Chapter 1: You're Doing What?!?
“Kai you're finally back! Was the team Strong?” Tyson's voice filled the silent room. Lee, Robert, Michael, Tyson, Miguel, Ozuma, and Brooklyn looked at Kai as he walked into the dojo.
“The team Kai and the Blitzkrieg Boys just met is one of the new teams in the tournament. The preliminaries are going to be held in Canada.” Mr. Dickinson said. The boys all nodded their heads. Everyone left to confront their teams as Ray, Max, Kenny and Hilary came in.
“So when do we get to meet them?” Ray asked Kai. Everyone else looked to Kai.
“we have two weeks to practice before we have to leave for their town. But I will be helping the Majestics with training so you will be trained by Tala starting tomorrow.” Kai stated looking at his team.
“Why isn't Tala training the Majestics?” Ray asked. All heads turned from Kai to Ray back to Kai. Kai sighed deeply before closing his fiery eyes.
“Because Tala doesn't get along with Enrique, or Johnny, he can't train the Majestics. Mr. D. asked me to train them and have Tala train you guys. The Majestics, Blitzkrieg Boys and I happen to know that team personally anyways” Kai said.
“How exactly do you know them? I've never heard of any team named Demonic Fangs” Tyson said with Max and Ray nodding their heads.
“WHAT!?!?” All eyes, except for Kai's and Hilary's, turned to Kenny.
“So you've heard of them?” Ray asked.
“Of course I have! They are very famous in England, Russia, Canada, Africa, Romania, and Asia. It surprises me that you have never heard of them. Even Hilary knows about them.” Kenny explained.
“So who are they? Tell us about the team captain. Is he really that good?” Tyson asked.
“I heard that the champion of Romania was on that team,” Max piped in.
“Well…” Kenny started but Kai cut him off.
“Tala can explain everything you need to know about them.” Kai said as the door to the dojo opened. Hiro walked in and motioned for Kai to follow him. They both exited the room and walked down the hall to Hiro's room.
Kai looked around the walls of Hiro's room and noticed the vast majority of pictures were of the same eight girls.
“You recognize those girls don't you?” Hiro asked. Kai nodded.
“Six of these girls represent Canada. Five of them were in a band together and a team representing London” Kai explained.
“They can't stay together for long. I don't know why but Mr. Dickenson has asked me to put them in teams I think could benefit from them. I was thinking of putting the team leader under your care” Hiro said as he sat in his office chair.
“Yeah that'd be great. The team should get to know at least once of them personally. And I'm sure Hilary would like another girl to talk to.” Kai said. Hiro smiled and Kai left.
Kai left early the next morning, he left a note telling Tyson he'd call when he got a chance. He also left Tala a message in Russian. When Tala's flight came in Hiro picked him up and gave him Kai's note.
Tala, I told the team you would give them all the information they needed, Tyson doesn't know that they are all girls - or any of them for that matter - so don't give off too much information. Try to get Kenny and Hilary alone to tell them not to say anything.
Kai
The blade breakers slowly got used to Tala's training schedule. He was a lot more strict then Kai. He was going to go a little softer then he usually would but Kai had told him not to go easy on them. If anything he should train them harder then he would train his own team. Tala sighed for the fourth time that day as Tyson and Max both fell to the floor exhausted. They had just run laps around the forest.
“Tala, Kai said you…would tell us… all we needed to know…about... the Demonic Fangs….team” Max said out of breathe but curiously. Tala looked at the team and smirked.
“Demonic Fangs represent Canada. They are a team of eight but only six of them can actually blade on the team. They train in different areas in the summer. This summer they are training in the U.S., Colorado to be exact. Their past is pretty hard to describe or believe for that matter” Tala explained. He hen told them to get back to training.
Enrique launched his blade, attacking the cans for the hundredth time that day. His blade ripped through the cans easily, tearing them to shreds. Metal flew every where.
“Kai are you sure crashing cans is going to make us stronger? I mean seriously. The Canadian team is strong yes but did they ever crash cans?” Johnny asked.
“Actually they have.” Kai replied simply. It wasn't a secret that Kai `hated' Johnny. Everyone stopped and stared at him; he just kept his eye closed.
“The Canadian team goes back to the basis every time they train. Especially when they update their blades,” a VERY familiar voice said from behind them. They turned around to see Bryan and the Spanish Armada. The Barthez Battalion had changed their name to the Spanish Armada after the whole Barthez incident.
“What are you doing here?” Enrique asked. Enrique glared at Miguel.
“We are here to give Kai something” Mathilda said. Bryan walked down to where Kai was and gave him a book of some sort.
“She wanted me to give this to you right before we went there. We're meeting Tala and the Blade Breakers in the airport. Ian and Spencer should be there the next day with the other four teams” Bryan said. The Spanish Armada had started walking down to where everyone was.
“This isn't her writing though. It's very old.” Kai said after he opened the book. The pages were yellow, the writing was in an ancient language that Kai could barely read, and the writing was in ink. A quill of some sort was used to write on the parchment.
“You'd have to ask her. All she told me was that she wanted me to give it to you right before we left to have the teams meet them.” Bryan said as the other four people approached them.
“Why does the Canadian team go back to the basics every time they train?” Aaron asked Kai and Bryan.
“The team captain has a unique training style. The team trains harder then a team normally do. They train as if the only way to stay in a tournament is if they win every battle. They blade like that too” Kai explained.
Robert invited the Spanish Armada and Bryan to stay with his team and Kai in his Mansion. As the ten teens sat at the round table in Robert's mansion's dinning room, Kai and Bryan explained how the tournament was going to work.
“For the preliminary rounds we are all on our respective teams. After the preliminary rounds were are splitting into multiple teams. We do not get to choose the teams we re going to be on or the roommates we will have.” Bryan replied, his lilac eyes slipping closed.
“As for the locations, we do not know where they planned the tournaments to be held in.” Kai said as he took a sip of his tea.
“What we do know is that the preliminary rounds will be held in Canada.” Bryan finished, his eyes still shut.
“Why Canada?” Mathilda asked as she looked between Bryan and Kai.
“Demonic Fangs are usually known as the international Canadian team. Each member is the champion of some part of a country. One is the champion of Romania, England, and Canada. Another is the champion of New Zealand and Ireland. One is the champion of Brazil; one is the champion of Kenya, I believe, another is the champion of Mexico. One is the champion of Korea, and another is the champion of Australia.” Bryan said in a bored monotone.
“Together they make up the lesser areas of the world. They deserve the right to choose where the preliminary rounds are held. They have for the past six years.” Kai finished off in a bored monotone as well. Everyone looked at both Kai and Bryan. Only Miguel, Robert, and Johnny got that they didn't actually answer the question. That was all that was said about the team or the tournament. Conversations lit up about random things pulled out of thin air and wasted away to thin are. Finally, after what seemed like ages, Claude thought it would be a good idea to get some sleep. It had been two weeks and they had an early flight tomorrow.
With everyone in their beds sleeping soundly, Kai snuck out to the greenhouse, his only light was the moon, and took the journal that Bryan had given to him earlier wit him. Bryan was already in there, as if he were waiting for Kai to come. The two sat against opposite walls neither really wanting to talk about the sad truth. Both boys knew that Voltaire was about to be unleashed upon the world once again. Instead of talking about their present and futures they talked about the past.
“Kai do you remember back before you left us?” Bryan asked looking up at his old friend.
“Yeah back when the girls were believed to be dead and weren't as famous as they are now. I miss those days” Kai said as he looked up as well. Bryan smiled inwardly but Kai saw it just the same.
“I wish things could go back to the way we used to be. Even when we got hurt we were still close. How long has it been since we all got together just to spend time with each other?” Bryan's lilac eyes were an ocean of mixed emotions.
“I don't remember…it been forever though. At least we can count on one thing in this experience” Kai said, his grey eyes a cloud of concern and a bit of sadness.
“That we'll battle them in some part of the tournament?” Bryan asked confused. Kai just smirked.
“That and we'll be able to spend time with them. Now for my question that's bugging the hell out of me: What's with the book?” Kai asked curiously.
“The Book was found in the attic of the mansion that Voltaire used to keep us in. The girls found it by accident when they were forced to clean it out. Spooky was able to read some of it. There was a lot that was in multiple languages.” Bryan answered before looking at his cell phone.
“We should probably get some sleep or the girls will get all moody, emotional, and bitchy.” Bryan said after not getting a reply from Kai. Kai nodded a moment later and the two friends went their separate ways.
The bladers all woke u at the break of dawn and they got to the airport in time to catch their plane.
The bladers all boarded the plane and took their seats. Kai, Bryan and Johnny sat in on row. Robert, Miguel and Mathilda sat in another. Claude, Oliver and Enrique sat in another row and Aaron sat in a row with two girls he didn't recognize.
The girls were about 16, they both looked Japanese, one had dark blue hair with crimson tips and highlights and the other had dark blue hair with purple tips and highlights, her bangs were a lighter blue. The later of the two wore a periwinkle tank top over a light purple baggy T-shirt and her shoes were covered by dark black and purple tripps. She had a heavy green jacket hanging loosely from her shoulders, unzipped. Her light blue bangs framed one side of her face and covered the other. Her hair was in buns. The former of the two wore a black skin tight long sleeve shirt, an orange skin tight T-shirt, a lime green tank top and black and red tripps. Her hair was in two braids behind her shoulders. Her bangs loosely framed her face. The girl with midnight blue hair had sunglasses on whilst the other had transition glasses. Kai and Bryan were talking softly in Russian.
“Bryan do you miss it? Do you miss being together with everyone in the abbey?” Kai asked curiously.
“Honestly yes. I do miss it. Well to an extent. I don't miss the beatings, rapes and annoying training schedule. I do miss protecting the girls from the dangers of the abbey. I miss their cooking, when they had nightmares and the way they tended to our wounds.” Bryan replied. He was going to say that they were a little more courageous and stronger then the boys but he didn't want to sound weak.
“It's odd but you remember that when we were younger and in the abbey, how they never cried in front of us even when we cried in front of them?” Kai asked looking at Bryan.
“Yeah I still think they deserved better treatment from us. All of us pretty much acted like they were like the other boys in the abbey. Didn't help that they kept their hair either short or in your sister's case hidden.” Bryan replied. The two Russians kept talking about their past and catching up.
An hour and a half later the plane touched the ground of the airport. After the ten teens got off the airplane went to get their luggage they saw the blade breakers and Tala waiting for them. Aaron looked behind his shoulder to see the two girls talking to another girl. The three girls started to walk towards them. Tyson was the first to actually notice the three girls. He seemed to recognize them
“Rei! I thought you lived in Romania! Lyla did you bring her here?” Tyson exclaimed. Hiro turned around right as the three girls approached. The two named girls hugged both Tyson and Hiro. One of the named girls was the third person. She had midnight blue hair with black tips and highlights. She wore a dark green tank top, an unzipped brown jacket and dark green cargo pants covered her winter boots.
“I do…” the girl with midnight blue and crimson hair said. Her companion gave her a look of disapproval. The girl just looked at her with a smile.
“Tyson who is this?” Max asked confused.
“This is Lyla,” Hiro said as he gestured to the girl in green. “And this is Rei” he said gesturing to the twin of Lyla. They both greeted the teens in their own way. Rei bowed and Lyla curtsied. Both were trying to be as proper as they could manage, which for Rei was a very difficult thing to do. Then the three teams turned their attention to the third girl, the only on that went without an introduction.
“This is Kiki. She doesn't say much but she's one killer blader.” Rei said noticing where their attention was. Kiki was getting her and Rei's bags, not really caring that she was being stared at. When she turned around she threw Rei's bag at her.
“I'll be outside waiting for you and the freak show to be done.” She said in Romanian, before walking off towards the entrance.
“What did she say?” Mathilda asked curiously and soft.
“She's waiting outside? In a snow storm?” Lyla asked concerned.
“You know how she is. She never listens to reason and doesn't give anyone a chance to try to talk some sense into her.” Rei replied. Lyla pulled out an orange sliding phone, looked at it and put it away again.
“Rei our ride's here and is very impatient” Lyla said bluntly before hugging Tyson and Hiro and walking off. Rei just rolled her eyes and smiled.
“It was nice meeting you” was all she said before she turned and ran in the direction that both Kiki and Lyla walked in.
“Okay that was weird” Oliver said.
“Yeah that would be our sisters” Tyson said.
“You never said you had two sisters!” Hilary nearly screamed at Tyson.
“You never asked Hilary!” Tyson nearly screamed a bit louder. They were about to start a fight when Hiro and Kai butted in.
“Not in public” Kai said simply.
The sixteen teens and one chaperone left the luggage pick-up and went to the front of the airport. There, a bus waited for them. The bus was going to take them to various places or so they thought.
After they all boarded and got situated on the bus, it left the airport. As the bus parked in front of an old looking mansion, Mr. Dickenson stood up.
“Now I know you thought that we were going to split you into different hotels but we thought it would be easier to get to know the team if you stayed with them.” Mr. D. said as he led them up to the front door. He knocked after they all were up there and waited. The door opened a moment later to reveal a very familiar face.
“King?!?” Max asked disbelief evident in his voice.
So there you go. That's about ten pages so be happy. Sorry I took so long to type it p been kinda busy. Tell me what you think, any advice, plot twists, ideas anything you can think of that would help the story. I love your reviews. Now why did I put king in there? Because he's so fun to make into a scared little puppy. Okay so until next time. Actually preview:
“No way…I thought the Demonic Fangs had at least three guys on the team…” Tyson said in disbelief.
“Ha that's funny. They've always been an all girls team. Didn't you d your homework Tyson?” King said hummer evident in his deep voice. The eight girls laughed.
“King play nice…he's not a smart cookie” Kiki said.
“Oh leave my baby brother alone” Rei said a smile still on her pale face. Again the eight girls and King laughed.
I'll update as soon as possible. Maybe tonight. Maybe tomorrow. I have some sort of illness so I have time in my hands
