Tyson waited in the lobby until he finally saw Max come out of the elevator, “Took you long enough, feels like I've been waiting here a year. Let's go I'm starving and pissed off.” He got up and together the two boys walked down the street to McDonalds. They ate their dinner with out saying more than two words to each other.

Just as they were getting ready to leave, Max finally spoke up. “I know this isn't your conversation of choice but what do you think is going on with Rei and Kai? Do you think their going to break up? If so will one or both of them quit the Blade Breakers?”

“You're right this isn't my choice of conversation but if you want my opinion, I hope Kai does dump that big baby and then kicks him off the team. It's not like we need him. Then maybe we could all get on with our lives.”

“You can't mean that. The Blade Breakers wouldn't be the same without Rei.”

“Yeah we'd actually get a lot of good practice in and we'd be unstoppable.”

“That's not what I meant and you know it. When I ran into Kevin in the hall he said he's not taking Rei away yet. Do you think he's got some kind of plan?”

Tyson refused to carry on the conversation any longer, but that last comment did give him an idea. If Kevin wanted Rei and Tyson just wanted Rei gone maybe the two of them could work something out. Tyson and Max walked back to the hotel in silence as Tyson devised many hypothetical plans for getting rid of Rei.

*** Rei and Kai's room***

“Ok Kai so I jumped to a stupid conclusion and now I've explained my reasoning why will you still not come out of the bathroom and talk to me?”

“What is there left to talk about? You have no faith in me, you feel better talking about me behind my back and you assume I'd lie to you for my own amusement. Did I miss anything?”

“I said I'm sorry what more do you want from me?”

“I don't even know right now, why don't you just go to bed and we'll get back on with our lives.”

“I'm not going to bed with you still mad at me. Please, just talk to me for a little bit. At least explain to me why you're so pissed off if you were ready to make close to the same assumption about Kevin and I when I came back.”

“That's completely different you left, and went to him. I've never once left you alone so I could be with Tyson, even though Kevin gives me the same feelings you get from Tyson.”

***In the Hall***

Kevin sat quietly outside the door. Oh how he wanted to barge in and take Rei away. He deserved so much better than Kai. Rei apologized but Kai's being a stubborn jerk and making Rei fell awful. `I should take Rei far away from here for a very long time. Show him the time of his life, make it so great he'll never want to come back and then he won't have to constantly be emotionally abused by Kai, but how do I get him away from here?' Kevin thought to himself as he saw Tyson and Max walk back into their room.

Tyson had just barely entered his room when he yelled to Max “Hey I forgot something down in the lobby, I'll be back in a minute.” He turned back toward the elevator and made sure to get Kevin's attention as he passed. “Hey brat, why you still sitting there? Don't you think it's about time you go home?”

Kevin was startled out of his deep thought. “What's it to you if and when I leave?”

“Just making conversation to make sure you didn't fall asleep out here.” Then Tyson continued toward the elevator motioning for Kevin to follow him.

`Why would he even pretend to be nice to me, and why does he want me to follow him? What is he planning? Does he really think he can out smart me? I'll take the bait but I defiantly won't get in an empty elevator with him.' Kevin signaled Tyson that he'd take the stairs and meet him in the lobby.
