Rei`s eyes widened as the gate started glowing with a purple light.He was even more surprised when Brooklyn,Kai,Dranzer and another boy fell out of it."Brookie!"He ran over to his boyfriend and sat down beside him.The Dark Angel sat up,frowning as he rubbed his head."That hurt..",he muttered.Rei hugged him tightly,then remembered his friend."Kai..."
He stumbled over to the angel,who was clutching his phoenix tight,sobbing.Rei embraced him and rocked him,whispering that everything would be fine,they would be alright.Kai shook his head and fought his way out of his friend`s arms,crawling over to the unknown boy,a boy with fiercy,red hair.His eyes were shut,as in sleep.Kai shook his shoulder,calling his name.Rei watched them with wondering.Who was the boy?Apparently his name was Tala.The redhead opened his eyes and smiled when he saw his angel.
"Did we make it?I am sorry I fell asleep..."he yawned.Kai sighed in relief and hugged him.Tala laughed and hugged him back.When he saw the others his face turned a confused expression."Who are these guys?"he asked.The Dark Angel stepped forward,and Tala at instant knew who he was by the mere looks of him."I am Brooklyn,I must take Kai and his partner back to Heaven now.This is Rei",he pointed.Tala growled and stood up,grabbing the Dark Angel`s shirt."I won`t let you take him away from me!I wont fail him!"he shouted.
Brooklyn pryed his hands off."I have no choice,human.Come Kai",he said,offering the angel his hand.Kai sniffled and took it."You are not going to come willingly,are you?"he asked in a shaky voice,looking at his angel.Kai wiped away his tears and looked at him with sorrowfull eyes."I have no choice...I knew this would happen..."
Tala refused to believe it,he couldnt!He looked up,seeing the phoenix for the first time."You are Dranzer right?Talk sense into his head!"he demanded.The big bird leaned down to him and smiled."There is nothing I can do,child.Please understand this..."he growled,shaking his head."No!I won`t let you leave me,Kai!I love you!"everything went quiet as they all stared at him,tears streaming down his face.
Then suddenly Kai smiled and embraced him."I know you do...I love you too.We can do this together,ne?"He rested his forehead on the redhead`s and wiped away those salt tears with his thumb.Tala looked at him."Together..",Kai whispered and kissed him.Brooklyn cast a glance at his lover,who by now looked heartbroken."Come here",he said and took his hand.Rei did as he was told,and waited while the Dark Angel spoke his chant,the one that would take them away from Earth.
Robert was rather shocked when the Prison Guardian came bursting in through the door to the conference room,her movements swift with anger.She had taken the shape of a grown woman with long black hair that floated around her,black marks on her cheeks.Her eyes were all black too,bottomless pits to drown in.And she looked furious.One of the other Guardians stood up,looking straight at her.
"You are not supposed to be here,go back to your own domain at instant".She laughed bitterly."I won`t leave until you make me a promise",she stated.Anger was radiating from her body.Robert stood up,motioning for the others to stay calm.They could not afford to make enemies with her.She was a powerful being,and she had chosen to work for the angels on their request."Tell us what you want us to promise",he said,his voice firm.She stared at him.
"Promise me that you leave the boy alone.Punish him if you must,but dont separate him from Dranzer or his lover",she said and crossed her arms stubbornly.Robert looked at his co-workers and nodded at her."Fine,we can agree with that.We won`t separate him from any of the two mentioned".That caused mumbling and protests from the others.The Guardian silenced them with a single glare."Fine.They are back now,brought here by the Dark Angel",she stated and vanished into thin air.
When Tala opened his eyes again he knew he was in Heaven.The place was the most beautiful he had ever seen.They were standing on soft grass that tickled their feet,the sky all clear blue as far as the eye could see.There were flowers everywhere,birds,butterflies and other strange creatures that he had never seen before.It was all so..peaceful,so unlike the world he knew as Earth.He felt his angel`s hand in his own and turned his head to look at him.Kai had his eyes closed,his look peaceful.
"Home...",he muttered and opened them again,sighing."I missed this place..",he sighed.The phoenix let them climb her,and Tala felt strange sitting up there.He had never liked to have his feet off the ground,it made him feel awkward.Kai chuckled at him and took his hands."Dont worry,she won`t let you fall off",he assured his love,who now was looking a little pale.Brooklyn came over to them,a stern look on his face.
"You know I don`t want to do this.But I cannot let you go",he said bitterly.Kai smiled brightly at him."You are forgiven,Brookie.And oh..Take good care of Rei for me,will you?"He laughed as Rei blushed bright red and bit his lip."I will...",Brooklyn chuckled and lead the way.
