Chapter 2- Kidnapped

Inside the pool, Rei watched the scene with anger. Despite himself, he couldn't help a smirk, it was plainly obvious what would happen when Kai glared into nothingness like he was doing now… but that would get them into trouble wouldn't it? The beyblade mini-championships were coming up in two weeks and it wouldn't do the team good to have a bad reputation at one of the best five-star hotels in the city. Rei sighed and jumped out of the pool, he hadn't swum far since he had been waiting for the slate haired teen to get in. He quietly approached Kai and gave a furious glare directly to the tall brunette man behind him.

"Oh there you are Kai-chan. Excuse me sir but would you mind getting your hands off my koi?" Rei almost burst out laughing at the look on Kai's face. It was priceless! One of his eyebrows was raised as if to say `What the hell are you doing?' and it made him look extremely adorable in Rei's opinion.

"Your koi?" The young man grumbled with disappointment.

"That's what I said." The Chinese blader smirked as he slipped a hand behind Kai's back and pulled him out of the man's grasp and against himself. The man glared at him for a moment. Rei slipped his hand down and gave the taller boy's butt a confirming squeeze. He snorted and left the scene, grumbling thing that sounded a lot like `We'll see about that' and `I'll have him one way or another.'

"Rei what the--"

"I was just helping out, we'd get in trouble if you started a fight." The raven-haired boy smirked, liking the closeness of the situation. Unfortunately, Kai noted this too.

"Hn, you can let go, he's gone." Blushing furiously, Rei pulled his arm away and stepped back.

"Can we swim `now'?"

"Hn." That was evidently a `yes.' Kai momentarily took a glance back at the retreating man. It was the guy he had gotten bad vibes off earlier, and does vibes weren't going away, he could feel that something bad was going to happen.

After drying off and changing, Kai and Rei stalked out of the room they were sharing and met the others in front of one of the many lifts in the hotel.

"What took you guys so long? If you wanted to make out then you could have at least told us," Max smirked as he nudged Rei good-naturedly. The Chinese teen blushed slightly and he turned away.

"Uh… I'll meet you guys at the training center; I just forgot something" with that he took off own down the hall, leaving his confused teammates to wonder.

"Uh, that was weird…"

"Yeah, I think he really likes you Kai. You two make a great couple--" Tyson stopped, noticing the familiar yet still effective death glare he was receiving. He was pretty used to it, after all, the smallest things could set Kai off, he was like a ticking time bomb, waiting to explode.

((Rei's P.O.V))

There it is again, the light padding of footsteps, but every time I turn around, there is nothing, just the empty well-designed hallway. Someone's following me…oh well, probably just another crazed fan, they're around more often than not. Can you believe what some people will do? I mean just a week ago we went to this new training arena where some other bladers were training too and I got a pink frilly bra thrown at me, the next thing I knew some damn bitch was sticking her tits in my face! And it's not just the girls, no; it's the guys too, except they throw boxers! I am NEVER going to that place again!

Finally, I'm here. Quietly slipping into the warm room I glance around the place. It's pretty neat but we didn't go all out and only got simple bedrooms. This one is only a single ample room with the exception of the bathroom of course. The furniture is all rich mahogany, two beds, a cupboard with the TV and stuff like that in it, an over stuffed white leather couch and the coffee table. The two beds are situated close together and can only fit a small chest of drawers in between. I'm pretty happy with the setting actually, this way I get to look at Kai closely when he's sleeping. Ok so I like another guys, but it's not very unusual these days…especially with some specific people around, it's just too hard not to fall for him, all the other beybladers had a crush on Kai at some point but they all back down in fear of getting beaten…but I won't! I'll never give up until he tells me to.

Did I mention that it's damn hot during daytime? Well it is! Ok never mind the chatter, I gotta get what I need and get to the training area so I can stare at Ka-I mean train. I pick up my light backpack and rummage through it. The soft fabric eventually brushes against my fingertips and I grab it. It's my red headband with the Ying-Yang symbol on it, I've had the headband ever since I can remember but the black and white symbol is new is new. I only got it because Kai chose it, unbelievable I know but he really did and that's why I never take it off as much as I used to.

I sigh deeply and approach the door once more, clutching the band securely in my hand. I look down as I push the door open hesitantly.

"Guess who?" That voice… I recognize it! Snapping my head up I find myself staring at the guy who was hitting on Kai this morning.

"What do you want?"

"I said I'd have your boyfriend no matter what, and you're going to help!"

The next thing happened in a hasty flash and the all that I saw was darkness…

"KAI!!!!!!"
