Chapter 9: Weird Events Begin

 

The next morning Selest woke up and darted out of bed. She ran out of her door and right into Ray, who was about to wake her up, and causing both of them to fall. Ray wound up on his back and Selest on top of Ray. Michel and Speed walked out seeing them in that position and Michel smirked alittle. Selest looked at her brother and quickly got off of Ray muttering, “I'm sorry.” Ray stood up and looked at her saying, “No it's alright it was an accident any way.” Selest nodded and walked past Ray and to Storm's room. See sat down on the floor by the head of the bed and started petting Storm on the head. Selest looked at the bandages that seemed to cover all of Storm's body and was still beating herself up for what happened. She looked up when she heard the door open and saw Ray and Drigger in the door way, Ray holding save and Drigger bandages. Selest stood up and moved away from the bed some knowing what they were about to do.

Ray walked up to the bed and took a pair of scissors from his pocket to but the bandages off. Ray started cutting the bandages off then when he was finished he saw that most of the burns had healed and the fur was starting to grow back in. Ray looked over at Selest saying, “Well Storm is going to be fine she doesn't need to stay bandaged and all but the minor burns have healed.” Selest sighed and walked over to him and Drigger, petting Drigger when he walked over to her, and looked at Ray saying, “Thank you for helping her Ray.” Ray smiled alittle and was about to say something when Selest kissed him on the cheek. Ray blushed alittle saying, “It was nothing really.” They both heard a laugh and looked to see that Storm had woken up and was looking at the two. “Storm your awake,” said Selest and wrapped her arms around Storm's neck since it was the only place that hadn't been burned.

Storm looked at Selest muttering, `I sorry Selest I couldn't beat him.' Selest shook her head, “it's not your fault Storm he was a strong bitbeast you wouldn't have been able to.” Storm opened her mouth to say something when Drigger cut in saying, `It's not your fault alright I mean Flash Leopard is as strong at Dragoon.' Strom shook her head alittle and Drigger walked up to her. Ray smiled and took Selest's arm saying, “Come on lets go.” Selest nodded her head and she and Ray walked out of the room. Drigger nuzzled Storm's neck saying, “It's not your fault you lost the important thing is that you're alright and will be on your feet soon. A few minutes later Ray's phone started ringing while he was talking to Selest. Ray answered it and heard Max say, “You have to help us Hillary is totally freaked.” “Why is that Max?” asked Ray. “She just found out she's pregnant, I know her and Tyson were getting married next year but Hillary wasn't planning this,” said Max. “Oh I see,” said Ray. “What's wrong Ray?” asked Selest. “Hillary is pregnant and is up set,” said Ray. Selest stood up and grabbed her coat saying, “Tell Max I'm on my way so I can talk to Hillary.”

Ray nodded and talked to Max saying, “Selest is on her way to talk to Hillary.” “Alright tell her to hurry,” said Max and then screamed. “What was that?” asked Ray. “Hillary just threw a book at Tyson and nearly hit me,” said Max. Just as Selest was about to walk out Strom walked out of her room, with Drigger's help, and said, “Please let me come with you Selest.” Selest just shook her head saying, “No your still to hurt you're staying home.” Before Storm could say a thing Selest walked out of the door and down the street. Selest took her shades out of her pocket, putting them on then kept walking down the street, not noticing the two people in the shadows. Selest walked past the two and one stepped in front of her. “Um could you please move I have to get somewhere before a few friends of mine become patchiest in a hospital?” asked Selest. “We will as soon as you give us the tiger born in darkness,” said the other walking behind her.

Selest's eyes widened knowing they were talking about Storm. “I'll never give you Storm she's my bitbeast and friend,” snapped Selest. “Bad move little one,” said the one in front of her. He looked at the one behind her saying, “So Mystic shall we make her give us the tiger?” Mystic nodded her head saying, “Why yes Griff lets.” They both smiled at her and Griff ran at Selest. Selest moved to the left avoiding Griff but wound up getting stabbed my Mystic in the right shoulder. Selest winced and turned around punching Mystic in the face, breaking her nose. Griff grabbed Selest and cut her down her left arm. Selest screamed in pain and Mystic punched Selest in the back and kicked Selest in the back of both knees. Selest fell to the ground and Griff took his knife cutting Selest a crossed her face. Selest screamed out in pain again and yelled, “I don't have Storm with me leave me alone please!” Both Mystic and Griff smiled and Griff sliced Selest left leg from the knee down. Mystic took her sword out and cut Selest's left should before sheathing it. Mystic and Griff turned and left Selest to bleed.

Selest waited until the two were out of sight before she stood up. Selest started walking back to Ray's, falling a few times. Selest was breathing hard and bleeding bad when she finally got back to Ray's. She barely was able to knock on the door once before she fell to the ground. Ray opened the door and saw Selest on the porch covered in blood. Ray hurried and picked Selest up then ran to his car yelling over his shoulder to Drigger, “Call Michel and the others and tell them I'm taking Selest to the hospital!” Drigger nodded his head and ran to do what he was told. Ray got Selest into the car and speed off the hospital. When he got there a nurse rushed Selest to the OR with a doctor right behind her and a few minutes later the rest came there. Ray told them what happened to Selest, what he knew so far, and that Selest was in the OR. When the doctor came out and told them Selest would be alright but she would need a lot of bed rest. They all nodded to the doctor and waited to be told they could see Selest.
