Two young boys stood in front of a mansion. One was Five and the other was Four. The older of the two had Red hair and was wearing blue shorts and a orange short sleeve shirt. The younger of the two was wearing black shorts and a light blue short sleeve shirt. The older boy was named Tala and the younger was named Kai.

“Young ones this way.” A tall man said. Tala and Kai followed him inside. “Tala where are we.?” Kai asked as he followed the boy in front of him. “I guess we going to meet your grandfather.” Tala answered. “Right this way children.” The man said as the went into what looked like a study. Kai’s grandfather stood in front of them. Kai was behind Tala. “The one with gray hair is your grandson Master the other one is here at your request.” The man said. “Very well. You can leave now.” Kai’s grandfather said. He walked over to where the two stood.

“Kai could you step forward.” Ka came from behind Tala. “Kai you can go and play outside if you wish later I’ll show you and Tala your rooms.” Kai grandpa said. “Alright” Kai said as he left. Tala eyes followed him out of the door. “Listen to me Tala.” Voltaire said as he approached Tala. Tala looked up at him. “From now on your are to take care of Kai. He is my only grandson and I won’t be able to do so You are in charge of him.” He said.

“I don’t understand.” Tala said. “What it means is your are responsible for him. When he turns nine he will go through a training program that will sharpen his balding skills. You also will attend this program. If Kai shall fail it will because of you. The man that runs the program is named Boris. When the time comes he will tell you all you need to know. Do you understand?” He said. Tala nodded his head. “Now go make sure nothing happens to Kai.” He said. Tala left the office and went out side. Kai was sitting under a tree.

He was playing with so birds and rabbits. í I don’t get it why put us through a training program.ý Tala heard Kai laughing as he was getting closer to him. í I wonder will me both be able to go through it.ý Tala sat next to Kai and looked up the sky. “What’s wrong Tala?” Kai said. “What do you mean? ” Tala asked. “You look like you have something on your mind.” Kai said as a bird landed on his shoulder.

“It’s nothing Kai. I was just wording why my mom and dad would let me stay here.” He answered. “ I don’t like it here.” Kai said. Tala looked over at him. “What do you mean?” Tala said. “It’s not a good place. I feel funny about being here.” He said. Tala watched as Kai took out something from his pocket. “What that?” Tala said “It’s a locket that my mother gave me before I came here. It’s so I won’t forget them.” Kai said. Tala smiled at him.

“We’re here at your grandfathers Kai what don’t you trust.” Tala said. “To be honest him.” Kai said. Tala laid down in the grass. “Kai we have to deal with it Just for a while alright. Tala said. The bird on Kai’s shoulder started chirping. “You want to be free and fly into the wind.” Kai said.

Kai stood up and let the bird go. He smiled as he watched it fly into the clouds. “I don’t know why you like so many animals.” Tala said looking up at him. “I don’t know why but I do.” Kai said as he stood up. “What’s wrong.” Tala said. Kai rubbed his eyes sleepily. He yawned and then he open his eyes.

Tala could see how sleepy he was. “You haven’t slept in awhile have you?” Tala said as he stood. Kai nodded his head. “I’ll take you back.” Tala said. Tala and Kai walked back to the mansion. “Boys I’ll show you your rooms” A maid said. As she took Tala’s hand. Kai was holding the other. After they walked up a lot of stairs the came to a series of doors. “Your is right next to Kai’s Tala. She showed Kai his room and Tala went inside his room.
