared again. There's no way I could have mistaken him for someone else. His jet black hair, black eyes and dark skin, I've never forgotten what he looked like."

"What was he doing?" Someone shouted from in the crowd.

"He was running from some guys in fancy uniforms, they weren't Darkmen."

"How did Riki look?"

"Why were they chasing him?"

"Why didn't you help him?"

Questions fired throughout the bar at the excited kid. "He looked good real good! He was wearing some expensive looking digs and I wanted to help him but by the time I got close they already had him. I never saw anyone fight like him!"

The crowd got loud again trying to get their stories of fights they've seen Riki in.

"What about why they were chasing him? Did you hear them?" The nosed died down none wanted to miss a word.

"Umm… I heard one of the uniformed guys say something about some guy named Iason Mink was going to be pissed at him for trying to runaway from home."

"Iason Mink?"

"Who's that?"

"Holy shit…"

Whispers of amazement, anger and confusion filled the air.

The kid looked around confused. "Who's Iason Mink?"

"A Blondie kid or I guess I should say he is The Blondie. He's the Fucking King of this whole planet. I hear the other elites need to even ask permission from him if they can take a shit."

"I heard that that Blondie was the reason why our Riki disappeared those first three years he was gone."

"Ya but he came back."

"And then disappeared after a year."

"So what? He took him back?"

"Wouldn't you?"

"Fucking bastards have everything they could ever want why the hell did they take Riki?"

"Is it obvious? Think about it!"

The crowd quieted at the voice that shouted out.

"If you could wouldn't you take him if you could? That kid, our Varja of the Slums, is it any question on why that The Blondie took him?"

While the crowd shouted only the kid who started the whole thing noticed a lone figure sitting at the bar not joining in with the rest. His hair was a wild knotted mess around his head covering his face but it was his wild gray eyes sent shivers down his spine, the only thing that would be seen through the mass of tangles. The unnatural shine that reflected from those crazed orbs that had him stepping back, farther away from where the strange Mongrel sat. He didn't understand why no one noticed him or put him out of his misery or maybe they did and just didn't care but one only had to look at him to see he was suffering. He only had one arm too and the worst thing you could be was in Ceres was vulnerable in anyway.

The kid quickly lowered his eyes when the one armed Mongrel stood pushing his way out of the bar trying to make himself as small as he possible could. He could feel those crazed eyes on him. He knew without a doubt that if he wasn't with his gang and a whole bar filled with Mongrels who were now his friends since he brought them wonderful news that the strange would have killed him he could only sigh in relief when the dude left.

Outside the scum, the low down cut throats stalked the one armed Mongrel who walked down a trash filled alley tensing up to attack. Easy prey. That was that last thing they thought as the Mongrel they tried to jump easily disarmed them and silenced their pleas for mercy permanently.

"Riki…"

The inhuman scream of anger and pain filled the air chilling the other predators in the area to the bone. They backed away in fear, hiding themselves where ever they could to get out of the streets. Whatever was out there they didn't want to run into.
