The weekend was coming up, and Yomi wanted to go on a second date.  It has been a couple of weeks, but things got busy.   It was the same with Kaorin.  She had been hassled by her parents about her school work (which always was being completed accurately) and about chores.  Thankfully there was a break in the schedule.  It was nearing the final week of may, and it was Golden week.  Yomi also knew that she wanted to get her homework out of the way as quick as possible.  She had an idea, since it was Golden Week...and she'd have her homework done by Tuesday (she never screwed around with it)...she decided she would make plans with Kaorin.  

"Hey Kaorin," Yomi said, "what are you doing this weekend?"

"Well, I have homework to do...so I can have it out of the way," she said sadly.

"You know that works out," Yomi said, "because, if I play my cards right, we can go out next Tuesday."

"What do you have in mind?" Kaorin asked.

"I was hoping we'd go to a temple, and then just to hang out," she answered.

"You know...I'd love to...if I can't on Tuesday..."

"We have the rest of Golden week to worry about that."

"You're right...I'll get my homework done."

"Same here, don't rush it," Yomi said with a smile.

"Thank you," she said, "I just don't want things to go out of whack."

"How is Chihiro doing anyway?" Yomi asked.

"She's actually better, though her mom grounded her anyway."

"Tomo blabbed..."

"Tomo didn't know her mom would be at the market."

"I hope she wasn't too harsh on her."

"She was...though her dad eased her up to just a month's probation."

Yomi was relieved.  She didn't want Chihiro to be beyond devastated  While it is true they looked at her with more scrutiny....they did make things better.  They didn't dig up old wounds...and Tomo got the hint quickly.  She did not want to risk Yomi having an in-class, and very violent, freak-out.  Also, she was informed that all homework must be done by Tuesday afternoon, if possible.  Kaorin understood exactly how that was going to work.  Thankfully, this weekend was going to pass by.  However...they didn't know that things were going to get interesting.  The next Tuesday afternoon, in fact....it was going to be more than interesting.  That day, homework was done (since they started that Friday).  Kaorin arrived to Yomi's house smiling.  She was dressed in a simple sleeveless black dress.  Yomi ended up wearing a white tank-top, and short shorts.  of course, she was around the house.  She didn't couldn't get to the showers right away.

"Oh hey," Yomi said, "I haven't expected you to come so early."

"I wanted to surprise you," Kaorin said smiling broadly.

"You certainly did," Yomi said, tugging up her tank top, "I will be taking a shower shortly."

"Wow, I caught you when you were comfortable," Kaorin blushed.

"It's okay," Yomi said, "my mom's idea is flannel pajamas."

"Well, I can wait while you get ready," Kaorin offered.

"Kick your shoes off, and watch a little TV, I'll be a little while," Yomi said smiling.

"By the way, you have nice breasts," Kaorin blurted out.

"Thank you," Yomi said smiling, "that's the first time anybody complemented them."

Yomi went to the shower with a smile on her face.  Kaorin blushed insanely.  Did she really say that?!  She saw herself in the television reflection and gave a smile.  She also touched her face lightly with her hand.  She just did something that many wouldn't do.  Still...It couldn't be that bad.  Though, she willed herself to keep her hormones down.  She knew that she wasn't ready for that drastic of a step yet.  That would had taken a little more time.  They've only been going together since the start of the term last month.  After, about 20 minutes, Yomi came out.  She had a low-cut t-shirt on.  She wasn't one of those girls who liked to be prudish, yet, she wasn't going to be showing anything good either.  

"Are you ready to go?" Yomi asked.

"I'm ready," Kaorin said, seeing her brush her jeans off from loose lint.

"We do have to be careful not to get separated, it's a huge time of the year."

"Hey, aren't your friends going to be there?" Kaorin asked, because she was willing to adjust.

"I believe everybody's with their families," Yomi then underscored.

"What about your parents?"

"They took the time to take their second honeymoon...it's been twenty years..."

"Oh, that was something unexpected."

"They'll be back on Sunday afternoon."

Kaorin then decided not to press on with the issue much longer.  They went to the train station, and paid the fare.  It was busy...however, it wasn't packed.  It usually gets like that during the very last day of Golden week.  Still, it was a quiet ride.  Neither talked to each other, and on their cell phones.  It definitely was pastoral, as the scenery rushed by.  Kaorin took it all in.  She really was interested in everything that was going on.  Once they got to the station, they walked to the temple.  They were very quiet, but they decided to make their prayers.  After, they were going to find a local food stand when they ran into Yukari and Nyamo.

"Oh, I didn't expect to see you two here," Nyamo said, quite surprised.

"We decided to try to relax once we have our homework completed," Yomi answered.

"Oh, wow, I never thought to do it the Friday before," Yukari mused.

"I guess very few would think to do that," Nyamo said.  

"Are you on your way to the altar?" Kaorin asked.

"We are," Yukari answered, "you both take care."

"That was a chance meeting," Yomi said, however, it was kind of expected.

Kaorin instead of making another remark, or keeping the conversation going, held Yomi's hand.  Yomi blushed a little, but there was no rule against it.  They walked to the nearby park, in relative quiet.  Once they were on the bench, they were taking in the beautiful scenery.  It was like this for two more minutes, before Kaorin broke the silence.

"Yomi," Kaorin then said...with a little blush, "I normally don't do this...but...you can call me Kaori if you'd like."

"Thank you," Yomi said smiling, "you may call me Koyomi."

"This is something...that is very calming."

"Yes, being away from our friends and family...it sometimes helps."

"Koyomi...do you think we'll last?" Kaorin asked suddenly.

"Bluntly, I don't know," she answered.  "It ends only if we allow it too."

"That makes perfect sense," she returned calmly.

"Kaori...I am glad I started to date you."

"Koyomi...I am glad I am dating you right now."

They decided they had to get home.  They went to the train station, and spent another trip in silence.  The other travelers were just as quiet.  Once they arrived back home, they took the bus back to Yomi's.  Kaorin's parents were there.  They forgot that Yomi's parents were going to be out for the rest of the week.

"Hello," Yomi said bowing, "I didn't expect you here."

"Oh hello," Kaorin's father said, "are your parents in?"

"They're on vacation this week, they'll be back Sunday," Yomi answered.

"Well, would you mind if Kaori stayed here for the rest of the week with you?" her mother asked.

"It's not a problem, we have extra clothes for her," her father reassured.

"It's not a problem at all," Yomi said.

Kaorin didn't even anticipate this happening to her!  She graciously accepted.  However, she did have some reservations.  She didn't want to jump Yomi and have earth shattering sex.  Yomi was feeling the same way.  She didn't want to take advantage.  She cursed, as her parents (and for space reasons) didn't get an extra futon for this situation.  However, after her parents left...Kaorin asked one very important question.

"What the hell do we do without getting into trouble?" Kaorin asked seriously.

"I got no damn clue," Yomi said, "we'll have to deal with it."

"Since we have the week to ourselves...do you think...things could pivot for the good?"

"I do...if we can't survive this week, then there's no way we'll survive a lifetime together."

That made Kaorin freeze in her tracks.  Yomi was right.  They were going to have to deal with each others flaws.  Kaorin was aware of this too.  She also knew Yomi's Routine...so she decided she better attempt to do as the Romans do.  She has done so the last time...but it wasn't so difficult.  This time however, this was going to be a hundred times more difficult.  Yomi did come to a solution on the sleeping arrangements

"Hey...would you like to sleep on the couch tonight?" Yomi asked.

"I think that'd be a good idea..." Kaorin said nervously.

"Do you have anything special that you like to do...or do you have anything that wakes you up easily."

"Well...I hope you have cable...because I have...um...with you in my head," Kaorin said embarrassed

"Oh...I um...have done that...with you in my head too," Yomi admitted.

"This is kinda awkward," Kaorin then said...blushing.

"I will be right back to get you an extra pillow and blanket...and yes we do have cable."

"T-thank you, I much appreciate it."

Yomi mentally cursed.  Why would she admit something like that?  It was simple really.  She's done it before...and Kaorin brought it up.  She returned with a fluffy pillow, and a soft blanket.  Yomi knew that Kaorin wasn't going to go to sleep just yet.  She had to change out of her clothing.  Yomi decided that she was going to let Kaorin shower first.  Kaorin agreed and went to the shower, with her bath basket.  Yomi went to her room and just fell back on her bed.  She honestly didn't think this was going to happen.  On the same token, neither did Kaorin.  About a half hour later, they were changed.  Yomi was in her powder blue pajamas.  Kaorin, had on a short-sleeved pink and white shirt.  It had a huge pink heart with "LOVE" in the middle.  She didn't have any bottoms, so she only had a new pair of whit panties.  Yomi then lay on her bed...she was praying things went well.  Unfortunately for her...prayers went half answered.  She then went out to be with Kaorin.  They were very close to a kiss...but they pulled back.  They were definitely afraid at this point.
