Hello everybody! Musicalgenius, here and present! This is the first fanfic I wrote, and I hope you enjoy it!

A Calm Night

 

It was on a cold, but calm night, where the earth turned upside down. Rukia, a shinigami stripped of her powers, is unable to sleep. As a cure, she decides to do what her older adopted brother used to do; climb up to the roof and watch the sky until sleep overcame you. So that she did.

 

However, this method did not work. Because the same thoughts that were haunting her during her sleep were also haunting her while she was awake. These thoughts were of a certain brave strawberry, Ichigo Kurosaki. Ever since Rukia met him, it was as if a thunderbolt would crash into her at every glance. Every look, every argument, and every touch was as cherished in Rukia's heart as a dog would be in others.

 

 

It took her a while to figure out what these feelings meant, but after a conversation with Orihime, it hit her like a wall. Rukia was in love.

 

 

Love. It was a new concept to Rukia. Even after living for 300 years and more, she had never experienced true love. But now she did, with a living boy who occupied her every thought.

 

 

As Rukia was deeply in thought about Ichigo, this certain boy crept up beside her to sit beside Rukia on the roof. He could not sleep either, because a certain shinigami with a love for bunnies was occupying his thoughts. It was to his surprise that Rukia was already on the roof.

 

 

Seeing her there, in all her beauty and wisdom, something in Ichigo's heart was awoken. He suddently had a thought, that if he didn't confess soon, someone else would capture Rukia's heart.

 

 

So he did just that. Ichigo slowly came up behind Rukia, sat behind her and pulled her fragile frame to his. Rukia was stunned, but was somehow expecting it, because she was also planning on confessing her love. As luck (or doom) would have it, they both decided to confess their love at the exact same time, leaving both sides blushing, confused, and happy.

 

Having understood what the other had said, Ichigo and Rukia spent their first few hours together after having finally admitted their love. They did not know what their classmates would say, but then again, love is stronger that words.

This is it for this fanfic, I might write a sequel, if I get enough positive comments on this story. Please review!
