Bleach Fan Fiction ❯ Falling into her Arms ❯ The Beginning of the End ( Prologue )
[ T - Teen: Not suitable for readers under 13 ]
I do not own Bleach, which belongs lawfully to Tite Kubo.
I do own Jakunen Fujiro, who belongs lawfully to me.
A small girl trembled in fear behind the huge green dumpster that was her hiding place, why was it always her anyway? Not that she cared, maybe it was just bad luck that always made her the magnet for bullies. Still, it would be nice if someone else could get chased like a mouse out of it's hole.... it didn't always have to be her. The girl sighed and adjusted her position slightly.
Being a fifth grader was pretty hard, not having any friends or companions to fit in with was hard, but this! This was just ridiculous! The girl had been known to have an unlikely string of bad luck, but sometimes it just seemed like a curse.
The girl wore a simple bright pink tanktop covered in dust and dirt, not exactly filthy, but enough to make you sneeze. She had simple baggy jeans that weren't exactly in top condition either, running around her small town all morning usually meant falling down a lot... So it was dotted with holes, and the dark blue had attained a dirty brown color around the knee area. Her hair was a light golden color, what you'd expect honey to look like. It fell down well past her shoulders and covered her eyebrows. Streaks of natural highlights streaks down the surface of her hair. Rather pretty, all in all, not beautiful, but still pretty.
"Hey, Enkou," one of the three "gang" members said loudly, "Where's that damn Jakunen? We normally kick her ass before now and get to eat lunch."
The "gang" member snorted and kicked the ground. He had short curly hair that came thickly over his right eye, pale skin, and bright chestnut brown eyes. His arm twitched and curled into a tight ball. He was really going to kick his classmate, Jakunen Fujiro's, ass this time.
Just my luck, Jakunen thought in her own silent world behind the dumpster, I thought I might actually get away this time...
She closed her bright blue eyes, willing the darkness to creep in to her thoughts. Jakunen shivered, her slightly tan skin going a shade or two paler. She bit her lip. She could save them the trouble and just get out now....
"Tobi, you shouldn't always expect the mouse to come out of it's hole." Enkou replied in a calm tone.
Jakunen's name for the three would always be "bully one", "bully two", and "bully three"... but she knew their real names, she just thought they were just to idiotic to deserve them.
"Hey there she is!"
Jakunen sighed again, found, the chase was over. Now for the physical abuse...
She opened her eyes to see the three idiots running towards her, grins splashed across all of there faces. A shadowy profile jumped out at them, tripping the three and causing mass confusion.
"Why would you pick on some girl?" He said and kicked "bully three"'s head, hard. "Why don't you try to pick on me instead, huh?"
Bully three cowered and put his hands over his head, he wasn't much of a fighter when he had to fight someone who could strike back. By now, the other two had fled in a mass of flailing arms.
Jakunen blinked once in surprise, maybe it was her lucky day after all.
It seemed that the boy had knocked "bully three" out cold, as he had walked over to her in a few graceful motions. As he grew closer, she could tell that he had long black hair, shorter on the left side than the right, and big blue-green girly eyes with long lashes. He wore a white T-Shirt, that came well past his ankles, and black pants. His hair was uncombed, which left him to be judged as the lazy type.
This was Ulquiorra Schiffer from her own class. He was a strange one, but oddly respected by all of the students. No one really knew why. It was an unspoken law that must not be broken.
He held out a hand to the small frightened girl covered in dust with a smile. "You always seem to get into all sorts of trouble, Jakunen" He said, still smiling.
She took his hand, and so it started, the beginning of the end.
