Chapter 2- Being Alice

 

Masquerade cleared his throat.

 

“I'll be down soon!” he called to the brawlers in what he hoped was a girly voice.

 

Luckily, the others bought it and went back to their business. Masquerade sighed in relief.

 

“Alright,” he said while pacing, “All I have to do is act like Alice until I figure out what happened and how to change back.”

 

A small black ball popped out from Masquerade's pocket.

 

“Aww, I like you better this way Master,” chuckled Hydranoid.

 

“Shut up!” said Masquerade as he smashed the poor Bakugan.

 

Grudgingly, Hydranoid obeyed, knowing that he'd be hit again if he voiced his opinion.

 

“Now, what does Alice act like?” asked Masquerade, scratching his chin.

 

He pondered this for a second. Then, he grinned.

 

“Aha!” said Masquerade, “ I remember! She always acts nice and always helps. She's the exact opposite of me!”

 

His grin quickly morphed into a frown.

 

“How in the world am I going to act like that?” he whispered.

 

“Alice! It's time for lunch!” screamed Dan.

 

“Well, it's now or never,” sighed Masquerade as he walked down the steps to the dining room.

 

`I hope my acting skills are good enough,' he thought.
