I have a question for you people. How did you know who the Avenger was?

 

Well, I'm plenty mean to Kai in this chapter. Please forgive me.

 

 

Ch2

“But Rei,” Mariah protested, “He can't stay here! He'll have me arrested for helping the Masked Avenger!”

“Mariah,” Rei chuckled, “This is my house. You can stay with someone else. I know you are in love with Lee.”

“Do you think he'll let me stay?”

“He should,” Rei said quietly, “Tell him that the Avenger says that you can't stay here”

Mariah grinned. Lee was scared of the Avenger. She would be able to stay with him.

Rei was a genius.

“Ugh,” Kai groaned trying to get off of the bed.

He soon found that he was chained to the bed, he could barely move.

“Glad you're awake.”

Kai saw the Masked Avenger standing over him.

“Let me go,” Kai hissed, “I order you too.”

“No your majesty,” the Avenger said, “I won't.”

“So help me,” Kai snarled, “I'll—“

The Avenger cut him off.

“You won't do anything,” he said sarcastically, “You are in no position. Much like those you and your head of guards raped.”

The Avenger started unbuttoning Kai's fancy silk shirt and trailed his fingers down Kai's chest.

“I didn't,” Kai whispered, fear finally showing in his eyes, “I refused to. But it was Tala's own choice.”
“But you let innocent people get hurt!” the Avenger boomed slapping Kai across the face, “how could you!”

“I told him not too,” Kai mumbled.

“But you didn't stop him!”

“I couldn't.”

“You're the king for god's sake! You could have ordered him not too! Do you know what it feels like to be raped? Do you want me to rape you!”

“No,” Kai mumbled.

“No to what?” The Masked Avenger snarled, “No to you don't know what it feels like? Or no to me raping you?”

The Avenger started pulling Kai's pants down when Kai started screaming.

“No! Please! Don't! Not again!”

Kai was frantic, his Grandfather had raped him before, and he knew what those people felt. He was weak for not stopping it!

Kai didn't realize that he was still screaming until the Avenger said, “Hey, calm down. You're unchained. I won't touch you again. Calm down.”
Kai didn't realize that he pushed himself to the top of the bed in fear, he hadn't realized that he was crying, that he was shaking in fear.

“Guess that answers my question,” the Avenger mumbled in shame.

Kai saw the masked face in front of his own. The Avenger had golden eyes.

“Are you okay?”

The Avenger gave Kai a glass of water and said, “Drink it.”

Kai did and felt himself relax slightly. He was no longer screaming, but still trembling.

“Stay away from me.”

The Avenger nodded and left the hut to give Kai some time alone.

Why did I do that? Kai wondered as he looked out of the window, That part of my life is over. Why did I freak out?

Kai noticed that he didn't know where he was, the Avenger lived in a forest, but which one was it? God, at this rate he would never get back to the palace.

He would be stuck with the Avenger until the Avenger got tired of him.

A door shutting made Kai jump. He turned and saw a pink haired girl walk in.

“Your Majesty,” she said with a nod of her head, “I've been told by the Masked Avenger to watch over you. He says that he is sorry about scaring you.”

Kai glared at the girl.

“Why am I here?”

“Because,” the girl said, “The Masked Avenger wants you here.”

“Well, who are you?”

“Mariah.”

“Mariah,” Kai said, knowing that he was going to show one more moment of weakness, “He said that he was going to rape me. He was going to rape me for something I didn't do.”

Mariah sighed.

“He was angry. There's not much he can do for the villagers since you treat them like rats. Her voice emphasized the last word.

Kai turned back to the window.

`When can I go home/” he asked, “I need my sword.

“Not much I can do for you,” Mariah said, “Do you want some bread?”

Kai nodded and Mariah handed him a loaf of bread. He ate it in three bites while Mariah shook her head.

“What?” Kai asked.

“Nothing, can you help me clean this place up?”

“You're the peasant.”

Mariah sighed. This was going to be a long three days.
