Alice In Wonderland Fan Fiction ❯ Inquistive ❯ Inquistive ( Chapter 1 )

[ Y - Young Adult: Not suitable for readers under 16 ]
A darker version of the Disney film of Alice in Wonderland, with a bit of a twist. This is what may have occured had Wonderland been real. Since no one cared about Alice, she easily could have died, and suffered terrible consequences.

I own nothing.

It's okay to ask questions as a child.

To wonder about whimsical makings.

But there is a fine line between inquiry and acting on that wonder.

For curiosity, in this instance, will harm your innocence.

Sweet child, crawl up the rabbit hole if you can manage.

Dry your flood of tears, and search for keys, for any door.

Something to help you escape,

For you see my dear, Wonderland can just as easily be Frightland.

The cat has claws, the rabbit is unconcerned, and the Hatter is mad.

The Queen will just as easily paint her roses red with your spilled blood.

Chop off your head, and use your pretty golden-hair for a wig.

If you're not careful dear, you will be killed off like a curious cat.

That damned cat…

Curious and curiouser? Perhaps.

But find your way back to safe reality, to blessed normality.

Before this state of limbo becomes you.

Golden-haired Alice, you have far too much ahead to stay in a land of seeming wonders.

Inquire if you must, but remember that it's merely an inquiry and nothing more.
