Beyblade Fan Fiction ❯ Torn: Love and Revenge? ❯ Chapter 2
After an hour of walking and thinking Rei decided to go talk to Kai. He had to know if the things Kevin said were true. He got to the hotel they were staying at and stopped. `What if Kai didn't want him there, he was just showing up out of the blue. What if he's busy, or has company I don't want him to get mad.' With that Rei turned and started walking back the other way, but stopped again. If he didn't get this off his chest now he'd never be able to sleep.
He made it all the way to their room and just as he was going to open the door Tyson opened it from the other side and stepped out. Rei turned to the elevator and ran. He heard Tyson and Kai calling him but he just couldn't face them. Not like this, he refused to let them see him cry.
He ran to a near by park. (They had been staying in this town for quite a while and he loved going to this park. It was the only place he could really think. He had mentioned it to Kai before and if Kai ever really listened to him he would know where to come find him right now.) Rei sat in a swing and tried to calm himself. "You're over reacting. They were probably just talking about beyblading, but what if they weren't? They wouldn't do that kind of thing to me. Would they? Ok Rei now you're really losing it. You are in an empty park talking to yourself."
By the time Rei had finally completely calmed down it was very dark. "Jeepers, I've had to have been out here for at least two hours." He said looking down at his watch. "And still nobodies come to find me. I see how important I am. Do I dare go back? What am I saying? I have to go back. I can't sleep out here."
Rei started slowly walking back to the hotel. He contemplated as many excuses as he could for running away like he did. None of them were believable. As he got closer to the hotel he realized he still wasn't ready to face Kai. Not yet. Then he remembered what Kevin had told him earlier. He turned and ran to the hotel the White Tigers were staying at. He got to the lobby and realized he didn't know their room number. He made his way to reception desk and tried to get it from her but she just kept repeating something about costumer privacy. Rei gave up and flopped down on a couch in the waiting room. `Now what the hell am I supposed to do?' Just then Max came flying in to the lobby and ran to the reception desk. "I need your help. I'm looking for a friend of mine and I think he's staying with some other friends in a room here. I don't know their room number and If you could just give it to me that'd be very helpful." The lady just replied with the same line that she gave Rei.
"Hey, Max. Don't freak on the lady, yet she's just doing her job. Any way is it me you're looking for?" Rei asked from across the room.
"Oh my goodness, Rei we have been looking all over for you. Kai and Tyson said you ran out of the hotel and seemed upset about something. Is everything ok?"
