Here is chapter seven. Let me tell you, you people are not going to like the last three chapters of this story. I'm sorry. But at the end, if I should do a sequal, I will.

 

Ch7

Kai was shocked. What did Rei just stay to him? Was he playing some stupid vampire tricks?

“Kai,” Rei said, “I understand if you don't feel the same way. I just had to tell you.”

“Okay,” Kai said slowly, “now lets get back to the problem at hand.”

Rei was disappointed. He just spilled his guts and Kai didn't respond. He didn't feel the same way. Rei was so depressed.

“Rei,” Kai whispered, “Let's go.”

It was day again and Rei was hanging out in Kai's room.

“Rei.”

What did Kai want?

“Yeah?”

He heard Kai take a deep breath.

“I think I feel the same way about you.”

Rei looked up at Kai in surprise.

“Really?”

Kai nodded.

“Yes.”

Rei grabbed Kai's hand and asked, “Where do we go from here?”

Kai shrugged.

“Well,” he then said, “I'm going to sleep. You can sleep with me.”

They both got into bed.

He's sleeping, Kai thought as he glanced at Rei, I think I'm in love with him, but how? I'm a vampire hunter, how did I fall in love with a vampire?

Kai traced his fingers over Rei's lips and sighed. He was confused, why was life so confusing?

I can feel him touching me, Rei thought as he pretended to sleep, Something's wrong? He seems disturbed.

A pain in Rei's stomach made him gasp in pain. Damn, he was hungry. He eeded blood and he wasn't going to take Kai's without his approval. That would be rude.

Feeling Kai fall asleep, Rei held him close and willed himself to sleep.

“Rei wake up.”

Rei heard Kai's voice and then felt a pair of lips against his own.

Rei opened his eyes and saw Kai's crimson orbs.

“Hey,” Kai said.

Rei nodded his hello.

“How are you doing?” Kai asked.

“Kai,” Rei said quietly, “I need to feed.”

Kai nodded. He knew that Rei wouldn't kill him, for some reason he trusted this bloodsucker.

“Okay.”

Rei then sunk his fangs into Kai's neck and drank.

“Do Rei and Kai have something going on?”

Max looked up and saw Tyson looking at him.

“Why?”

“Well,” Tyson said with a grin, `After they came back last night, they seemed to be cozier than normal.”

Max pondered what Tyson said. Maybe Rei and Kai had something going on. That would surely be interesting. Vampires and hunters didn't normally fall in love.

“Well,” Max finally said, “If they do, I hope it works out.”

Tyson nodded and said, “Yeah, I do too.”

When Kai regained his strength from Rei's drink, he chuckled.

“What?” Rei asked quietly.

“I was just thinking.”

“About what?”

Kai paused. What was he going to tell Rei would he tell him about his foreboding about them.

“Well?”

Kai shook his head and mumbled, “Don't worry about it.”

Rei nodded, he seemed to know that Kai didn't want to talk about it.

Then a noise downstairs startled them.

Someone had broken into the house! Either that or someone had died. Both Kai and Rei hoped that it was the first.

Looking at his watch, Kai said, “Stay here.”

Then he left Rei alone.

“Hello?” Kai called into the living room, “Who's there?”

Kai didn't get an answer, not that he expected one. Then he heard a noise in the kitchen and growled in his throat.

Grabbing a knife and waling to the kitchen, Kai prepared to battle.

Kai opened the kitchen door and heard a voice say, “We need to speak Mr. Hiwatari. We need to talk now, about the vampires you hold in your house…”

Kai turned and saw a middle aged man looking at him.

“Put down the knife,' the man said quietly, “I have no wish to hurt you.”

“What do you think you know about my home!” Kai demanded in anger.

“Well,” the man said, “I know that you have two vampires, Rei Kon and Max Tate, residing here.”

Kai paled slightly. How did he know about Rei and Max?

“By your silence,” the man began, “I'm assuming that you will not deny that they are here.”

Kai nodded, there was no use in denying it.

“Yes,” Kai said, “They do reside here, but what do you care?”

The man smiled and said, “I'm doing an experiment. It has to do with a vampire's blood. I was wondering if they would take place in it.”

Kai looked at the man and asked, “What's your name?”

“Alan Moore. I'll be in touch.”

The man then walked out of the house, into the sunlight, leaving Kai confused.

“Who was there?” Rei asked quietly.

“Some guy named Alan Moore.”

Rei looked up in surprise

“Alan Moore?”

“Yea, he said he would be in touch. Something about an experiment.”

Rei sighed.

`What?” Kai asked in concern.

“Kai, the experiment is to kill a vampire. He is one of the hunters trying to kill me. But does Kenny have an heads on how to save the sun?”

“No, but I'm thinking that if we are to beat them, we have to attack before the full moon. I'm going to take the machine during the day.”

Rei looked at Kai and said, “No. I don't want you to get hurt.”

Kai pushed Rei away and yelled, “I can take care of myself!”

“I know,” Rei said, “But I'm just worried. I don't want you to die.”

Kai smiled finally and said, “I'm going back to sleep.”

Rei nodded and left Kai alone.

I can' believe I'm doing this, Kai thought as he walked around trying to get back to the coven, Rei seemed so scared of this place.

Kai was sweating in the noon day sun, but he forgot to bring water.

As Kai slithered into the house, a voice said, “About time.”

Something hit Kai over the head and he blacked out.
