We all sat on the ground, quietly discussing Zuko when the woman jumped up on the edge of the wall. She hopped down again and for a moment we thought she was going to kill someone again, when she rose a few seconds later with Zuko and Iroh accompanying her on her flying pedestal. Slowly placing it back on the ground, they stepped off it and looked at me.

" The fleet is leaving and all the men have evacuated this island." Zuko said and we all looked to Toph to see if he was lying.

" He's not lying." she said. We kept studying him. This decision was like a battle that would never find it's winner. There are so many things Zuko did to make us not want to trust him, but at the same time, I need a firebending teacher and he seems to have really changed.

" How did you do that? Your still on the island." Katara said. I knew that she didn't want Zuko at all to come. But I also knew that she'd allow it if I wanted Zuko to come.

" I told them that we three would scout the island all night and would meet them at the next dock in a few days. They evacuated a smaller boat and left that for us as the fleet continued on since I believed that you escaped, but Uncle Iroh still wanted to investigate the island more." Zuko said as he crossed his arms over his chest. I was kinda suprised that he did this, and looking around at my friends, I seen they were too.

" .....I know your not lying, Zuko. I can see you've realized your mistakes and it'd be an honor to have you as my firebending teacher." I finally decided, my friends giving an understanding, but reluctant smile. Zuko smiled in relief and bowed to me.

" Thank you Avatar." he said and my chest warmed that he had finally changed. The air seemed to lighten a bit and everyone's tense muscles relaxed.

" Uhm, Master....Aida wishes to speak." the woman next to Zuko said, and we suddenly realized that she was still there and posed as a threat to us. But Zuko seemed to be her boss, so we kind of relaxed and watched them, in wonder to who this person was exaclty.

" Fine." Zuko said, obviously in a good mood from being accepted into the group. It got kinda freaky again when she began to change.....but kinda not change. Her eyes seemed to have a fire lit behind them as she stood up straight with her lips pursed.

" Are you fuckin' crazy! We're going to get in trouble with the Fire Lord! And my ass is going to get thrown in his chambers again!" the woman yelled in a total different voice. Like the one that we heard earlier! Deep and strong, as if she held the most highest position in the world. Zuko studied the woman as we all stared in horror at her rampage of curse words.

" Aida, if you want to leave, you can." he said simply, but then she began to soften, going through that look changing thing again. We stood uncomfortably as we watched her do this.

" No, Master. I'd rather be with you in times of trouble than be safe without you." a whole new soft voice said. Completely different from the other one. Matter of fact, it was completely the opposite!

" Uh, Zuko......what's going on?" I asked, watching the woman who was just screaming her head off at him, hold his hand. Zuko smiled at the woman before turning to me.

" This is......Zenaida......" he said unsurely as he scratched the back of his neck before bringing his eyes to the ground. "....and Aida."

We began to look around in the darkness for another girl by the name of Aida, but found no one. General Iroh chuckled, bringing our curious eyes back to where they stood. Zuko sighed as they approached our group.

" Uhm, well they're in here." Zuko said uncomfortably as pointed to the woman's head and then he groaned in exhaustion and frusturation beofre warily looking at me. " Do you have energy for a story tonight?"

" Uhm....sure." we all said in unision and he began to talk about the woman.

~Zenaida~

As Prince Zuko explained to the Avatar and his friends about me, General Iroh suggested that I should go look for some firewood. I did as he told, feeling somewhat excited that I actually had a story that could be told about me. But when I began to think about the past, the negatives outweight the positives.....by a lot, which makes me feel ashamed. I've always wanted a good reputation, but the things in the past puts me as some whore who sleeps with everyone to get what I want.

Going back over the wall, I can still see them in deep talk. The girl with thick dark hair sent me a curious and poisonous glance that made my skin crawl. I could feel Aida raising to say something, but I kept her down and threw the sticks on the ground.

" Aida, help me out here." I said lowly to myself as I pointed to the sticks. A flame shot out and they were lit a nice violet. I smiled at how pretty the color was and could hear the Avatar and the boy that could not bend say, "Oooh.."

" Zenaida, come over here." Prince Zuko called to me and I obeyed. The four of them looked at me with a look caught between horrified and sypathetic. His hand held mine and I smiled at him. " Introduce yourselves."

" I am Zenaida, the earthbender." I said, understanding what he meant. I stomped by foot on the ground, a boulder larger than their bison flying up out of the ground before falling back into it's place in the ground. I bowed and allowed everything to get dark for Aida to take over.

~Zuko~

I surveyed their faces as Aida came into view. She let out her famous smirk as she used her free hand to flip her hair behind her shoulder.

" And I am Aida. The more better one out of the two if you ask me." she said with a small chuckle before her face dropped in disgust as she snatched her hand away from my hold. " Ew, don't do that with me! That's fuckin' sick! Save that shit for Zenaida!" she yelled and I shook my head, used to her attitude. But the four of them jumped back in suprise at the strength and bitterness in her voice.

" Your the firebender?" Toph, the blind girl asked with her eyebrows furrowed. Aida looked down at her and chuckled.

" Yes, I am. And I take it your the earthbending blind girl?" Aida asked and I could tell that she was getting more vicious as she bent down to the small girl's level. I grabbed her arm and pulled her back.

" Aida, behave." I commanded and she sighed irritatedly.

" I am fuckin' behaving!" she whined before her features began to shift again to Zenaida's. They stared at her as she smiled up at me with her innocent eyes.

" Aida's angry. She's cursing inside." Zenaida said lowly as she walked back over to the fire. She grabbed her cloak and wrapped it around her again as she sat in front of the fire and hugged her knees.

~Zenaida~

" Aida, calm down. You made a real pretty fire." I said softly to her in my head and she stopped for a moment before letting out a frusturated scream.

" I don't give a fuck about the damn fire, girl! Shit...your so fuckin' stupid." she yelled at me and I winced at how loud and high-pitched her shriek was. She eventually died down as everyone sat around the fire. It was so warm on this chilly night and if there weren't walls around this area, it would've blown out.

" Well, I don't think we introduced ourselves yet. I'm Sokka." the man who cannot bend said as he sat up from his spot around the fire and leaned over with an extended hand. I shook his hand and gave him a warm smile that melted his features.

" Zenaida." I said softly and he smiled as if he were in a dream. I giggled and the Avatar added his own personal smile. The waterbending girl furrowed her brows in anger and leaned over the fire as well with her hand extended rather reluctantly.

" Katara." she said sharply and with a quick shake of her hand, she sat back down at her spot, also hugging her knees. The blind girl held up a hand and a small smile.

" Toph here." she said simply before falling back on her spot, looking up at the sky.
" Hi." I said to her and finally the Avatar stood up. He looked like such a young boy. What was it like to be on your way to saving the world?

" I am Aang, the Avatar." he said with a goofy smile and I smiled back, shaking his hand as well.

" It's an honor." I said and the Katara stood up from her spot as she walked over to their bison. Sokka introduced their flying leemer which sniffed me and sat on my shoulder, his tail coiling around my neck. Katara walked back with a pack and handed everyone a small loaf of bread that we ate in silence. I felt somewhat at ease when I was around these new people. I thought that I'd be scared and that the Firelord would pop out of the darkness any minute now. And as everyone slept comfortably on the grass that night, I stayed awake, eyes wide open and waiting for his return. My stomache churned with worry as I sat up and looked around the darkness. Walking around the campfire, worry poking my gut with a sharp spear, I seen Toph sit up and yawn.

" What are you doing?" she asked, her blind eyes looking in my direction. Aida began to get fidgety and everything got dark.

~Aida~

I stared at the blind little girl. She reminded me of a girl we used to stay with when our mother died....at an orphanage.

" What the fuck do you think I'm doing?" I hissed as I sat on a rock and threw my cloak off. It landed on the ground and I spread my legs a little to check on Zuko's marking. It looked like someone had carved it with a knife and was now slightly puffy like a scar. I ran my finger over it, feeling it's smoothness against the tip of my finger. The girl, Toph got up and walked over to me.

" I don't know. Did you forget that I was blind and can't see what your doing?" she asked in a sarcastic voice as she stopped in front of me. Her blind eyes seared through mine even though she could not see through them. She was short, probably around the same age as the Avatar.

" Smartass....." I hissed before kicking my boots off and letting my barefeet touch the cool grass. I was trying fuckin' relax but this blind girl keeps hanging around me. " What the fuck do you want?"

" I don't know. I just couldn't sleep." she said as if she had not been affected by my harsh tone. Plopping on the ground next to me, she layed back and tucked her hands under her head her eyes reflecting the sky above. I studied her for a second. I could tell that she was strong. And I had heard from Zuko that she was a tough one. But she looked like a damn innocent kid right now.

" And what the fuck do you want me to do kid?" I asked as I stood up and cracked my neck, trying to ease the joints that Zenaida had tensed up. As I stretched, she sat up with furrowed eyebrows.

" Your Aida. right?" she asked curiously and I chuckled.

" Yeah, what's it to you?" I asked as I sat back on the rock and leaned back to look up at the sky.

" Just asking. Sheesh, don't gotta get so grumpy." she scoffed and began to walk back to her sleeping spot with her hands up in the air as if she were surrendering. I found myself smiling at that little girl's attitude and could feel the exhaustion in our body slowly tugging at me, so I layed down- not next to Zuko, but by the rock- and fell asleep.
