“My mom and dad…” I swallowed the lump that had suddenly formed in my throat. I wanted to ask him if he killed my parents. For all these years I had believed it was him, but now my curiosity was eating away at me. Did he kill my parents? Did he really come after me? Did I really believe that the man I had loved was my own personal nightmare? “Did… Did you kill them?”

“Did you think that I did?” I barely nodded my head against his chest. I couldn't deny what I had felt. “Is that why you fear my touch?” Again I nodded into his chest.

“Did you?” I wanted a quick yes or no out of him. I could get details later, now I just wanted a straight up answer.

“Of course not.” His words were slow and soft like he was telling a secret. I lifted my head and looked up at him carefully assessing his face. From what I could tell he was telling the truth. I felt so relieved. I acted on impulse and rose up on my tip toes to press my lips against his with my eyes lightly shut. He accepted my kiss and returned my actions with his own.

After a long moment I regretfully pulled away. My body craved his and didn't like me for ending the kiss. I let my calves rest and settled back onto my heels. I slowly opened my eyes to be greeted with his bright arctic orbs. He smiled down at me then lightly planted a kiss on my forehead. I blushed slightly and smiled back up at him. There was always the chance he had lied to me, but I wanted to believe him so I did.

“Shall we go?” His words put butterflies in my stomach, though I didn't know why. I nodded and wondered if any woman kissing him made him turn into a complete gentleman.

He lightly let his arms drop from around my body and took my hands into his own. Slowly he backed out of the bathroom leading me with him by our touching palms. He led me all the way to the hallway door before he left my gaze to push the door aside. Once we were in the hallway he offered me his arm. I wasn't entirely sure of what to do so I guessed and threaded my own arm through the loop he made with his like the female characters in medieval based movies did. Apparently I had guessed right because he shut and bedroom door with his other hand and we started off down the hallway.

As we walked in silence my eyes flicked over to him. I looked him over for once and noticed for the first time his attire. He dressed quiet modestly for a man of his beauty. A white turtleneck framed his upper body with a black vest that cut his body out from our surroundings. The buttons to the vest were undone down his chest showing off the turtleneck and clung to his body like wet fabric. Black dress pants adorned his legs and shiny white shoes closed off his outfit. Surprisingly no medals adorned his body in any form. For anyone who didn't recognize his blazing red hair and cool arctic eyes he was just a beautiful man. He wasn't a manly hansom, though he could probably pull it off if he wanted too. He was the kind of man that could wear anything and look good. He was beautiful.

“What is this meeting about?” I asked idly as I finished observing his wardrobe. He glanced down to me for a second then turned his attention to where we were going.

“The next assault we are to make on the lands that the dark lord has conquered.” I quirked an eyebrow at him curiously. I still didn't know who this damn dark lord was and it was beginning to piss me off. The only thing I had to go off of was the few hints I got. He was going to explain this too me eventually. “But it most likely will end up being a discussion on you and your sister…” His words trailed off making me knot my brows with worry.

“Is there something wrong with my sister?”

Tala didn't reply but kept walking. I was about to pull him off course and against the wall to get an answer out of him, but before I could Tala spoke up.

“I'm sorry for what you are about too see…” I whipped my head around too look at him with startled eyes. What was he sorry for? Before I thought of asking him what he was talking about we were greeted by a man and a woman that stood in front of the meeting room's doors.

“Bryan, I see you've found your present.” I looked at the man Tala had named with a quirked eyes brow. He was the man who had received a child as a gift. He was the one who most likely had Alli.

“Renee, I'm so glad too see you!” The woman approached me suddenly. I took a few steps back trying to avoid her open arms but was caught before I could get very far. I froze in her grasp my eyes wide with fear as she spoke in my ear. “Why didn't you ever tell me you were my sister? Is that why you always took care of me?” I looked to Tala with panicked eyes. Was this what he had apologized for? “What's wrong?” Alli pulled away from me and held me at arms length from her.

I looked over her body in disbelief. A tight black dress completely different from the one I was wearing clung to her form tightly. A slit in the single layered skirt ran up her leg and stopped only at her full hips. Her large breasts were only amplified by the tight dress. I stared gaping at her face for the longest time. Brilliant shimmering silver hair framed her face while waves of longer hair cascaded down her back. The thing that surprised me the most was the two long canines that were peeking out from under her upper lip.

I was too shocked for words. “Renee?” Alli's voice was deep and voluptuous, like a woman's should be, but her innocent eyes stared at me curiously. Horror struck my face, my entire body was rigid and my heart was still.

“Alli?”
