“Tyson, Argent you've got company.” Argent barely heard their grandfather over the shrill sound of metal hitting metal.
“We'll be right down!” Tyson shouted back. Moments later he was on his back his brother's sword at his throat.
“What did I tell you about concentrating?” Argent asked with a small smile at the way his brother was pouting at having lost to him once again. He dropped his sword and reached down to help his little brother up.
Tyson rolled his eyes as he stood up. “We should change before we go down stairs.”
“I already have.” Argent replied smirking. Tyson turned around to see his brother had changed from a pair of low cut jeans to a pair of low riding black leather pants, a black muscle shirt with slits for his wings, black combat boots, and black fingerless gloves.
“Show-off!” Tyson snorted as he started changing his clothes. Tyson was dressed in camouflage pants, a see through black muscle shirt with slits for his wings, plain black gloves, and combat boots.
“Hurry up and braid your hair little brother I'm sure we've already kept our guests waiting long enough.” Argent said giving as close to a grin as he ever got looking rather like a wolf baring its teeth. Tyson rolled his eyes at Argent while braiding his waist length blue hair all the while staring at his brother's ankle length silver mane. They both started slowly downstairs now that everything had been put in its proper place. They padded down the hall and upon hearing their grandpa walked into the kitchen.
“What took you two so long?” he asked laughing.
“You didn't expect us to come down looking like a pair of vagabonds did you?” Argent asked raising one eyebrow.
Grandpa rolled his eyes. “You just like making people wait. Admit it.”
This time it was Tyson who spoke. “Alright so you caught us red-handed.”
“Speaking of our mysterious guests where are they?” Argent asked quietly.
“Waiting for you out back. I sent them there after the first ten minutes of waiting for you!” Grandpa yelled.
Argent took one look at their grandfather's face and headed for the back door. “Come on little brother I think we've made our guests wait long enough.” He said with another wolfish grin. They both walked out the back door not knowing they were about to get the surprise of their lives.
“What is taking Tyson so long? His grandpa said he'd be right out and it's been half an hour!” Tala growled as he paced around the backyard.
“He probably got distracted by something shiny. Now stop pacing!” Kai yelled. They were both very irritated by the way Tyson was treating them. Tala opened his mouth to reply but just then the door opened. The two who stepped out the door were complete strangers to Tala and Kai. The first Argent had ankle length silver hair, midnight blue eyes, pale skin, and silver and blue scaled wings. The second Tyson had waist length braided blue hair, molten silver eyes, pale skin, and blue and silver wings.
“Who are you two? We asked to see Tyson not his dragon friends.” Tala said.
“You're looking at him!” Tyson growled.
Tala's eyes widened almost imperceptibly while Kai shook his head.
“That's not possible Tyson was human.”
“Tyson has never been human. Due to special circumstances he simply came late into his heritage.” His brother said with a smirk.
“Who are you?” Tala snarled the wolf in him showing through.
“I'm Kinomiya Argent Tyson's older brother.” Argent hissed. Dark clouds began rolling in, the wind picked up, thunder boomed, and lightening flashed across the sky turning Argent's hair a ghostly white.
“Big brother calm down. Why did you two want to see me? Tyson asked.
We came to ask for you help.” Kai replied.
“You need my help? Why?” Tyson asked giving them both an incredulous look.
“We need a place to stay for a few days while we look for an old friend who's supposed to be in the area.” Kai answered.
“You wish to stay with me of all people? Why not simply stay in a hotel? You know we've never gotten along well.” Tyson questioned not able to believe that his old team captain would stay with him if he had anywhere else to go.
“…….While I'm here I have some things I wish to discuss with your grandfather.” Kai said.
“Little brother let them stay, though Kai may not be telling us everything I have a feeling both he and Tala will need our help very soon.” Argent said with a sarcastic smile. He simply could not help it something about Tyson's old acquaintances riled his temper making him want to rip something to shreds.
Right after Argent had finished speaking, their grandpa came wandering out the back door.
“It's getting late. Why don't you finish you conversation inside?” Grandpa asked.
Argent rolled his eyes at his grandpa's intrusion before answering “Yes Grandpa.” and then whispering to himself under his breath. “Nosy old Dragon!”
Tala who heard Argent's last comment raised an eyebrow wondering what he meant by it.
“Tala stop staring into space and come on!” Kai shouted.
Tala turned to see that the others had already gone inside. He snarled silently under his breath before heading inside to find Argent talking quietly to his grandfather in the kitchen while Kai and Tyson sat in the living room pretending the other didn't exist. Smirking at his friend's behavior, he was brought back to the real world when Argent began to speak.
