Nia: Hello again everyone!!! I think I finally lost Kai… well for the time being. :::sheepish grin::: I couldn't stop thinking about this next chapter so I decided to start writing now.

Tyson: I'm excited too! I can't wait to see what happens!

Nia: What's that strange noise?

Tyson: :::looks over shoulder::: uhmm… Nai?

Nia: I'm busy Tyson ::: looks under the computer desk for the source of the noise:::

Tyson: Nia!

Nia: What?!

"Takao? Who is Takao?" Max stood up, Kai guessed to get a better look at the man.

"It's me Max. It's Tyson."

Chapter Two

The Fate of the Dragon Pt II

Kai heard the words but they didn't register. Everyone under the tree didn't say a word as they all stared at the two new comers. Kai slowly stood up and looked at the one that had called himself Tyson.

He was tall. Not quiet as tall as he, Kai, was but he was still tall. That was saying something since Kai was now standing at 6'2 and this guy was maybe two inches shorter then he was. His hair was a lot longer then the Tyson that Kai remembered. It reached all the way down to the small of back but was pulled back elegantly into a ponytail that rested between his shoulder blades. It was still the same blue black that Kai remembered but it looked silkier and shinier than before.

His face had matured a lot as well. All the baby fat that made his face seem round was now gone and Tyson had a very strong jaw line. His eyes looked older as if he had experienced a lot in his short life and this scared Kai a little. What happened to the spark of life that used to shine in those beautiful eyes Tyson? They look older, wiser, and so full of power. Kai also noticed that hanging from Tyson's left ear was an earring. It was a sapphire stud with five little golden hoops hanging down from it and on the end of the hoops was what looked like a fang.

Kai moved a little closer to Tyson as he looked at everyone in the group. Kai could tell Tyson was nervous. Kai was starting to wish he didn't move closer as now he could see all of Tyson as he stood before them. Max was right Tyson was a lot more muscular. And the clothes he wore only helped to emphasize that fact. Tyson was wearing tighter black jeans and thick black boots that had a strip of metal over the foot. Around his waist he wore a thick metal-looking belt with a dragon as the buckle. He wore a very very tight white shirt that clung to his chest in all the right places and to finish off the look he was wearing a leather jacket that just reached is waist and was left open.

"Well this is awkward. I kind of feel like a caged bird," Kaida spoke and her voice broke through Kai's mind as he memorized every each of Tyson.

"Kaida!" Tyson turned to look at his cousin.

"What? No one is saying anything! They are just staring at us! Thus the bird in the cage feeling," Kaida placed her hands on her hips and looked right back at Tyson.

Kaida nearly jumped into Tyson when the professor yelled across the courtyard, "Hilary! Kenny! I would like those two to know the school before the end of class now get a move on!"

Kai watched as Kaida placed a hand over her heart. "I don't think I will ever get used to how loud everything here is."

Tyson placed an arm around her shoulders and smiled down at her. "Ha! There you are Tyson!" Max jumped up and down pointing at Tyson. Tyson jumped and Kaida fell into Rei.

"Max for all that is sacred please stop yelling! I'm still not used to how loud everything here is either and what are you talking? I have been standing for the last ten minutes and you just noticed me now?" Tyson turned is attention back to his cousin.

Kai looked at Kaida and Rei and knew that Tyson was either one going to yell or two hit someone. There were some things about a person that you could tell even if you haven't seen them in three years. Rei had his arms wrapped around Kaida's slim waist and was helping her get her balance back.

"Hil! Chief! Let's go!" Tyson strode forward and pulled Kaida from Rei as they made their way towards the school.

"Coming Tyson!" Hilary ran off after them and Kenny turned to the group.

"I didn't think Tyson would change that much. I mean I could feel something powerful coming from within Tyson and his cousin Kaida. Well we have lunch after this so we will meet you all at the roof top for lunch." With that said the Chief ran off to join Hilary, Tyson and Kaida.

Rei sat back down followed by Max. "Oh! My! God! I am very washing these clothes again. Kaida smelled like vanilla and rain! And her skin was so soft. And she was so cute saying `I really can't stand loud noises'. I still can't believe the look Tyson gave me though." Rei shuttered slightly.

"Well Rei you have known his cousin for what ten minutes and you were all over her the minute she touched you. If I was Tyson I would be a little mad too. Not to mention that this is his cousin and by the looks of things he is very protective of her. But Tyson! Break me off a piece of that! I mean I don't think Tyson could be anymore sexy!"

Rei laughed as he pushed Max slightly. "Don't let your boyfriend hear that or he will end up killing Tyson!"

"I can look if I want to and if you tell Markus I will have to kill you!" Max laughed back.

Kai was still standing in total shock at seeing Tyson. After dreaming about that moment for three years and then Tyson doesn't even look at him! What the hell is up with him! I have been waiting for Tyson for over three years and when he comes back he acts like I don't even exist! Wait what was Max and Rei talking about? Kai's mind was finally catching up with the conversation that was going on between Max and Rei and it was making Kai even madder.

How dare Max even think that about my Tyson! "Shut up the two of you! We have work to do!" Kai sat back down and grabbed his book.

Just breath Takao that's all you have to do. Kai looked amazing and that uniform… oh my god! Stop Takao! Stop thinking that! You can't get Kai involved! You can't!

"Umm… Takao you're hurting me…" Tyson drew himself from his thoughts and looked at his cousin. He was holding onto her wrist as he dragged her towards the school.

Tyson let go and saw that her wrist was red. "Oh Kaida I'm sorry. I didn't mean to. I was just thinking." Kaida giggled and Tyson looked at her funny. "What?"

"So that was Kai. I can see why you were thinking he looked amazing." Tyson felt his face go red. That only made Kaida giggle more.

"Kaida what were you doing in my head?! My thoughts are private matters!"

"Shh! Takao if you keep talking that loud the others will hear." Tyson turned and saw Kenny and Hilary running to catch up. "We swore that I was not allowed to tell the others about up north but you will end telling everyone yourself if you don't stop yelling at me."

"I know Kaida I know. But Kai he looked so… I can't get him involved in all of this I can't! I don't want any of them involved in any of this."

"Then why did you come back? They will find us if we stay here. I think you want Kai and the others involved. I know that we need them. They have powers too and with our help they could learn how to use them."

"Kaida I have already told you that they don't need to get involved!" Tyson crossed his arms and gave Kaida a look that said that they were done talking. Kaida opened her mouth to say something but Kenny and Hilary showed up and Kaida fell silent.

"Wow you two really walk fast. Tyson you used to be such a slow walking before and now I have to run to keep up with you." Hilary grabbed at a stitch in her side as Kenny came to a stop beside her.

"Sorry Hil. I needed to talk to Kaida. Anyway how about you two show us around the school. The professor said that Kaida and I need to get our uniforms as street clothes are not allowed."

Hilary blushed as she spoke quietly, "I wish you could wear your street clothes all the time."

Tyson blinked and Kaida laughed. Kaida was so caught in a fit of giggles that Tyson had to pull her along, as Hilary became redder and redder.

"So Tyson why did Kaida call you `Takao'? I thought your name was Tyson. Is it a nickname that you got at your new school?" Kenny had run up to walk along side Tyson.

"Well Chief, my actual name is Takao. I just go by Tyson because… well lets just say that I didn't really like my father naming me that but I have grown kind of attached to the name and Kaida said that she will not ever call me Tyson as it is not the name that was given to me. But you can all still call me Tyson. I will still answer."

Hilary, who was walking beside Kaida and Kaida tried to stop laughing. "I like Takao. I think it fits you better. I always thought Tyson was a strange name for someone with the last name of Kinomiya."

"Umm… thanks I think Hil," Tyson pushed out the side door and everyone piled through.

"So Kaida I have to ask about your hair," Hilary was now staring at Kaida with a kind of lust.

"What do you wish to know about my hair Hilary?" Tyson smirked. Kaida hadn't been around very many people. Hell she had been around about three people her whole life and didn't know that her appearance was drawing a lot of attention.

"Is it natural or do you dye it?" Hilary was now staring at Kaida so intensely that Tyson was about to say something until Kaida answered and he had to try and stop himself was laughing.

"My hair is not dead! It is healthy!" Kaida placed her hands on her hips and glared at Hilary.

"Hil don't take offence but Kaida hasn't been around very many people before and I don't think she knows what dye is. Kaida dye is a term used when someone changes the colour of ones hair. She didn't mean that your was dead."

Kaida grinned, "Sorry Hilary. No this is the colour I was born with. Is it not natural to have ice coloured hair?"

"Well no. But you do look really different from anyone I have seen before." Tyson looked at Kaida and was finally seeing what Hilary was talking about. She was dressed in a similar fashion as he was. Her hair was a lot longer then his of course but it was pulled back and tied off the same way. Except that she didn't want to wear a jacket and she was wearing a white tank top. She was quiet a bit shorter then Tyson but was a little taller then Hilary. Tyson guessed it was because of the boots Kaida was wearing they did have a heel on them.

Kaida was also getting stares from everyone in the hall. It was making Tyson a little nervous but Kaida didn't seem to notice. His cousin was very beautiful and he wasn't going to let just anyone touch or be near here.

"Guys we should get going to the administration office so you two can change. Did you two register and get your lockers?" Kenny asked as he started to walk down the hall.

"Yeah we got our lockers, schedules, and appointed our homeroom but they didn't give us our uniforms because they wanted us to meet our homeroom professor. Which happens to be the biology professor."

"That is my homeroom teacher Tyson! As well as Max and Kai. Hilary and Rei have the chem Professor as their homeroom." They rounded a corner and were soon facing the admin office. Kenny opened the door and they all walked in.

After about twenty minutes of signing papers and Tyson and Kaida getting the right sizes of pants, skirts, and shirts. They left the office in search of a bathroom that they could change in. Kenny led them around yet another corner and found the washrooms. Tyson walked into the men's and Kaida in the women's.

Tyson came out and looked at himself. He didn't mind the uniform but from being up north and wearing the other clothes he felt a little strange. He was wearing loose fitting black trouser pants. A white pressed dress shirt with a tie. The collar of the shirt had the school logo but other then that it was plain.

Tyson looked up and saw Kenny standing in the hall alone. "Kenny where is Hil and Kaida?"

"Well Kaida came out in a panic about something and Hilary went in to help her."

"In a panic? What could she be in a panic about? Oh! I know," Tyson laughed a little to himself and ignored Kenny's questioning look.

Hilary came out and smiled at Tyson. "You look great Tyson. You sure have `filled out' in all the right spots." Tyson felt his face get hot as he stopped laughing. "Oh and you should see Kaida! She is going to have all the guys in this place drooling." Tyson glared at Hilary and she waved it off.

"I can't believe that girls are suppose to wear this at school. My clothes are far better! And having to wear my hair like this. It feels weird." Kenny turned and was about to say something but stopped dead.

Kaida was standing there in the girl's uniform. She wore a pleated black skirt that was far to short for Tyson's liking. She wore knee high black socks with the school logo on the sides with little ribbons coming from the bottom. She was wearing black strap shoes with a silver buckle. She wore a short-sleeved white dress shirt and her tie matched Tyson's perfectly. Her hair, which Tyson knew was the trouble from before, was now pulled into a high ponytail and her hair was cascading down her back in sheets of ice white blue hair.

Hilary nudged Kenny in the ribs as he was now staring slack jawed and drooling at Kaida. "Right… Right! Now on with the tour!" They stopped at their lockers and after Kaida made some comments about how stupid lockers were, since she couldn't get hers open, they continued on their tour through the school. Hilary and Kenny were pointing at everything telling what everything was. Kaida and Tyson were walking a few steps behind.

"Takao I think we need to finish what we were talking about before." Kaida said without even looking at Tyson.

"We are done talking about it Kaida. They are not going to get involved. We just came back because Gramps told us he needed us and since we finished our training a few months ago we came back. Other then that we are not going to be doing anything."

"Takao you are as stubborn as a dragon! I know I made a promise not to tell the others about what was happening but I can't see you suffer like this. I know you want to be with Kai and need to be. And I could tell by the look on his face that he wants to be with you too. It is my duty to protect you and that means your emotions as well. And if telling Kai and the others about what is going on I will."

"Kaida I told you not to tell anyone and I mean it!"

Kaida grabbed his hand and Tyson felt light headed for a moment as Kaida linked her mind to his. {I know what you told me Takao and I respect that but this is far bigger then any Kinomiya could have thought. The others will help and they are powerful. More powerful then you give them credit for.}

{Kaida if anything ever happened to them or to Kai I will never forgive myself.}

{Takao don't you think that it is their decision to make. At least tell them the truth and they can decide for themselves. You owe them that much. You owe Kai that much!}

"Don't yell Kaida!" Kenny and Hilary turned around and looked at Tyson and Kaida in confusion. "Umm sorry guys please go on. So this is the library?"

Kai sat under the tree pretending to look through his book but he was actually sitting there thinking about Tyson and his mysterious cousin Kaida. Kai didn't recall Tyson ever telling him that he had a cousin. Kai was still trying to get over the fact that Tyson had a brother and now he has a cousin and by what Rei is saying she is very beautiful.

However Kai was more interested in Tyson and will always be interested in Tyson. Kai was so lost in thought that time itself just seemed to slip past, along with the many thoughts that were running through his head.

"Uhmm Kai? Are you coming or not?" Kai opened his eyes and looked into the golden orbs that belonged to Rei.

"What?"

"Class is over and now we are heading to the roof to meet with everyone. I can't wait to see Kaida again. I am so sitting beside her. I just hope that Tyson doesn't kill me." Rei said more to himself then to Kai as he placed his books and notebook back in his bag.

Kai placed his stuff back in his bag and headed off with the others. He was determined to talk to Tyson and that was going to be that. They entered the school and made their way to their lockers to get their next period books and lunches and headed for the roof.

The roof was starting to fill and still no sign of Tyson. The door to the roof opened and out walked Hilary and Kenny. They were both laughing about something as they made there way towards the bladebreakers table. Hilary and Kenny both sat down beside Max as they continued to laugh. Hilary was laughing so much that she was crying and Kenny was grabbing at a stitch in his side.

"Okay what is so funny you two," asked Max as he stared at the two.

"Kaida is so funny! I can't believe she did that!" Kenny managed to say before he laughed again.

"You know Luke right?" asked Hilary as she wiped a tear from her eye.

"Yeah…" Rei leaned closer.

"You know how he likes to hit on another that has breasts and a heartbeat?"

"Yeah…" Rei's eyes started to darken.

"Well I thought at first Tyson was going to kill him but then Kaida she… she hit him!" Hilary started to laugh again.

"What?!" Rei looked at Hilary and Kenny as they laughed again.

"Oh yes Rei and not a slap or anything she full out punched him right in the gut and he went down. Tyson was trying to hold back Kaida but she was yelling at him. I never heard what he said to her to make her that mad but she lost it on him. It was the best thing I ever saw and then everyone started to cheer her on and Tyson took her away to cool down. He said that he would be here in a minute." Hilary wiped her eyes and willed herself to stop crying.

The roof door opened again and out walked Kaida, red in the face, followed shortly by Tyson. Oh my God! He looks even better in his uniform! Keep cool Kai or your going to end up jumping him in front of everyone.

"Kaida I can't believe you did that. I mean if you didn't I was going to but still on the first day." Tyson and Kaida slowly started to walk towards the table.

"Takao I didn't choose to look this way this is how I was born and if little boys can't keep sick comments about my body to themselves then they are going to get hit. I don't see the big deal I didn't get in trouble and it seems that every girl wanted it to happen. So I just did it. I can't take it back and I don't intend to."

"Kaida sit by me," Rei moved over and Kaida smiled at him and sat down. The only spot left open was the on right across from Kai and Kai wanted Tyson to sit down.

Tyson walked over and sat down. Placing his lunch in front of him as he did. "So Tyson do you still beyblade?" Max stated before Kai could even open his mouth.

Tyson looked over at Max and smiled. "Yes Max Dragoon and I still bey battle. Not really for competition anymore though. Kaida and I bey battle for training now." Tyson quickly clamped a hand over his mouth after saying this and looked down at his food. Kai looked from Tyson to Kaida and Kaida was grinning at Tyson knowingly.

"Just for training huh? What about for fun? Or at your old school was beyblading a class of something."

"Yeah Takao why don't you tell them?" Kaida leaned her head on her hand with her elbow on the table as she looked at Tyson. Tyson glared at Kaida before saying. "It's nothing Max I just don't beyblade like I used anymore."

After that Tyson didn't talk very much and Kai could tell that he was thinking of something. His eyes were glazed over and his brow was furrowed. Kai looked down the table and saw that Kaida had the same look on her face as Rei tried to talk to her.

Suddenly music started to play right behind Tyson and he yelled in pain as he clamped his hand over his ears. Kaida yelled as well and covered her ears. The music was blaring and Tyson squeezed his eyes closed.

Kai stood up and walked over to the boom box and shut it off. "Stop that noise this instance!" Kai glared at them and they didn't say a word as Kai walked back over to Tyson. Kai pulled Tyson to his feet and lead him away from the table and towards the door back down to the school. Once inside Kai pulled Tyson's hands away from his ears and whispered.

"It's alright Tyson we are alone and its quiet." Suddenly Tyson fell into Kai and wrapped his arms around his chest. Tyson was shaking and whispering for the ringing to stop.

"Tyson are you okay?! Please Tyson answer me?" Tyson slowly pulled back and looked at Kai.

"Kai?" Kai looked deep into those beautiful midnight blue eyes and was instantly lost. "Kai… no I can't." Tyson tried to pull away but Kai grabbed his hips and made him stay.

"I lost you once Tyson and I don't intend to loss you again."

Tyson pushed against Kai trying to escape. "You don't understand you can't be near me. I can't let them know you mean something to me. I can't!"

"Let who know? Tyson no one and nothing is going to come between us again. I am keeping you from now on. And no force on this earth is going to stop me."

Tyson looked up into Kai's crimson eyes and before Kai could even move Tyson leaned up and kissed Kai hard on the mouth as he wrapped his arms around Kai once move. Tyson pulled away as a single tear ran down his cheek.

"Kai please don't say things like that. I can't take it. I need you so much but I can't let them see that. If they take you from me I would never forgive myself. If you got hurt I…"

Kai leaned down and captured Tyson's lips in a kiss that had three years in the making. Kai could feel Tyson go limp from it and grabbed onto him as he sucked Tyson's bottom lip into his mouth and nibbled it a little bit before letting Tyson go. Tyson's eyes were glazed over and he was breathing heavily.

"Kai… I need you but…" Kai leaned down and kissed Tyson again before he could finish his sentence. Tyson moaned into the kiss and Kai thrust his tongue into Tyson's mouth and thoroughly tasted every inch of Tyson's mouth.

Tyson rubbed his tongue against Kai's and it was instantly a battle for dominance. Kai released Tyson for much needed air. "Tyson I have been waiting three years to taste you again. And if it is possible you taste even better."

Tyson grabbed onto Kai's shoulders to steady himself as their eyes locked again. "Kai please listen to me. I," Kai leaned down again and Tyson pushed away, "We have to stop this. They could be watching. I have been waiting for three years as well but they will use you against me I can't let that happen. Oh god Kai! If anything happened to you! My mind has been thinking about this for three years!"

"I love you, Tyson!" Kai yelled before Tyson could say anything else. Tyson just stood there silent as he let the words sink in. Kai cupped Tyson's face as tears started to run down his face. Then suddenly Tyson's eyes went blank and rolled into the back of his head. Tyson let go of Kai and started to fall. "TYSON!" Kai fell to the ground as he caught Tyson's limp form.

Kai brushed his hair out of his face. He was sweating and was cool to the touch. "Oh God Tyson! Please open your eyes! Tyson! Wake up, please wake up!"

"I was afraid this would happen but I must say that I am not surprised that it did." Kai looked up and saw Kaida standing in the doorway. She closed the door and walked down the stairs and knelt down beside them.

"What are you talking about? What is wrong with Tyson? Why did he collapse?" Kai pulled Tyson closer.

Kaida placed a hand on Tyson's forehead and her eyes glassed over. For a few moments Kai sat in silence as Kaida did something to Tyson. Tyson moaned and rolled into Kai's warmth. Kaida blinked a couple of times as her eyes turned ice blue again. She was breathing pretty heavily. "Well I have helped him as much as I can here. But if I use any more energy they might find us and then they would get Takao without a fight. I must take Takao home. I can help him more there."

"What happened to him Kaida? And what did you do?" Kai pulled Tyson closer.

"Takao's mind was over whelmed and he retreated into the farthest recesses of his mind. And I helped him come back. He is sleeping soundly now but it will be some time before he wakes up. I will take him home now and then he will be fine."

"I will help you." Kai made to stand up but Tyson was a lot heavier then before.

"No Kai I will take Takao home. You finish classes and come to the dojo after school. Please bring our things from those… ermm… metal things in the walls… Kenny told me their names…"

"Umm… lockers?" Kai shook his head when Kaida nodded.

"Takao's locker and mine are on the second floor, number 1189 the number to open it is 34-7-21. I already told the others to come. I am going to tell you all the truth and if Takao gets mad he can take it out on me. I can't stand to see him this way and three years is a long time for him to be this way."

"Kaida Tyson is heavy how are you going to get him home and unnoticed?" Kai watched as Kaida reached over and picked up Tyson, bridal style, and stood up easily. What the!

"This is another thing that I will be explaining at the dojo. Plus what I am going to be doing in a minute. I will be leaving and it won't be a way that you are used to seeing." Kai stood up and cocked an eyebrow at Kaida.

Kaida smiled at Kai and backed away a few feet. She closed her eyes and Kai felt the tiny hairs on the back of neck stand up on end. The wind started to pick up in the stairway. When Kaida opened her eyes Kai gasped in shock. Her eyes were now completely silver and glowing. Her whole body lit up and in a whirl of light and wind she and Tyson vanished.

"What was that?!" Kai stood in the stairway for a few seconds before he turned and walked back up to the roof and towards his table. When Kai returned to the table Rei was instantly all over him.

"Where is Kaida and why did she leave all of a sudden?"

Kai walked past Rei and sat down. "She left with Tyson."

"She left? With Tyson?" Hilary leaned over and looked at Kai. "Is that why she said to go to the dojo after school and she would talk to us there? It was as if she knew something was wrong. It was weird. Remember guys how she said that she felt that there was something wrong with Tyson and that she's going to take him home."

"What? She said that?" Kai glared at Hilary.

"Whoa Kai. I didn't know that she knew something was wrong. She just said that she was sorry and that she needed to help Tyson and that she would see us all after school at Tyson's house."

"She told me that she was going explain everything at the dojo. So I guess we just wait until then." Kai closed his eyes trying to figure everything out and getting nowhere fast. Every answer he thought up about three more questions formed in his head and they all centred around Kaida and these mysterious `they' people.

The last two periods of the afternoon seemed to drag on forever and now Kai and the others all stood outside Tyson's house. Kai could feel that same energy that he felt in the stairway again and he knew that Kaida was doing something to Tyson's mind.

"So are we going in or are we going to just stand here and stare at the house," Hilary placed her hands on her hips and started to tap her foot impatiently.

"I can feel something coming from Tyson's house. It feels very powerful and ancient. Like something has been awakened," Rei stated as he stared to walk towards the house.

Kai sighed as he passed everyone and walked up to the door and knocked. Kai had barely tapped it when it slid open and gramps was standing before them. "Hey little dudes! Kaida said that she was waiting for you. She said that she will be a few minutes and that I am to show you to the training room."

"We know where it is Gramps thanks," Kai walked past gramps and towards the training. He slid the door open and saw a low table with seven teacups set out and pot of steaming tea. Kai walked over and sat down. The others followed and sat down as well.

"Wow I haven't been here in three years and it still looks the same," Max looked around the room, "But the sword is missing…"

Kai looked over his shoulder and saw that the Kinomiya sword was indeed missing. "Oh yeah the family sword was removed about two years ago for its own protection." Everyone looked at the doorway and saw a very pale Kaida standing there.

"Kaida are you okay? You look pale," Rei jumped up and helped Kaida to the table and helped her to sit down.

"Thank-you Rei. It has taken a lot of my energy to bring Takao back but he will be awakening in a few hours time. He will have a headache and will be mad with me because of what I am about to do but enough is enough."

"What are you talking about Kaida?" asked Kenny.

Kaida reached forward and took a sip of tea. "I don't know where to begin Kenny. I have know this my whole life so I don't know what you all know or don't know."

Kai sat up and asked the first of many questions he had for Kaida, "Where did Tyson go three years ago?"

"Alright first have any of you heard of the Ancient Clans of Old?"

Everyone muttered his or her `no's' but Rei shifted slightly and nodded in agreement. "I have heard of these Ancient Clans. I am from one of them."

"WHAT!" Max yelled and everyone jumped. Kaida covered her ears and winced. "How could you not tell me? I thought we were friends?"

"Max I couldn't tell anyone! All members of the Clans are not to tell anyone who is not from a Clan!"

"Please stop yelling…" Kaida was sitting with her hands over her ears and her eyes were filling with tears. "I wish to continue what I was saying."

"Of course. Sorry Kaida."

"That is alright Max but I have very sensitive ears and yelling is not helping since I my listening to Takao's breathing."

"You are listening to Tyson's breathing?" Kenny leaned forward but Kai glared at Kenny and he went quiet.

"Continue please Kaida."

"Thank-you Kai. Since Rei already knows and I know that he cannot break his oath I will explain quickly. The Ancient Clans of Old are people of the elements. There are five different clans though only four are left. The first is the Clan of Water. They are very energetic and very protective. They are known for their strength. The second is the Clan of Earth. They are very wise and trustworthy. They are known for their speed. The third is the Clan of Fire. They are very passionate and yet very quiet and shy. They are known for their fury. And the fourth is the Clan of Air. They are very gentle and some say overly friendly. They are known for their power.'

`Now each Clan has members that choose to live outside their clan. Some like to live in the cities and small towns around everyday people. However because of the oaths that they take at a young age they must return, without letting anyone know, at the peek of their power. This is usually when they are fifteen or sixteen years of age. Now Takao's and my grandfather wished to live in the outside world because he fell in love with our grandmother. But since he took the oath as a child he was bound to it and thus all his children and their children and so on."

"So because of an oath Gramps took, Tyson was bound to it as well?" Kenny leaned forward and was absorbing everything that Kaida said.

"Yes Kenny. So after his bey battle with the android Zeo his powers hit a peak. The Elders thus sent a message to Gramps telling him it was time for Takao to return to the Clan and begin his training." Kaida sipped her tea again and began, "You see Dragoon is the Keeper of Air and therefore is the Lord of the Clan of Air. And since Takao was the one that Dragoon came to he was meant to come back to the Clan."

"So let me get this straight. Dragoon is the Lord of your people and since Tyson was the one that Dragoon came to he had to go back to the Clan and train? But why? I mean he could have trained here and not left?" Max ran his hand through his hair trying to make sense of what he was hearing.

"He could train to be a better bey blader here Max but that is not all that he can do. All members of the Clans have certain abilities that need to be awakened and trained and then honed. We of the Air has a lot of powers and they can be very dangerous if they are let loose and if no can stop them then it could destroy his world. The Air is one of the most powerful elements on his world and since the Air controls the weather, well I think you understand where I am going with this."

"I don't see why Tyson just didn't tell us this in the first place. I mean we were led to believe that Tyson went away for three years to go to some school and that Gramps didn't know when he was coming back. Why didn't he tell us when he got back?" Hilary was in a huff and Kai knew that she was going to start yelling soon and that was the last thing that he needed now. He was finally getting some answers and if she started yelling Kaida would never finish.

"Hilary just listen to what she has to say," Kai crossed his arms and gave Kaida a look that pleaded for her to continue.

"Takao didn't tell any one when he got back because…" Kai watched as Kaida looked down at her teacup as if trying to figure something out.

"NO!" Kaida jumped at Rei's outburst. "You don't mean… You can't… it's not possible…" Rei's eyes widened and became very feline as he reached over and grasped Kaida's hand. "They are coming… back?"

Kaida nodded slightly and Rei paled. "Who are `they'?! I have heard Tyson and you, Kaida, mention them. I want to know who they are and what the big deal about them is."

"They are the nothing Kai. They are a force so evil and so dark that they destroyed the light. The Ancient Ones of Old were able to seal them away but now, somehow, they are been set free and they are going after the Kinomiya."

"The Kinomiya? What do you mean?"

"Each Clan has a family that started it all. The family that were the original creators of the Clans and the creators of the Seal. All the ancient families have long since been dead. Except one. The Kinomiya is the founding family of the Clan of the Air. They are known as the Dragons. And since Takao now has Dragoon as his Sacred Spirit he is the chosen one. He is the prophesied Guardian of Air. And the nothing who call themselves… they are called…"

Rei tightened his grip on Kaida's hand and she took a deep breath. "They are called the Osario." Kaida clamped her hand over her mouth as if she said a bad word.

"What do they want with Tyson?" Max leaned forward and whispered.

"Since the other families are no longer a part of this world their powers were transferred to the next family and so on until only one family was left. Takao now holds all the power of all the families. He alone has the power to seal away the nothing and put a stop to this. But if they get their hands on Takao and make him there's then all we be lost. And the reason Takao didn't tell any of you is because if the nothing found out how much each of mean to him they would come after you and use you against him or use you to get to him. He didn't want any of you to know this because he doesn't want you all involved in something that could put you all in danger."

"So Tyson was just going to do this alone?!" Hilary jumped up and placed her hands on her hips, "I am going to go and give Tyson a piece of my mind right now!"

Suddenly a wind kicked up in the room and blew Hilary back. Kai looked over at Kaida and saw that her eyes were glowing, once again, silver. She tilted her head and Hilary gasped as she fainted. The wind wrapped around Hilary and gently placed her on the floor.

"Hilary!" Kenny jumped up and ran to her side. "What happened?"

"I am sorry Kenny. But I too have a mission and Hilary going into Takao's room to `give him a piece of her mind' would have bothered and maybe even worsened Takao's recovery. I could not allow it to happen."

"You did this?" Kenny pointed at Kaida and she nodded.

"What is your mission Kaida?" Kai asked as he looked away from Hilary.

"I was appointed as the sworn Guardian of the chosen one. Thus I am to protect Takao at all costs. I will never allow anything to happen to Takao that I can stop. But some things need to happen in order for Takao to see the truth of his actions." Kaida smiled at Kai.

She knew that I was going to confront Tyson because of what happened and she knew that he was going to collapse because of his emotional stress that he had been carrying for the past three years. That is why she didn't do anything to stop me in the stairway. She needed Tyson to see that what he was doing to us was wrong and that he needed to tell us the truth.

Kai looked into Kaida's eyes and she smiled at him. Kai cocked his head as he stared into her ice blue eyes. {Can you hear me?}

Kaida nodded and smiled more. {Yes Kai I can hear.}

Kai nearly jumped out of his seat as he heard Kaida's voice in his. {How is this possible?}

{I can hear your thoughts because of your contact with Takao. I do not how much longer I will be able to speak to you without actually mind linking with you but I can talk to now and that is what matters.}

{This is just really strange. What is mind linking?}

{Mind linking is an ancient form of telepathy. But much more powerful. It makes it so that no matter where you are I will be able to hear your thoughts. And with practice you can choose what you wish for me to hear and what you wish me not to hear. But I can feel our time is running out. You need to go to Takao and speak with him. I can tell by his breathing that he will be awakening soon. Go to him. I will keep the others at bay while you do so.}

{Thank-you Kaida} Kai stood up and left the room. He turned the corner and started to make his way towards Tyson's room. I am finally going to talk with you Tyson and you will tell me everything. I need you in my life and I am going to have you!
