I don't own the Alien franchise… if I did Newt and Hicks would still be alive throughout the chronicle!

Chapter 4: Name exchange and the rescue of Newt
Alex found Vasquez and Gorman pinned by aliens coming their way, she got her shot gun ready and blasted the aliens blocking their way to her, she rushed toward them and helped Gorman grab Vasquez. She shot the aliens on the other side but could not stop another alien that broke through the air shaft from grabbing Gorman and pulling him into the darkness, Alex grabbed Vasquez and hauled her back to where the others where waiting. They arrived only to learn that Newt had fallen through another tunnel and couldn't catch her. “Hudson, take Vasquez and wait for the drop ship!” Alex ordered and followed Hicks and Ripley. Hudson agreed full heartedly and obeyed the woman that saved his life, he helped Vasquez up and they climbed the ladder.
Ripley, Hicks and Alex followed the signal of the tracer and found Newt. Hicks began to cut the grating as Alex watched the halls, ready to shoot anything that moved that wasn't them. When another signal appeared she tried hard to look for the alien under the grating and kill it but she couldn't, even when she put the barrel of the gun right at the holes and shot she couldn't stop the Alien from taking Newt… she cursed loudly and helped Hicks pull Ripley from sure death as she tried to get her little girl. They ran down the hall and into the elevator. Hicks pressed the button several times before it closed, suddenly an alien appeared through the shutting doors, forcing them to stop and trying to get to them, Hicks shot at the Alien and Alex pulled Ripley down, covering her from danger, as soon as the Alien died there was another danger, Hicks' armor plating was being eaten away by acid, they managed to get it off his quick enough to stop it from reaching his chest completely but not quick enough from stopping it from damaging his arm and face.
The elevator opened and they helped Hicks move out quickly, they reached the drop ship and Ripley announced she was going back, “WHAT!” the others said as they rode on the drop ship,
“You can't be serious man! I liked that little girl too but that's suicide!” Hudson protested,
“He's right, you'll be killed.” Vasquez put in, feeling worried for the woman she came to respect. Ripley was irritated and frustrated beyond belief, nothing was going to stop her from getting her daughter,
“I'm going.” She said simply. The drop ship flew closer to the explosion-pending facility as she prepared herself.
“We can't stop her… she already lost her family once, she's determined not to see that happen again… I have faith she'll be alright.” Alex said softly as she finished giving her brother the best medical treatment she could with the limited supplies they had. Ripley came back armed and ready to go, telling them to make sure Bishop doesn't take off. Suddenly she turned to Hicks, she had no doubt that she had feelings for him, whether they were romantic or from respect and admiration she didn't know, but something told her she wanted to see his handsome face once more before she went out to her possible death,
“See you Hicks…” she said, looking straight into his eyes, Hicks smiled,
“Dwayne, its Dwayne…” he said, having a strikingly similar feeling to the one she had; the others saw this exchange with knowing eyes, they could sense something between them and so they kept quiet.
“Ellen…” she responded, a ghost of a smile coming to her trembling lips, he smiled once more, brighter this time now that he found out her name,
“Don't be gone long Ellen.” He said full-heartedly as she nodded and rushed out. Time was going by quicker then they wanted as the computerized voice from outside said how much longer they had to live. Hudson paced in the drop ship and Vasquez forcibly pulled him down to sit,
“You're making me dizzy man.” She said quietly, too tired to yell at him, he sighed and slumped against the hard seat. Alex had been cleaning Hicks up, wiping his sweat-covered, acid-burned face with water and applying soothing burn-cream she found in one of the med kits. She cleaned his wounds a best she could and gave him drugs that would accelerate the healing process and take away the pain, he smiled at her and fell asleep from the cocktail of drugs… she had not given him that much so she knew he would wake up a later, she guessed he probably fell asleep from exhaustion. Time dragged on and they became increasingly worried. When they heard cracking noises and crashes from outside they looked and saw the platform become too unstable. Bishop went to the pilot seat and lifted the ship up, pulling it away from the platform so the ship wouldn't be damaged, a while later they heard Ripley scream in frustration and knew she probably thought they flew away.
Bishop flew back and she jumped on the lowered steps from the ship. Alex and Hudson helped them inside and they screamed in fright at the sight of the Alien queen barreling toward them, “HOLY SHIT!” Hudson cried in alarm “GO BISHOP! GO NOW!!” Ripley screamed, Bishop didn't need to be told twice so he flew the ship off as quick as he could. They sat stiffly on the seats as the drop ship rocketed away from the huge explosion on the planet. Once they reached the gigantic cruiser they finally relaxed, slumping in their seats and grinning at each other. They had survived it! “FUCKEN A'!!” Hudson cried out in joy and the rest couldn't help but smile at his enthusiasm, equally happy.
When the drop ship landed Ripley went to retrieve Hicks; Bishop pointed out they needed a stretcher to carry him and they saw Alex rush out to get one, Hudson went with her wanting to be of help to them. Ripley, Newt and Bishop stepped off the drop ship to wait for the stretcher. Vasquez crawled to her fallen comrade and wiped the sweat off his face, feeling more respect to the man that held them together and brother to the woman the pulled their asses out of the fire then before.
“Way to go pendejo.” She said jokingly and also respectfully. She relaxed against the seat nearby, falling asleep from utter exhaustion. Alex and Hudson where caring the stretcher to the hanger when they heard an all too familiar sound, they looked in and saw the mother of all aliens again,
“STAY BACK!!!” Ripley commanded them, stepping away and glancing at the fallen Bishop. Alex got her shot gun and closed the hanger doors again; Hudson rushed off a moment later and came back with a rifle. They sat and waited as they listened to Ripley distract the giant alien from getting to Newt. The fight with the alien queen did not last long as soon as Ripley got in the loader; it was like watching a sumo wrestle from the windows of the hanger door. Alex tried to calm Hudson down by pointing this out, she was rewarded by a small smile which quickly turned sour when they saw the loader be dragged into the disposal hatch. They waited in anticipation and when they saw things being quickly pulled down there as if it where some kind of black hole they knew Ripley had opened the vacuum door. A terror stricken while later, Ripley appeared from the hole and shut the doors; Alex and Hudson opened the hanger door and rushed to help her.
