She went over to her cell phone which was playing `Pieces of Me' by Ashlee Simpson.

 

“He-I mean, Moshi moshi?” She answered.

 

“Miss Kagome Myama? I'm afraid I have some bad news.” A doctor said.

 

Kagome listened, and merely answered `okay.', before hanging up. She changed out of her school clothes and into her normal outfit, put her rollerblades on, and went as fast as she could to Hilary's house, staining the sidewalk with her tears.

 

Hilary asnwered the door to see the crying Kagome, “Kago, what's wrong?”

 

“My mom-she got into a car accident. The doctor said he highly doubts she'll make it.” She cried out, collapsing down on Hilary's porch.

 

“Hilary, what's taking you so long?” Rei asked, coming around from the living room to the foyer, along with the other Bladebreakers.

 

Rei immediately went over and helped the crying Kagome up, “Hey what's wrong?”

 

Hilary explained it to Rei, and he set Kagome down on Hilary's bed. After a while, Kagome had cried herself to sleep.

 

“If something happens to her mom, who will she live with?” Tyson asked.

 

“She said her dad is somewhere in Russia, but she told me over the phone once that she has dad issues.” Hilary said, looking at the sleeping girl.

 

“Maybe she can live with you.” Max said cheerfully, trying to brighten the moment.

 

Hilary gave a slight smile, “We'll just have to see.”

 

Kagome's eyes slowly opened, only to see Kai first. She got up and looked at everyone else in the room.

 

“Why am I here?” She asked.

 

“Well, you kinda came over here and then fell asleep.” Hilary said, deciding not to tell her the rest.

 

“Oh. Well, I gotta get home now. I need to practice my lines.” She said, running out the door.

 

Back to Kago.....

 

“Akira, I know that I wrote that song for you, but I'm having another knot in my heart. I want to know, am I the one that you've been dreaming of, or has all of this been in vain?!” She cried out, practicing her lines for the play.

 

“I've been dreaming of you, so go ahead, I'm dreaming now.”

 

Kagome turned around and saw Kai, and everyone else, including Hilary, in her door way.

 

“You really should lock this thing.” Tyson said, walking to her kitchen.

 

Kagome glared at Tyson and turned to Kai, “You already know the lines?”

 

“I was in the same English class last year as Hilary. She made us memorize it.” Kai said.

 

“Oh. Okay.” She said, going back to rehearsal.

 

The next day....(b period is first)

 

“Akira, I wanna believe what you said. But I honestly think, this is just to pity me!” She cried.

 

Kai (his turn to audition, forced to) stepped forward, “Sora, I would never do this just to pity you. To pity you would be to show weakness, but you're anything but weak. In fact, you've been making me crumble down. I never would admit this, but....Aishiteru.” (i love you)

 

Mrs. Steele jumped up from her chair, “That was amazing Kai! Kazu you're next, but I think I know who it is!”

 

Kazu stepped up to the stage and smirked at Kagome, “Kago-chan, I know you want to skip straight to the kissing scene.”

 

“Dream on!” She snapped.

 

“That will be enough. Practice!”

 

“Akira, I wanna believe what you said. But I honestly think, this is just to pity me!” She cried, repeating the line.

 

“Kago-chan, I mean, Sora! I'm not pitying you. To pity you would be to show-line!” He called out.

 

Mrs. Steele sighed, “I think I've made my decision.....”

 

During nutrition.....

 

“Congrats Kai, you get to make out with Miss America.” Tyson said, laughing at the thought.

 

Kai glared and Kagome blushed, only to glare when she saw Kazu walking towards her.

 

“Kago-chan, I know I might've unfairly been cast as the villain-whom you don't make out with. But, we can make up the missed time at my house tonight.” Kazu said.

 

Kagome rolled her eyes, “The day I make out with you, is the day I die. Scratch that, farther than death.”

 

Kazu followed her around, “Come on Kago-chan...”

 

“Okay, stop there! To you, I'm not Kago-chan, Kago, or even Kagome! I'm Myama-san!” She yelled, slamming her locker.

 

After school...

 

Hilary and Kagome quickly changed into their normal clothes, and the guys had changed back at school. They were hanging around the park, Hilary and Kagome with their rollerblades.

 

“Uh-oh, Krazy Kazu heading our way.” Hilary said, pointing at the annoying flirt.

 

He came over, running his hand through his hair, “As much as I don't want him to come...Kai and Kago-chan have to come to the drama room for rehearsal.”

 

“Not Kago-chan, Myama-san to you!” She yelled.

 

Kazu eyed Kagome's outfit, “Kago-chan, you look great! Now only if it was a tube top...”

 

“Dream on Karihashi-san.” She said, following Kai to the drama room.

 

Rehearsal; Time: 5:00

 

“Scene 1: Fountain Meeting!” Mrs. Steele called out.

 

Kagome was shown sitting on a stone bench next to a fountain. It was only rehearsal, so she didn't have to be in costume.

 

Kai came up behind her and placed a hand on her shoulder and she bolted up.

 

“You! You're the prince of the enemy!” She called out, stepping back, only to trip over a small rock.

 

(part of the script, just so you know!)

 

Kai showed an evil glint in his eyes and gagged her whispering, “If you try anything, you'll find your kingdom bombed to the afterlife.”

 

(when they're rehearsing, here're their names, which I will use, but only during rehearsal!

 

Kai-Akira, Prince Akira, Master Akira, etc.

 

Sora-Sora, Princess Sora, Lady Sora

 

Kazu-Kirohatsu, `insert many evil nicknames', `insert cuss words')

 

Sora let a small tear shed down from her eye as Akira stuffed her in a bag and ran off.

 

The stage manager closed the curtains, changed the background to Akira's kingdom, and opened the curtains again to show Sora chained to a wall and Akira standing in front of her.

 

“Tell me where your kingdom hid my sister!” Akira yelled at her angrily.

 

(who knew Kai could be such a great actor?)

 

“Your sister? Hotaru? Like I'll tell you, I'd be betraying my own kingdom! Besides, we don't have her!”

 

Akira grabbed her by the collar, “I know your kingdom has my sister!”

 

“Cut!” Mrs. Steele called out, “That's enough for today. Kai and Kagome, you two are magic!”

 

“Thanks.” Kagome said, while Kai just responded, “Hn.”

 

“Alright, tomorrow there is no school, but at noon you must come here to practice! Leave!” She called out.

 

Kai and Kagome went back to the park to see that everyone was still there. Hilary was yelling at Tyon, Tyson was eating, Max was eating ice cream, and Rei was laughing at Tyson's current condition.

 

Tyson looked up from his food (gasp!), “Hey! Mr. Sunshine came back from his make-out session with Miss America!”

 

“Why is everyone calling me `America' or `Miss America'?” Kagome asked, slightly annoyed, but more confused.

 

“Cause you're from America. And you're outfit really shows it off, you know, the whole red-white-and-blue, stars-and-stripes kinda thing.” Rei asnwered.

 

“Well, the outfit is pretty hot.”

 

They all turned around to see Kazu, smirking at Kagome.

 

“Kago-chan, I asked Mrs. Steele for a small revision of the play.” He said.

 

“How many times do I have to try and get it through your cheaply-shampooed hair? It's Myama-san!”

 

“Anyways, I asked for a revision where I get to kiss you instead.” Kazu said evilly.

 

“And she said?” Kagome trailed off, not really caring because she knew that the answer was....

 

“Yes.” Kazu said, before leaving he added, “And I get to kiss you before Mr. Sunshine.”
