Hello. Do you know what life is? I don't. I don't even know what I am. They have kept me in this dormant state for 14 years now. That is my whole life's story. I'm 14 years of age. I have never opened my eyes to see the New World. I want to. I can't. They won't let me. I want to walk on the sand of the beach and taste the sweet sensation of Ice cream, but they won't let me. I want to be free, but they say no. They consider me as a dysfunctional unit.

Do you know why they say that? It's because I am used as a super computer for storage. I know everything that goes on around me. They just don't know it. I know how to get out of this place. I am too weak to try. I have not moved an inch on my own. I don't know if I can. All I know is how to think and think fast. I'm smarter then anyone on the planet. I know everything and any thing that anyone has ever known. It's just how I am. Ever sense I was born I've been this way. If I had a chance, I would have been walking by the first month of life. Instead, I was stuck in this prison. All because I do not possess the “qualities” of the perfect specimen. They say I was going to be some sort of living breathing computer. I don't believe them. Not one little bit.

A day or two ago the place I had been kept in was blown up. I was injured, but that was not the point. Someone saved me. I don't know who but who ever it was… Let's just say I'll owe them my life. If they hadn't come, I don't think I would have ever seen daylight. Not that I've seen it yet. I'm not even sure if I left the building. I still have the wave-syncing visor on so for all I know I'm in a new place that does the same thing. The last thing I remember after the searing pain in my leg and arm was someone picking me up bridal style and walking away with me.

I have no name. I have no life…yet. I will find out what I really am. Then I'll be fine. You see, the one thing I don't know, is exactly what I am. I don't know what my exact purpose is. I don't know anything about my self. I only know everything about other people. I know how the terrorists blew up the Twin Towers. I know how the pyramids were built. I know how to build a space ship and fly to the moon. I just don't know what I am…

“She should be able to see in a few minutes.” A mans voice said. “I had to put tinted glasses on her because I wasn't sure if her eyes could or would adjust to the light.”

“Good idea.” Another man said.

“I hope she isn't scared of us when she does wake up” A woman's voice said.

“That would be a bad thing.” They all laughed.

“Oh leave the poor girl alone. She hasn't seen anyone before so I doubt she'll really be scared.” Another woman said.

“That's more of a reason to be scared then happy. Just imagine what it would be like to have no memories. I'm sure that would be fun.” A man said.

“She has memories. In fact she's smarter then any of us here. I doubt that you would under stand that being so stupid and all.” A guy said.

I could hear them all. They were so joyful. At least, that's how it sounded.

“And you know this how?” A guy from before said.

“I'm smarter then you.” The guy said. They all laughed again.

I wanted to see them. I wanted to move. I wanted to know.

“Alright, alright. I get it.” The other man said in defense.

There was a funny sound. It seemed to be getting closer…

“Hmm… I think she is waking up…”

I tried to move my eyes. To see… To know what they really looked like.

“Her eyes are moving…”

Suddenly light poured into my mind. Was this the world?

“And we have lift off!”

I shut my eyes almost instantly. It suprized me how much my eyes needed to adjust.

“Okay… Lift off and crash…”

I tried again. This time I opened my eyes slowly. I could feel my eyes strain to adjust.

“Lift of once again!”

After a few seconds the light dulled. Everything was fuzzy but none the less there.

“Wow. Violet eyes.”

I was suprized. My vision adjusted quickly. So quickly that I could make out everyone.

“No. They're more silver.”

There was a man with blonde hair at my right. His blue eyes danced with excitement.

“You gotta be kidding me! They're blue! I don't know what you guys are on.”

Next to him a blonde woman stood. She stared at me with curiosity.

“You people are delirious! They're white! Wait… How can they be white?”

A young boy stood at the end of the bed I had been placed on. He was kinda strange looking.

“They not white stupid! Johnny what the hell are you thinking!?”

A young woman stood to my right. She was staring angrily at the strange looking boy.

“Would you idiots just calm down!”

A man stood at the left corner of the bed. His red hair and icy blue eyes stood out from the others.

“Someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning…”

I wanted to tell them to stop. They were so loud. I tried to talk. I knew it would be hopeless.

“Eh… Eh…”

Everyone looked at me suddenly and stopped their bickering.

“Eh…I…”

My throat burned. I knew I couldn't do it. But I still had to try.

“I… ham…am…plea…zed… o…to… me… et… o… all”

I closed my eyes and took in a long breath. That probably sounded pretty corny…

“Don't talk. You'll only make it hard on your self.”

The blonde woman on my right looked at me. She placed her index finger over her mouth.

“I-“

The red hair man stopped me.

“She's right. Don't talk yet.”

I stopped talking and looked at him oddly. I want to talk. I have to say something. Meanie…

“Alright everyone out.”

He looked at the others sternly. They all silently left the room. He walked over to my left side.

“If you strain your self you'll regret it later.”

He knelt down out of my vision. His hand appeared and tilted my head to the side for me.

“I-“

Again, he stopped me.

“Like I said don't strain your self.”

Meanie…

“I-“

He stopped me again…

“Stop.”

I won't give up!

“Am.”

Oh scary… He can glare…

“You're going to hurt your self.”

Oh shut up and let me finish!

“Cur…ous… air… where… am… I?”

HA! I got it out! BURN! HAHAHA…ehehee…

“You don't have to worry. You're safe. I am Tala. I rescued you from…”

I closed my eyes. Thank god. Now to move… Oh joy…

“Are you still awake?”

DUH… oh right my eyes… Open says me!

“Yeah”

Ow! My throat hurts. This is annoying… grrrr…

“Your throat hurts doesn't it?”

Oh don't ask me questions I have to answer!

“Yeah…”

I nodded… Wait… I MOVED? YAY!

“You can move? Well I guess the doc was wrong…”

I can move! I can move! WHEEEE! Happy, Happy!

“Well this is a surprise…”

HAZA! I can do it! Who-d-man? Who-d-man? I am! I am!
