AU: I'm sorry to all those who like this fic, but this will be the last chapter of this story. For now at least (maybe). I'm leaving for a trip to Paris soon and I won't have the time to write another chapter. But I will think of a new story as soon as my muse comes back… I still have to find it…. Hope you enjoy the chapter though.

Past if Painful: Chapter 9

The next morning, Tyson woke to find himself in his bed. An arm was wrapped around his waist and his head was lying on someone's chest. He looked up to find the peaceful and asleep face of Kai.

Both of them were wearing a pair of boxers each and Tyson had on a t-shirt that reached his knees.

For a while, Tyson wondered how he had gotten to back to his hotel room and bed. He knew that he had fallen asleep while watching the fireworks. He also remembered that he had finally given the supposedly 'cold' leader a chance, therefore allowing himself to get close to Kai. Then he remembered falling asleep on Kai's shoulder. He had a brief memory of Kai cuddling him close; while he was half asleep, but did not know whether had had been a dream or reality.

Kai must've carried him back. Knowing how Kai had changed since Tyson had become a chibi, the Bladebreaker leader wouldn't have let anyone else do the job of carrying him back t the hotel room.

A soft touch on his cheek made him aware of his surroundings once more. Tyson brought his eyes up and saw that Kai had woken up, and had set his own gaze at the blue-haired boy.

Kai continued to stroke the soft cheek, marvelling slightly at it's smoothness and softness. One arm was pulled around Tyson's waist, keeping the blue-haired angel in his grasp. In his eyes, he begged for Tyson not to move away, to accept his touch. And to his surprise, the dragon did. Tyson moved closer, bringing his own arms to wrap around Kai. He snuggled his face into Kai's firm chest, sighing softly as two strong arms wrapped around him.

They stayed like this for a while; Tyson wanting to go back to sleep and Kai just wanting this moment to last forever.

"Do you really love me?" Tyson suddenly asked, bringing his head up so that he gazed into Kai's crimson eyes. He wanted to know that the Bladebreaker leader was speaking the truth and not telling him a lie. And despite the fact that many people saw no emotion in those cold crimson eyes, Tyson could tell how Kai felt sometimes, often being able to read through the cold exterior.

Kai looked into Tyson's eyes, finding himself drowning in those deep pools or blue. His hand never stopped rubbing Tyson's back as he replied his angel. "Yes. I do love you Tyson."

The dragon's eyes filled with tears of joy and he hugged his phoenix tightly. Warmth spread through his body as Kai held him just as tightly as well, both acting as if they would never let go of the other, which they wouldn't.

"I love you too…" Tyson said, his face muffled in Kai's strong chest. Then quickly, he reached up to place a chaste kiss on his love's lips. The phoenix was startled and pulled away slightly, until he saw the expected rejection and pain in Tyson's eyes. He smiled gently; trying not to frighten the boy then leaned in slowly to place his own gentle kiss upon the smaller boy's soft lips.

His tongue slowly ran around Tyson's bottom lip, sucking on it slightly. Then he felt Tyson gasp, the tiny mouth opened, allowing his access to the moist cavern that was Tyson's mouth.

Tyson moaned slightly and his tongue shyly slipped to touch Kai's. The Bladebreaker leader found it cute and played along with him, touching and the hiding away each time. Finally Tyson found enough courage and ran his tongue along Kai's eliciting a groan from the older boy.

Kai rolled over so that his legs were between Tyson's slightly spread legs and his arms were on both sides of his dragon's face. He broke the kiss for half a second then his lips were over Tyson's once more.

Tyson was a bit scared, but he knew that Kai would never hurt him, so he allowed himself to be underneath. He wove his fingers into Kai's hair, enjoying the softness and silkiness of each strand.

Soon the two were out of air once more and Kai decided to move his attentions someplace else. He placed a tiny kiss on Tyson's pert nose, smiling as he saw Tyson flush pink. Then he moved his lips down to a smooth pale neck. H e kissed the side of Tyson's throat, grinning as he saw Tyson shiver. Then he nuzzled the smooth throat and without a warning, bit gently into the skin.

Tyson cried out, having not expected that Kai would bite him.

Kai suckled onto the spot gently, soothing the younger boy with his gentle movements. "Sorry Tyson… I didn't mean to hurt you…" He murmured.

Tyson smiled slightly as his fingers brushed the hair from Kai's face. "It's ok… I just... wasn't expecting that. He placed a butterfly kiss upon Kai's lips, accepting his apology.

Kai grinned inwardly and wrapped his arms around the boy in a protective embrace, deepening the kiss. He felt Tyson flush beneath him and one hand sneakily slipped under the t-shirt the smaller boy was wearing, gently caressing the chest underneath.

The dragon let out a tiny moan as Kai's long fingers brushed his nipples. Wiggling slightly, Tyson managed to make Kai get off him and with a tiny smile he reached to take the shirt off.

Kai watched, barely able to keep his hands off the tantalizing body before pouncing gently on his prey.

The t-shirt was thrown off the bed as Tyson and Kai kissed, chest-to-chest. When they pulled away, Kai trailed one finger down a long scar. "Ty…. Tyson, can I… may I have you, please?"
Tyson wasn't shocked at this request. He himself wanted Kai to finish what he had started, yet… he didn't want to feel the pain again.

His brain flashed around and he finally decided that he would bear the pain once more, just because he loved Kai so much. He slowly and Kai brightened. A long passionate kiss was placed on Tyson's lips as Kai trailed his hands down his sides; pass a ticklish spot that the older boy filed away for future reference - and to the top of the dark blue boxers. He slowly pulled them down, placing a kiss on Tyson's bellybutton.

From the side drawer, he took out a tiny tube, ignoring the little voice in his head that wondered how it got there in the first place and secondly how he knew it was there. After coating his fingers with the gel, he reached to give Tyson a kiss and rubbed his tiny entrance before slowly sticking one finger in.

Tyson gasped loudly as he felt the digit prod his insides. "What-what are you doing?" He asked when Kai pulled away. "Preparing you." Kai answered. "It's to lessen the pain."

"Oh…" was all Tyson said. Then he smiled and hugged Kai. No one had even done that before, preferring to take him dry. "Thank you…"

Kai kissed him deeply once again and placed his second finger in Tyson, making sure to stretch as much as he could without causing Tyson pain. He reached further searching for one spot where-

A light "eep" came from Tyson and the phoenix knew that he had found it. One last finger and he was done. "Are you sure?" He asked, pulling away to look into the beautiful blue orbs.

A nod and Kai coated himself before slowly pushing himself into the tight ring of skin. Even having been used so many times in the past, Tyson was still as tight as ever, making Kai moan until he was finally all the way in. He reached over to brush the stray bangs from Tyson face and noticed the blue-haired angel's eyes tearing up.

"I'm sorry, Ty." He said sad. But Tyson grinned up at him. "It doesn't hurt much." He said.

Kai gave him a confused look. "Then why are you crying?" He asked.

Tyson couldn't tell him that he was crying because Kai was finally in him and that he had wanted this for years. Instead he just replied. "Because I love you."

Kai smiled, something that he wouldn't do in anyone else's presence. "I love you too." Then he decided that Tyson was relaxed enough and he drew out slowly before pushing back in just as gently. He did so a few times, each time brushing against Tyson's prostate, making the other boy gasp and moan with pleasure.

Finally Kai could feel himself coming and he gently slammed into his angel's body one last time, stroking Tyson with one hand and they both came together, calling each other's name. Kai pulled out, falling beside the dragon. He already missed the warmth that Tyson had but his energy was spent. Wiping the essence from Tyson and his stomach, he pulled a half-asleep Tyson into his arms, giving the boy a butterfly kiss on the cheek.

Kai pulled the covers over them both. "Sleep Ty." He whispered, stroking the soft cheek before him.

Tyson snuggled up against Kai. "…what 'bout the others?" he asked sleepily.

"Don't worry about them" Kai murmured. "Just sleep."

"….m'k" The blue haired angel said before falling asleep. Kai grinned, enjoying the view. He watched over the boy, not as tired as he thought.

"I love you Ty." He finally said, resting his chin over Tyson's head. "An I'll protect you from everyone. No one will never hurt you again."

"Awww…" Max said, peeking into the room. "They're just so cute together!"

"Sh!" Kenny whispered from below. " Not so loud. Kai might hear."

"NAH! He's sound asleep, see/?" The blonde said, pointing to the two figures in the bed.

"He won't be if you talk any louder." Kenny warned.

"Let's just get some food before they do wake up and Tyson eats it all okay?" A voice from behind said, scaring both of them out of their wits.

"RAY!"

Ray gave his famous cat fanged-grin as he hauled both younger boys up from the ground and proceeded to walk to the door, stopping only at Kenny's pleas to bring Dizzy along.

Then they walked out, chatting and leaving Tyson and Kai the privacy of the hotel room.

Kai smiled in Tyson's room. "Thanks…guys…" He said to the air in the room. Of course he couldn't say it to their faces; what would everyone think? It'd damage his reputation.

He tightened his grip on Tyson's waist and finally fell into a deep slumber. 'And thanks Dranzer and Dragoon…'
