She wasn't stupid—eccentric perhaps, but not stupid.

 

He wasn't nice—civil perhaps, but definitely not nice.

 

And they were complete opposites of each other and yet they had so much in common that it was strange when one stopped to think about it. And somehow he was a little bit kinder when she was around, or at least he smiled more. And somehow when she was with him, she was a little less sad when she thought about Kurosaki Ichigo, or at least her smiles reached her eyes.

 

And she wasn't perfect—she never thought she was.

 

And he wasn't perfect—though he likes to think that he is.

 

And that's all right, really, because who wants perfection anyway? .
