Chapter One
Running Away To A New Life

Hana's POV

`Come on you can do this. Keep running, it's the path to your freedom.' I screamed inside my head over and over again. I was running, running away from my past. Trying to get away from that god-forsaken place of a hell.
“Stop Her!” cried Tala of the Demolition Boys. They were chasing after me, their comrade, but this time I wouldn't be coming back alive. Their orders were strict, to kill me, and dump my body, if I didn't come back willingly, but even then I would still be killed. Boris had had enough of me and my invalid tries of escape, and now it was time for me to pay with my life.

`I can't go back. I can't go back! Boris will kill me after he's had his way with me again.' I told myself over and over again.

My name is Mayonaka Hana Namida. I was orphaned at the age of five, after Boris killed my parents and family, and I have been his slave ever since. Tonight was the final straw I couldn't take it anymore. Being raped by Boris while my team just watched, to scared for their lives if they tried to help. I could see that they were afraid of him, and yet at the same time their eyes held hatred of what he was doing to me. I had decided the time had come for me to leave this place, and when I did I knew I wouldn't come back alive. They didn't want what was supposed to happen to me, we were a small family if not friends. But what could they do, they had to obey Boris or face the same fate as me.
I ran, and ran, even past the point of when I felt that my lungs were going to burst. I kept pushing myself harder, and harder, there was no way I was going back. Not now, not ever again, they'd have to kill me first.

“I'm sorry my friends, but I just can't go back.” I said into the night as I ran, being followed closely by my pursuers. Some how or another they heard, and they knew that by killing me they would have set me free. So when I looked back upon them now, I could see that their eyes were filled with hatred, but were mostly endless pools, being held within them no emotion. I knew it was just an act nothing more, nothing less, they did it to protect themselves, but mostly they did it to make me feel better. They knew that if they looked at me in my last moments of life with sadness in their eyes, I would feel nothing but guilt and sorrow as I past on.

Normal POV

“Hana Stop!” yelled Tala in a cold voice.
“No! I'm not going back, I can't take it anymore!” She cried out. She ran with all of her might, until she saw an alley. As she came up to it she turned into the alley, but found out one second to late. It was a dead end. Hana ran to get to the end as fast as she could, but only made it half way. Her stamina was wearing thin on her, but she kept pushing herself, until she felt a wave of pain shoot through her body.
`No. No. NO. NOO. NO NO NO NO NNNNNNOOOOOOOOOO!' she cried in her head over and over again. She couldn't go back, and she certainly wouldn't let them kill her.
“I can't go back. I can't go BACK!!” she screamed with rage as a blinding white light encircled her form.
“Elf of Darkness!” she screamed. “Rise!” The blinding white light, slowly started to turn red, and when it died down the boys looked on in shock. Hana had become her own bit beast. Her clothes were black, with red lining on the edges, and her hair had grown longer, now reaching to small of her back. Her eyes, Oh those eyes of her's. They were no longer the brown pools that once held so much emotion for her small family in them, instead now they were blood red, with nothing but pure hatred swimming around in their endless pools. Her ears had become more pointed, and she had grown at least another 5 inches.
“Surrounding Darkness!” she screamed as she pointed her hands at them. All of a sudden they were surrounded in pure darkness, and they were scared to death. They feared for their lives, but knew that they couldn't do anything to stop her. This had happened before, and she destroyed half of the abbey with it. She wouldn't stop until her stamina or body gave out before her, and they knew that wasn't long.
The boys had been standing there in total and complete darkness for at least 10 - 15 minutes, when it finally started to clear. As the last of the black energy evaporated what they saw was Hana lying on the ground. She had changed back into her human form, but was now lying in a pool of her own blood.

Hana's POV

As I lay there, bleeding from the gun shot wound. I could hear their footsteps as they drew closer. I knew what they were going to do, and yet I knew also that they didn't want to do it.
`Well at least I'll be with my family now.' I thought as I stared off into the darkness of the night. I could hear their footsteps getting louder by the second, which meant that they were drawing closer. My ragged breath getting caught in my throat now and then.
“Stop. You will not touch her.” A voice sounded off in the distance. I could hear my little family stop, as they grasped the trigger of their guns a little tighter.
`Who's voice is that?' I asked myself. My vision started to blur, and I could feel myself going in and out of consciousness. As they started to move forward again, my stamina and body gave out, and I past out into the unconscious state of my mind.

Normal POV

“Stop. You will not touch her.” A voice sounded off in the distance. The Demolition Boys looked around but saw no one. As they continued on to Hana's body to finish her nightmare once and for all their grip on their guns tightened. As they got closer, and closer to her a dark light appeared and out stepped four men from within. They were cloaked in dark outfits, and held a horror movie look to them.
“You shall not touch her.” Said the man with blood red eyes, and fangs that could pierce skin. He looked more like a vampire instead of human.
“Who are you, to be telling us what to do?!” Bryan said, as he took a step forward.
“We are the group known as the Dark Bladers.” Said the man who looked more like a mummy.
“Like that's going to stop us.” Said Tala as he and the rest of D-boys moved forward, intent on reaching their target to finish her off. As they came with in five feet of her prone form, the four men stepped in front of her, blocking her from their view.
“As I said you shall not touch her.” Said the vampire like man again.
“Why are you protecting her?” asked Ian.
“Yah. Why are you? Can't you see that this is what she wants?” asked the blond-haired male known as Spencer.
“I know it may seem cruel, and as much as we don't like this we have to kill her. She even knows this. She knows that if we don't, then we'll be killed as well. She's like a sister to us. We don't want to kill her, but we have no choice.” Said Tala as tears started to run down his face.
As the Dark Bladers looked on at the sight before them, they could see that this was truly something that they didn't want to do. These boys and girl were family, and most likely the only people they had. As they connected onto each other's wave links, they started to talk about what to do.

`Hey Sanquinex.' Asked the man who looked like a werewolf, to the vampire.
`Yes Lupinex?' Asked the vampire.
`What should we do. Honestly they look like they really love this girl. Should we help them, or leave them to kill her?' he asked.
`Honestly Lupinex. I don't know. I really don't know. It's not in our nature to help other people in this sort of way.'
`Yes well we must hurry and decide. The girl is dying fast from the blood lost.' Said the mummy like man.
`Yes I agree with Cenotaph. We must hurry and decide a course of action.' Said the one that looked like Frankenstein.
`Well. Sigh. I say we should make a group decision. All those who want to help them nod their head.' Said Sanquinex. They all nodded.
`Well then it's settled. We'll help them. But what are we going to do with the girl though?' asked Lupinex.
`We could take her in and adopt her as our daughter.' Said Cenotaph.
`Yah. That's a wonderful idea.' Said the Frankenstein man.
`I agree with both Cenotaph, and Zomb.' Said Lupinex. `And besides we do have more than enough room for her.'
`Well then. It's decided. We shall adopt the girl as our own, and she shall live with us. But what are we going to do about them. I mean. They can go on knowing that she's alive, but they can't tell. How are we supposed to trust them with something like that?' asked Sanquinex.
`Simple. We'll tell them to keep their mouths shut or else.' Replied Lupinex.
`Okay.' They all replied as they disconnected from each other.

“Hey!” yelled Zomb
“What do you want now? In case you haven't noticed we have job to finish, and a life to end.” Said Bryan, as his eyes once again turned cold. The tears that once graced his face now forgotten.
“We have a proposition for you.” Said Lupinex.
“About what?” asked Ian. “What could you possibly come up with that would mean anything to us?”
At this the Dark Bladers each grew a small smirk on their faces. Looking back at the girl, they quickly noticed that her breathing had started to slow down little, by little.
“Our proposition is this.” Said Sanquinex. “We will take in the girl, and adopt her as our own, on one condition.”
“What? You would do that? But why?” asked Spencer.
“Because being alive for centuries takes a toll on you. You eventually start to search for someone that you can take in and care for.” Replied Cenotaph.
“Yes, but why would you want her?” asked Tala
“Because.” Replied Lupinex. “She is the one we've been searching for.”
“And besides.” Said Zomb. “We have more than enough room for her, where we live.”
As the D-boys listened on, they each looked at each other, contemplating on weather or not they could trust them, with their (so-called) sister. As they each looked into the other's eyes they knew what to do, and Tala stepped forward.
“We accept your proposition. Name your one condition?” said Tala, as he and the other's nodded their approval.
“Our one condition is this.” Said Sanquinex. “That if we take her in, you are not to come and look for her. Also that you are not to tell anyone of her condition.”
“We accept this term also.” Said Tala as he and the others turned around and started to leave.
“Just be careful with our sister. Ok?” they all said as they turned the corner. They were heading back to abbey to tell Boris that she was dead, and that the body had been dumped.

“Well, let's get her taken cared of, before something really bad happens to her.” Said Lupinex, as he and the other Dark Bladers turned around and started walking towards the girl, or their soon to be adopted daughter.
As Sanquinex knelt down to pick her up, she awoke with a jolt, and just stared up at the night sky. She looked up at the men, and just stared at them with a curious and cautious gaze. Sanquinex just smiled down at her, as he gently lifted her up in to his strong arm, and placed her against his warm chest. She was still bleeding though, and they were in a fast pace to get her to their mansion. Her breaths started to come in short and raspy sounds as her vision started to blur again. As much as she tried though she couldn't stay awake, and soon passed out into the strong hold of one of her soon to be father figures.

Sanquinex's POV

As I kneeled down to pick her up, she quickly awoke with a jolt. I looked down and noticed though that she just stared up at the sky, and then turned her gaze upon me, and my fellow comrades. As she saw us her gaze quickly turned to one of curious, and cautiousness. I just smiled down at her, as I gently lifted her up, and placed her close to my body, so she could stay warm.
As we started to move quickly towards our home, I noticed that her breathing started slow once again, and that her eyes started to slowly close. As we came closer and closer to our home, her breathing started to shorten, and started to come out in raspy sounds. I noticed that she was trying with all her strength to keep her eyes open, but lost the battle as she once again passed out into my arms.

“We must hurry, I'm losing her fast.” I said to my comrades as we ran at a much faster pace. We knew that we would be okay, because no one could see us because of the fast set pace.
“Sanquinex, feel her forehead. Does she have a fever?” asked Lupinex as he looked over at me, and then down to the girl in my arms.
As I gently cradled her in one arm, I felt her forehead and gasped. She felt as though she was on fire. I quickly took my hand away within seconds.
“She feels as though she's on fire.” I said as I picked up my pace even more. I wasn't going to let her die. No matter what I was going to get her home in time to save her.
“There it is. Come on hurry!” Lupinex yelled as we once again all picked up our paces and raced home.
As we reached the compound we quickly made our way to the front steps, and hurriedly went through the front door. As we made our way to the second floor, and to the room that would become hers all to soon, Lupinex quickly left to the third floor to fetch the medical supplies. When we reached her room, I gently laid her on the bed, while Zomb left to fetch some warm water and a clean cloth to clean her wounds with. Cenotaph stayed behind and we began to strip her of her clothes to see the injuries that she had sustained during her adventure.

Normal POV

As Cenotaph and Sanquinex quickly but gently started to remove her clothing they gasped in horror at what lay in front of them. She had wounds covering her torso some old, but most of them new. About three fourths of them looked to be infected, and they could see that the gunshot wound had gone completely through.
“Who could've done this?” asked Cenotaph as he lightly ran his hand over one of the deep slashes on her body. Hana winced in pain, and let out a gasp as tears started to cascade down her face. Sanquinex, and Cenotaph could both tell that she was in great pain.
“Lupinex, Zomb. Hurry Up!” yelled Sanquinex as he went out into the hallway. They had successfully removed her close without causing her too much pain, and she was now lying down, with a blanket loosely covering her still form.

“Sanquinex. Did you get her clothes off?” asked Lupinex as he returned. Zomb had just walked through the door, and was now helping him set down the supplies that they would need for her.
“Yes, but I'm afraid we're going to need a lot more bandages than that.” He replied as he took off the sheet to reveal the slash marks all over her body. They knew they needed to hurry or else they would lose her. Her color was fading fast, and her body was starting to turn cold.
“Okay guys. I'm going to need you to help me on this.” Said Lupinex as he took out a syringe, and a small bottle of liquid. As he filled it to the necessary amount, Zomb started to slowly and gently wash her body, getting off all of the dried, and caked blood off of her skin.
“Cenotaph could you please take some alcohol, and wash her shoulder.” Asked Lupinex as he started opening the others supplies and getting them ready. One of the things that he took out was a needle, and some thread. As he started to thread the needle, and get all the other supplies ready Cenotaph did as he was asked, and soon Lupinex injected the liquid into her body.
As he gently inserted the needle Hana let out a gasp, and her eyes shot wide open as a wave of pain shot through her body. She tried to struggle against all that was happening to her but she had no strength, and so just laid still as the medicine started to take effect on her.

Hana's POV

`Where am I? Gasp!' I took a deep breath in, as I was stuck painfully in the arm with something sharp. I opened my eyes wide but couldn't see anything at the moment. I could feel something being injected slowly into my body, and it hurt so badly. My mind was in a rush of thoughts, trying to figure out what was happening to me. My body was in so much pain. It hurt to breathe, I couldn't even move.
`Where am I?' I asked myself again. I could feel my body grow heavier by the second, as my vision started to once again grow blurry. As I looked around I noticed four figures leaning over me. As I tried to get as good of a look as I could of them, my body and mind gave out, and I passed out into the realm of darkness.

Normal POV

“Good she's out.” Said Lupinex as he started to grab a cloth from Zomb to speed up the process of cleaning out her wounds.
“Sanquinex could you take one of those bowls over there, and put some alcohol in it?” asked Lupinex as they finished with the front side, and were gently turning her over to start on the back.
As they got her fully turned over they all gasp at what they saw. Her back was more cut up than the front, and practically all of them were infected. Her body was all cut up; she was going to need stitches upon stitches just to keep them from opening again.
“No wonder she's in so much pain.” Said Zomb as he started to clean off her back as gently as he could. Lupinex quickly left to get some more supplies, with worry evident on his face.

{A Few Minutes Later}

“Sanquinex could you help me here?” asked Lupinex as he came back in. His arms were full of bandages and thread. As soon as he got back he found that her back was clean and he started to disinfect the cuts with the alcohol as best he could.
“Okay. Sanquinex could you hand me the thread and needle.” He asked as he placed the disinfectant down, and started to look at the gunshot wound. As he reached up to take the needle from Sanquinex's hand Hana's eyes shot open and soon she let out a blood-piercing scream.
“Aaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhh!” she screamed. The pain she was feeling was so immense.
“I'm sorry Boris, I'm sorry!” she screamed in rush words, as Sanquinex, and Cenotaph helped Zomb hold her down.
“Lupinex. Why is she awake?!” yelled Cenotaph as he tried to keep the girl from hurting herself.
Hana was struggling with all her might, trying to get out of the grip of the men that were surrounding her.
“Aaaaahhhhhhh! I'm sorry Boris, I'm Sorry!” she screamed again. “I won't disobey you again!” she kept struggling.

Hana's POV

“Aaaaahhhhhhh!” I screamed as I looked up into the faces of people surrounding me.
“I'm sorry Boris, I'm sorry!” I screamed as I tried to struggle free of their grip. My body was in immense pain, as I tried to get away from them. I could see three men holding me down, and the other one was doing something.
`Poison!' I came to think as I watched him fill up a needle with something.
`No! No!' I screamed again and again inside my mind, as I tried with all my strength to free myself once again.
“Aaaaahhhhhhh! I'm sorry Boris, I'm Sorry!” I screamed again, hoping for something. I could briefly hear them saying something to each other as I moved around in their grip.
`Where am I? Am I back in the Abbey? Boris is going to kill me. He's getting his henchmen to do it. No! no no no no no no NO!' I yelled in my head.
“Let go!” I screamed. This time I managed to free my hands from within their hold, as I sat up a wave of pain shot through my body, and I roughly kicked two of the men that were coming at me. As I got up and ran I realized that my clothes were gone, so I had no choice but to hide within the place that I was in now, until I could find something to cover me up. As I got out into the hallway, I realized that some of my wounds had reopened and I was now bleeding profusely.
As I ran to get away from them, I ran into something hard, and fell onto the ground with a thump. As I landed on the hard floor a wave a pain shot through me, and I fell the rest of the way down. I was now lying on the ground staring up at the ceiling.
“Don't. Move.” Said a voice that was stern, and demanding.
I closed my eyes, as I felt tears start to come up trying to escape their hold with in me. As I willed back the tears I looked up and into the eyes of a man who looked like a vampire more than a human. As he started to come towards me, I tried to get up, but my strength was completely diminished.
“No. No. No!” I cried as he came closer and closer to me.
`Is this the end? What's going to happen to Tala and the others?' I asked myself as I closed my eyes, and whimpered at the pain that I was in, and the fear of dying.

Sanquinex's POV

“Lupinex. Why's she awake?!” cried Cenotaph as I watched him try to keep his hold on her as she started to struggle. I had grabbed her right wrist and was holding it down the best I could. For some reason or another she had a huge amount of energy left within her that she could still fight with the three of us holding her down. As Lupinex started to prepare another needle filled with the anesthetic to calm her.
“Let go!” I heard her scream as she was able to pull her hand from Cenotaph. As Cenotaph tried to get another hold of her hand she quickly kicked both him, and Zomb, then freed herself and fled. As she left the room I quickly disappeared and reappeared in front of her. As she started to come closer she ran into me and quickly fell on the floor. When she tried to get up, I noticed that her wounds had once again opened, and that she was now bleeding profusely. She tried to get up, and I noticed that she was in great pain, as she let out a gasp and quickly fell to the floor. As I started to come towards her she tried to move but couldn't.
“Don't. Move.” I said in a stern, and yet demanding voice. I could see her close her eyes as she started to whimper from pain, and most likely also fear.
“No. No. No!” I heard her cry softly as I came closer and closer to her lying on the floor.
“Shh.” I said as I tried to calm her. “I'm not going to hurt you. It's okay.” As I reached her form lying on the floor, I quickly grabbed a hold of her and once again disappeared, and then reappeared with her in the room. As she tried to struggle but couldn't Lupinex quickly came over and injected the anesthetic.
“No!” she cried as she tried to move. “No. NO. No.” she said as she started to cry. As I picked her up, and once again placed her on the bed Lupinex quickly came over and started to once again examine her gunshot wound.

Normal POV

As Sanquinex reappeared in the room with her, Lupinex quickly came over and injected the anesthetic.
“No!” she cried as she tried to move from within the hold of Sanquinex.
“No. NO. No!” she said again, but this time she started to cry. For once in her life she was truly afraid of the man named Death.
“Let go. I'm sorry Boris. I'm Sorry!” she screamed as Sanquinex gently picked her up.
“Shh. Shh. We're not going to hurt you.” Said Cenotaph as he gently stroked her hair to calm her down a bit.
“Tala? Bryan? Brothers? Where…are you?” she asked quietly as she fell into a deep sleep.
“Good.” Said Lupinex. “Now lets get her cleaned up.” He reached over to grab the bandages and the needle so he could sew up her wounds.
“What did they do to her?” asked Zomb as he watched Sanquinex gently place her back on the bed.
“How could someone be so cruel?” said Cenotaph as he pulled out an old shirt to use as a nightgown on her.
“All finished.” Said Lupinex as he stood up and started to clean things up. It had taken him about 5 hours to totally stitch, and bandage her wounds. As Sanquinex gently put the shirt on her, she started to whimper from the pain.
“Lupinex pull the sheets down.” Said Sanquinex as he gently picked her up for him to do so. As he laid her down Cenotaph and Zomb pulled the covers up to her chin, as they all looked at her one last time before they left her to rest.
