Chapter 3 Life isn't always fun
The lone figure walked slowly in the pouring rain while her hands were tightly wrapped around herself. Her tears mingled together with the rain, which hit her face so gently.
It was an accident, she kept telling herself. The young girl had a destination - an end to her mindless walking. The hard pavement was replaced with the soft feel of grass. The small path she was walking on was memorized clearly in her mind.
Her teary ruby eyes looked up. Small tears ran down her cheeks when she read what was written on the gravestone.
The Unknowns' grave
This grave was for all the people who either wished to be buried anonymously or for some reason didn't have a name.
It was an accident, she repeated again. The doctor had advice her not to blame herself for the death.
"It could have happened anyway," the doctor had told her, "Sometimes the body rejects the growing fetus if there is something wrong!"
She was sure that the doctor had said it in good faith, as a way to comfort her. But still, she would have liked to be the one who made that decision herself.
She wiped few of her tears away with the back of her hand.
She didn't even know that she had been pregnant.
It was hard to deal with these emotions on her own, and in the end she had broken down in front of her mother. She told her what had happened. To her surprise her mother didn't respond with yelling and curses, as she had feared, instead she had wrapped her arms around her soothing - and telling her that everything would be all right.
Hilary smiled. She didn't what she would have done if her mother hadn't been there for her.
Because, if she told anyone of her friends, then she would be left with questions she didn't want to answer.
Like...-
Who the father was?
Hilary sat down on the ground and just stared at the gravestone.
----
She remembered her first night with Kai, how lost and needy he had been, how he promised her that they would continue their friendship after this night and wouldn't suddenly start to avoid her…hate her. Hilary smiled weakly at the memory and tears started to come out from their hiding once again
He had kept his promise to her.
He did treat her as his friend.
…in the daytime.
#Flash Back#
It was three weeks after their night together Hilary had walked home alone after an exhausting day with Tyson and Daichi and Hilary couldn't wait to relax in a nice warm bobble bath. Her mother would be working tonight and was first home in the morning. She opened the door and let out a gasp of surprise when she saw Kai standing in her living room.
“H-how did you get in?” Hilary had asked him. Kai didn't say anything and was just standing staring at her with his penetrating crimson eyes, Hilary was as caught in them. Slowly he walked towards her and stooped when he was standing directly in front of her. He lifted his hand and brought it down to gently caress Hilary's cheek. Hilary stood numb she didn't know what to say, what to do as his hand moved down and traced the outline of her lips.
Finally she managed to find her voice.
“K-Kai w-what are you doing?” she asked with a trembling voice.
“Shhh” came the short reply from Kai. His eyes gazed deeply into Hilary's ruby ones as if he was searching for something he couldn't find within himself. Hilary had no time to react or respond when Kai suddenly leaned down and gave her a small kiss on her lips. When she looked at him again she saw him looking at her with a new fire burning in his eyes. She had no courage to object when Kai took her by the hand and lead her up the stairs to her room.
#Flash Back End#
It continued like that for two months. On different nights he would show up and they would be together for the night. Never did he give her any indication that he liked her in that way she liked him. And then he left for Russia.
Mr. Dickenson had announced that the World Championship would take place in three months after the preliminaries and Kai, Ray and Max left to compete with their own teams. Tyson had been ok with it this time, and couldn't stop talking about battling the others again. Mr. Dickenson also announced that the new `thing' this year would be instead of six teams entering the championship there would this year be eight teams battling, and everyone was this year looking forward to a championship without any problems like there had been in the previous years and of course with the whole BEGA issue.
Then, seven weeks after Kai's departure to Russia, the accident happened. Hilary had been on the way to her doctor because she had experienced irregularity in her periods. Suddenly a beyblade out of nowhere hit her lower stomach with such force that she felt backwards down on the hard pavement. She squeezed her eyes in pain. Some by passing people and the blader, who was around her age, came to help her to her feet. The black haired blader who had launched the beyblade at her had kept apologizing to her as the helpers carried her away. But all Hilary had registered was the pain that had taken over her body. What she never saw was the evil grin that took over the boy's face while his blue eyes turned into a shade of gray steel. He had walked pleased away now that he had done his master's bidding.
----
The rain continued its soft journey down to earth, but Hilary paid no attention that she was almost soaked to the bone. She kept staring at the gravestone.
“Hilary darling?”
Hilary turned her head round when she heard her mother's voice. Her mother was standing holding an umbrella in one hand and the other Hilary's raincoat. Hilary stood up and walked into her mother's waiting embrace. Her mother's arms tighten around her as she once again cried her grief out.
“Are you feeling better?” her mother asked. Hilary responded by nodding her head. Her mother kissed the top of her head. “That's good Hilary. The ways to get through your grief is to let yourself feeling it… and to never forget.” Hilary looked up at her mother with teary eyes, her mother smiled down at her “I'll always be here for you Hilary…no matter what” she said softly.
They started walking out of the cemetery. Hilary had her raincoat hanging around her shoulders with her mother's arm. Hilary looked up at her mother wondering why she wasn't mad at her.
“Mom” Hilary's mother looked down, “Why aren't you mad at me? I mean…-” Hilary explained further, “… I didn't use any protection and got pregnant,” she said in a low voice. Hilary's mother looked down at her depressed daughter she gave her a little smile.
“Hilary let me tell you something.” Her mother started to say, “Everyone is entitled to do mistakes in their life that is how we gain experience” her mother's voice then turned serious, “Sure, I could be slightly disappointed that you didn't use any forms for protection, but…” Hilary's mother paused for a minute, “But I also know how it is to be blinded by love.” At the last word Hilary rapidly looked at her mother and they both stooped walking.
“Love?” Hilary asked confused. Hilary's mother gave her daughter an amusing smile at her daughter's confusion.
“Don't tell me you don't know. I can tell you in love with him you behave the same way I did when I was with your father” She said smiling. But Hilary only gave her mother a sad expression and slowly the tears started to form again.
“H-he w-will n-never f-feel t-the s-same” Hilary sobbed. Hilary's mother instantly wrapped her arms around her daughter rubbing her back in attempts to calm her daughter down.
“Shhh Hilary, you don't know that” Her mother said comforting. Hilary was crying in her mother's arms.
“I-I-I d-do k-know” Hilary responded still crying her heart out.
“C'mon sweetheart, let's go home and have some nice warm tea all right” Her mother said and took her daughter home.
----
Some hours later Hilary lay in her bed after spending the whole day on crying her heart out to her mother. Her mother was sitting on her bed watching her. Hilary felt as if she was a little girl again, but strangely she liked it.
“So, are you going to tell him about the baby when you see him again?” Her mother asked. Hilary shook her head no.
“Hilary!” her mother started to protest.
“Mom, I don't want him to know…it- it wouldn't matter to him anyway” She finished.
“Hilary, don't say that.” Her mother said and gently stroke her cheek and suddenly smiled an amuse smile making Hilary look at her in confusion. “You know,” she started, “When I met you father, I believed it was love at first sight. He was so romantic and I ended up spending the night with him and when I woke up the morning after…he was gone, but he had left a note saying that he would come back to me. And then later, I found out I was pregnant with you.”
“Oh, y-you have never told me that about Daddy” Hilary said quietly
“Of course not, I only wanted you to have good memories about him” Hilary's mother said and smiled, “ Your grandmother, my mother, wanted me to have an abortion, but I stood firm and said I wanted to keep you, which resulted in her kicking me out of the house till I had come to my senses” Hilary's mother let out a laugh. Hilary just watched her mother with a horror struck face.
“Momma, that's awful!” Hilary spoke out loud. Hilary's mother nodded in agreement.
“Yes, and the reason why we don't talk to your grandmother today” she commented she shook her head and continue, “anyway, your great grandmother took me under her wing, helped me and for instance gave me this house to live in. Then one day when I was seven months pregnant with you, a man showed up out on my door step”
“Daddy?” Hilary asked giving her mother a slight smile. Hilary's mother smiled back.
“Yes, and you should have seen his face when he saw my big belly” She laughed a little, “I was worried about his reaction, but all he did was hugging me tightly and asking me to marry him” Hilary smiled a big smile to her mother who returned it.
“He really loved you Hilary. You were always his little sunshine…his rose…his-”
“Cookie” Hilary finished and lay her head down on her pillow closing her eyes. Her mother smiled down at her.
“Exactly”
Hilary's mother stood up and began to walk out of her daughter's room when she suddenly remembered something. She turned round.
“Hilary, what are you going to do about Kai?” she asked. Hilary opened her eyes a bit.
“End it” she answered quietly and heard her mother close the door.
What ever it was we had, she thought before closing her eyes and going to sleep.

Katerina was not one happy girl. She was sitting on some random bench trying to find out what her next move was going to be. She had already found out that she was in Russia and that she was located in Moscow. But she also knew; because of her sickness that she didn't have energy to a long distant aura search in trying to find Raven, Tyler and Mickey. But she was thankful for that her senses weren't entirely gone, she was going to need what she had left. One of her skills she was very thankful for in the moment was her ability to see peoples' auras- their energy inside her head, and therefore she would be able to recognize the people she knew a lot more easily. And right now, she just saw a lot of strange people passing her.
“What do I do now?” she whispered to herself. White Owl wasn't going to be any help. He loved when she had do deal with unfamiliar things.
All right Kat…think! What did my parents do whenever they were in trouble, she asked herself
Mr. Dickenson, she concluded
And who do you always have to answer to, even after my 18-year old birthday and I finally become an authorized coach, Katerina thought to herself with satisfied with a smirk.
Mr. Dickenson, she concluded again.
All right, find Mr. Dickenson I will. Katerina stood on her feet and started to walk with her blind stick guiding her. And the way to find Mr. Dickenson is to ask in the local BBA office.
----
Three hours later (after having troubles with finding the place)
“Excuse me! Are you saying that the only way I can get to talk to Mr. Dickenson is if I get on a stupid team?!” Katerina yelled out and slammed her hands down onto the table where the BBA official was covering behind.
“Y-yes y-you would have to e-enter the preliminaries h-here in Russia to have c-chance to s-speak to Mr. Dickenson. He is a v-very busy m-man in the moment y-you know.” The BBA official's voice trembled.
Katerina thought for a moment, “Wait, are you saying that I only have to enter and not necessarily win a spot on a team, to have a chance to speak to Mr. Dickenson?” Katerina asked
“Y-yeah” the official answered, still a bit afraid of the blind girl in front of him.
An awkward silence fell upon the place. Katerina could feel it, when she felt the stares from the official and the other BBA workers in the office.
“Well, what are you waiting for? Register me!” Katerina said annoyed.
“Well, um…Miss…ummm”
“What!” Katerina said irritated.
“You're blind”
Katerina let out an annoyed sigh and slowly leaned across the table and grabbed the official by his shirt pulling him in close.
“Listen sir,” she said sarcastically, “I have had a very bad day, and if you look in your little book rules you will see that any handicapped person has a right to enter beyblade battle, given that she or he can launch a beyblade, and that the BBA has to provide he or she with a BBA official as help. In my case, I will need a person to describe how the dish will look like. Now, you can look it up in the rule book or you can just take me on my word sir” Katerina sneered at the official.
The official nodded and stuttered out a “Yes” to her. He turned to his computer and started typing.
“I-I n-need to k-know y-your name,” He asked still stuttering.
“Katerina Hiwa…-” Katerina stooped in time before she blurted out her whole name.
SHIT, I haven't thought about my name, she thought angrily to herself.
“Katerina Hiwa” the official repeated.
“Tachi” Katerina said quickly. The official looked at her for a moment and turned his attention back to the computer and typed while repeating “Katerina Hiwatachi”.

YES I'M DONE WITH CHAPTER THREE (I'm so happy). Well hope you enjoyed it.
And does anyone know what Ray's and F-Dynasty's coaches' names are spelt like. I can't find them anywhere. Thanks for the help
