Beyblade Fan Fiction ❯ Together ❯ Getting to know you ( Chapter 11 )
"I believe I can answer that question with faiths. I was sent here from the day you both were born to watch over you, making sure everything went as was foreseen. In some things it was more necessary to interfere than others. And things that I wanted to interfere in, I wasn't allowed to" "how is that possible?" Paris' eyes narrowed "what are you?????"
"An angel" they both were startled by faiths answer, "what makes you think that?" "It's easy once you put 2 and 2 together. Let's start with your name: Legna, normal name, I agree, but when you spell it backwards u get angel. Your sudden diss- and reappearances aren't really easy to explain for a human. The fact you know everything about us even our "destiny". And last but not least the fact that you cannot stand the word hell" Legna flinched at the pronunciation of the last word. Paris remembered that the same thing had happened when they had talked at the airport. "Now that you mention it, wow faith, I would've never thought of that" "I must leave you now, since you know who I am my mission has succeeded. You will never hear of me again, one last thing though, your bit beasts are now in their final and ultra powerful form. Use them wisely. Goodbye. And with another flash the girl was gone
"That explains why they look different, what are you going to call yours?" Paris gazed at her blade that faith still had in her hand. "I don't know, hey, why don't we name each others blades? Yours looks like an elf of darkness" "then yours should be the angel of light" "that's got a nice ring to it don't ya think" the registration lady came up to them and gave them the explanation about the tournament that started in an hour. "Ow, damn, look at the time, I will never find a decent meal now, damn, got to go faith, see you at the finals ;)" Paris ran to the nearest dinner place in the hope that it wasn't closed yet. She was in luck and ordered something that could be served and eaten in an hour because the woman had made it clear that if you were late, you would be disqualified. She made it five minutes in advance.
And so the first round began. Now Belgium isn't exactly famous for its fantastic bladers so faith and Paris dominated the whole competition. And a confrontation in the finals was inevitable. Though the fight never happened. Paris and faith both forfeited. They still were part of the team because every one had to accept that they were the best. The other two members were Alicia and Mary.
They were introduced and not long after the two left without saying goodbye. Paris had two words for them in mind: stuck up snobs. "Hey you two, come back we haven't…. oh well, guess it's up to us to name the team now, huh" "I don't have any ideas, you name the team" so she began to sum up everything that sprang to mind "how bout the indestructables? Nooo, to obvious :p, the rebels? Nope, already exists" faith groaned, and Paris knew she was starting to get on faiths nerves. Until last named came up with an idea of her own. "How about destiny?" "I like it, anyone against? No, destiny it is then"
The international tournament wasn't in a few months, but they were already sent there to get to know each other better. That went fine between Paris and faith. But Alicia and Mary still stayed as far away from them as possible when there wasn't training scheduled. One day faith had gone to the other girl's room to have a long talk. Well, scold them for a long time was more like it.
Her eye fell on a scruffy old yellow bag faith was almost never seen without. In one of their talks she had said that it contained a lot of memories she didn't want to lose. She was curious and opened the bag carefully.
She picked out blades, blade parts and ripcords first. But when she dug deeper she found a beautiful jade dress. She wondered where faith had got it. She was always so secretive when her past was being talked about. She put it aside and found a little satin bag in there as well. In it was the most wonderful necklace she had ever seen. There was something written on it. She had a limited knowledge of Dutch but enough to translate the following words. "We will love you always, faith. Must've been a gift from her parents. - Last thing in the bag was a bunch of pictures. She flipped through them but was amazed at one of them.
